BabyMetal originally have 3 members. Yuimetal was an original member but decided to retire from the band. The new member was announced this year as their new album was released and prior to returning to international touring. Momoko Okizaki is the new member…. Known as Momometal.

I like the progressive metal elements and that heavy breakdown. There's also a reference to Macbeth by Shakespeare in the lyrics besides the lines famously known by Snow White tale. They also released a new version of The One at The First Take channel a few days ago along with the beginning of Sabaton's Europe Tour, first at Leeds, then London and a couple of days ago was Cardiff, yesterday was Glasgow turn finishing the UK leg, next is Paris time, everyone is having a blast with this live tour and some surprises, but so far this song wasn't part of the setlist, still the Western Kami Band is doing a great job. You are partially right, when The Other ONE was recorded, they were a duo, SU and MOA, but since the 1st of April, Momoko was "promoted" to MOMOMETAL, so they're back in three, thus they performed The One and BABYMETAL DEATH again 😅. 🤘🏻🦊⚡

I think you would really like "Believing" from their latest album, but there are no live videos yet. Another recommendation is BxMxC from the previous album, particularly the live compilations. Su-metal is rapping and her voice is a bit lower than usual in that song. Her voice is also a bit lower in Metalizm from their latest album, but it has a middle eastern flavor and an electronic beat. Metalizu-muzumuzumu 🎶Very unorthodox metal song, not for the faint of heart and there are unfortunately no live videos yet. I had always been reluctant to high pitched voices, not because they sounded bad, but my ears just didn't enjoy the frequencies. However, BABYMETAL captivated me enough to keep listening and my ears have now acclimatized. I'm glad they did because Su's singing is very unique and beautiful.

Thanks for this reaction, glad you enjoyed it. As others have already explained a bunch of things I'll take on the dancing. Babymetal has a trick for their dances: the dance moves are tied to the lyrics, so that also implies when the chorus is repeated the dances moves are as well. The dances are almost like interpretative dance, but think of it like sign language, because the dance moves are loosely related to the lyrics.

Nice reaction and I am happy that you gave Babymetal another chance and they were able to show what they are capable of. Aftre Yui left in 2018, they experimented with different set ups but ended up using three so called avengers as a third dancer. The avengers don't have a mic or sing, they were "just" there to make the choreography look more complete. This video has the footage from their recent live show on April 2nd where they officially announced Momoko as the new 3rd official member of Babymetal. Momoko has supported them as one of three avengers since 2019 but was the only one that kept supporting them after the two other avengers (Riho and Kano) became busy with their own projects. She absolutely deserved to become Momometal! There is a video on The F1rst Take channel with Momometal in it where they performed "The One". Go check it out!

After Yui officially left the group in 2018 they began putting dancers in her old spot. The most notable ones were the 3 avengers introduced in 2019. All three of the avengers appeared in their Metal Galaxy era music videos. Riho did a lot of shows as the avenger she’s one of the avengers in the da da dance music video. She’s is currently signed to another label and has been putting out solo music and has her own tv show. Kano was the youngest avenger being born in 2004 she was the avenger in papaya, elevator girl, and shanti shanti shanti music videos. She only did shows in Japan and didn’t do the world tour. Kano is currently in a girl group @onefive which is going strong. Lastly was momoko she did the entire world tour and is one of the avengers in the da da dance music video. She was the avenger the longest time doing the metal galaxy world tour as well as the nhk performances and all 10 Budokon performances in 2021. She was a contestant on girls planet 999 where she wasn’t allowed to talk about babymetal for whatever reason. When she was eliminated she went radio silent like babymetal. She was teased as the new third member of babymetal in the 2022 April 1st teaser trailer. She continued dancing with them in the January 28 and 29 shows when they again teased her becoming an official member. She was then in the light and darkness music video they released. On April 1st they ended the first concert of the babymetal begins shows with the announcement everyone was expecting that she is know an official member under the stage name MOMOMETAL. She has the same position as MOAMETAL being scream and dance. Like Moa she is know mic’d and like Moa is singing most things live. This music video is using footage from the April 1 and 2 shows. It’s mostly using footage from the April 2 show as you can only see one shot of them in the old uniforms they wore at the 1st show. MOMOMETAL is know touring with them. She was also in the second video that they filmed for the first take. The first take video was probably the first thing she ever did as an official member. You should check out that performance they sang the one unfinished version.

In videos from live shows you will nearly always see 3 girls - Yuimetal left in 2018 but from 2019 Su and Moa were supported by any one of three dancers (the Avengers Riho, Kano and Momoko) who would take turns dancing, but not singing, in the third spot. Riho is now a solo artist, Kano has her own JPop group. Momoko was the only remaining Avenger from about March 2020. On 1st April this year it was revealed that Momoko was to become the new third member - and she now also has a mic and sings along with Su and Moa. This official video for 'Mirror Mirror' was recorded at those shows at the start of April. It does have the studio audio dubbed over the live performance - the live audio with the live vocals and live instrumentation from the Kami Band is always a more desirable combination.🦊

Good reaction, thanks! Yep, this is a new song, the 5th and last single from their new album "THE OTHER ONE" both released on March 24th 2023. To be brief: they only performed as a duo on the last two concerts of 2017 and the majority of 2018. But they were technically a duo from October 2018 (when Yui Mizuno, their former member, left the group officially) to March 1st 2023 (when Momoko Okazaki, now MOMOMETAL was promoted as an official member). Hello and welcome back to BABYMETAL! Yes they've matured as the years have gone on. They recently announced a new member (Momometal) to join Sumetal and Moametal. Yuimetal left due to health reasons and BM had 3 "avengers" filling in for Yui's spot but only dancing. Momometal was one of those avengers and was officially introduced as the permanent 3rd member on Fox Day (1st April). BABYMETAL are back as a trio!

Mirror Mirror is a new release one of 10 new songs from their new album The Other One. At their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019) has officially become the third member. Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles.

I am really old 😂 and i love being happy and feeling great by watching and hearing BabyMetal I've just been to Wembley Arena in the UK to see them ( 3rd time ). Babymetal will make it to the ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME when it's all said and done. Mark my words....they created a while metal genre and has the tours and albums to back everything they have done for metal music in the last decade....as influential as Nirvana with grunge imo
