They were two July 2019 concerts that celebrated Moa's 20th birthday. 20 is the traditional age of adulthood in Japan. They even changed the lyrics for this version from "ichigo" (1 + 5, or fifteen) to "hatachi" (twenty).

Great reaction. The neck brace plays a big part in the BABYMETAL lore. It is a tribute to X Japan's founder and drummer Yoshiki who damaged his neck headbanging, needed surgery and had to wear one for most of the time. They have used the neck brace in many live concerts, at some everybody in the audience had to wear one - that was the case at Tokyo Dome in 2016, two nights both sold out and they gave out 55,000 neck braces each night with remote controlled LED bulbs for everybody to wear. 'Headbanger' (or to give it its official title 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!') is a song about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday. 15 is significant in Japan as that is when compulsory education ends, so the girl is also realising she will never be treated as a child again and her first 15 years passed so quickly, so she is etching this special night of her 15th into her heart so she will never forget. There are some very special live performances of 'Headbanger' (you stumbled on one of those, I will explain in a moment) ... at their Legend I concert in October 2012 the Kami Band made their very first appearance playing this song. At Legend D in 2012 on Su's 15th birthday and again at the start of Legend 1997 for her 16th they performed a dance remix of 'Headbanger' (the Night of 15 Re-Mix). They did it for reasons I won't go into now. At concerts in 2014 on or near their own 15th birthdays Yui (in Paris) and Moa (in Cologne) took over lead vocals for the second half of the song after Su handed them the mic and stand - she took their place in the choreo. Sadly we only have fancam videos of these two performances. The video you found (known as Moabanger) the same thing happened - it was 2019 at the Legend M concert celebrating Moa's 20th birthday (with a change of lyric to "this special night of my 20th") since 20 is also the official age of majority in Japan. We are hoping for a Momobanger in just over a week from now.

2 great versions of Headbangèr as you have being told this was Moa's 20th Birthday ❤ it was complition of several shows in Headbangèr bit Legend Metal Galaxy, La Fourm , and Legend M dont understand why they showed the Headbanging bit from diffrent show . Legend M was great with the stage rising up as it went between the audience all bowing did not need other shows ❤ 😃

My understanding is that the 15th and 20th birthdays have particular importance for a Japanese female. Moa also performed this to celebrate her 15th birthday. The background of the song-as best I can recollect, there are folks out there who have an encyclopedic knowledge of BM-is a 15 year old girl sneaks out to go to her first metal concert. She's headbanging and going wild right up against the front row barrier and ends up so exhausted she drops by the end of it. Keep up the great reactions.

This live version is actually a special performance that was done at Legend M for Moametal's 20th birthday that fans called "Moabanger". Next week at Legend MM we are hoping to see "Momobanger". Normally when they do it live, Su-metal sings all of the main part.

Little known trivia...the title "Hedobangya!" is a pun, a portmanteau of hedoban (headbang) and bangya, a slang word for band gal (groupie). When they translated it to English, the pun was lost.

Great reaction, but you've missed the crimson moon, a hidden detail, at the end of the music video. How big is this hidden detail? Well, they wrote a song about it, Akatsuki. Crimson moon exists in almost all folk legend of Asian countries. Some countries call it blood-moon, it's brings bad luckes and chaoses, and it changes people mentally, some might even bleed. The dark power is almost like full moon changes werewolf. When crimson moon hits, antcian village people will yell and warn others to be careful and hide for life. That's why in the begining of the song Su yells "AKATSUKI DA!!!". Who is Su warning to? Herself? Who is going to be changed? Herself? ,if we take the fox god wanted Su abandoned her idol life and to be reborn as a metal goddess into consideration.
