Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 We are moved by this song because we are human beings. Not necessary to read the lyrics. I am a Japanese but my nationality and literacy do not have distinct advantages to feel the emotion stirred by Su-Metal and Kamis. We are not just listening to a song but embracing celestial healings. This was filmed in 2017 and Su sang this song in the two last shows of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan this year (April 14 & 15) with more matured voice. I am sure many fans saw it in the online world premiere program. As an eyewitness of both shows at the venue, I can tell you that it was literally heartbreaking and made me forget to breathe.

Welcome back with more BabyMetal songs, and now witha delightful song, many fans and even first time watcher just can't help to be touched in their hearts. One of the most gorgeous ballad from SuMetal solos and BM in general, performed at Legend S Baptism XX (Hiroshima, her birthplace) at 20th SuMetal birthday it was a special concert for many factors and many fans always get sad about it, me too of course, is a bittersweat live concert and one in a lifetime too. She being from Hiroshima and granddaughter of Hiroshima bomb survivor, this must be really special for her. She sang early this year at 10 Babymetal Budokan with our queen "playing" the piano, it really surprised the audience and it was just delightful, i saw it during World Premiere livestream and it's gonna be released on DVD/BD at 29/09 worldwide. She supposed to sing this song during first album but she felt not ready to sing it with all the emotions needed, that's why is featured in 2nd album later on. There's a live version at Legend 1999 (Yui and MoaMetal birthday) in which the girls walkdown the stairs and "plays" the piano while SuMetal sings, it was an special and one time only performance too. SuMetal said that this guitars solos is one of her favorite parts, quote: _“I feel that the guitars in this song sound as if they’re really singing the melody, and I just really enjoy it."_ When 2011 Japan earthquake happened she also said this: _I believe that persistently doing little things bit by bit as they come up will grow into a great power someday. The city i live in Hiroshima has itself been totally destroyed and then restored. Nice one, thanks! Beautiful song and even better live performance. "Legend S - Baptism XX" were very special two in a row concerts in Hiroshima, Su's hometown. This was the first time they performed without Yui and the last time Mikio (Kami Band's lead guitarist who played the solo in this video) performed with BABYMETAL (as he died few days later due the injuries caused by an unfortunate accident while he was stargazing). So all these emotions are added to the already sad lyrics. The song debuted back in 2013 but Su (being just 15 at the time) wasn't happy with her performance because she was more focused on hitting the correct notes rather than expressing the emotions flowing from the lyrics. To the point they didn't include it on their first album in 2014 and only played it three times till this concert date in December 2017. But, as you can see, she finally made this song hers. Well, she actually nailed it! Until next time!

⚡ / ☂️ 🌈 The December 2nd and 3rd 2017 'LEGEND S - BAPTISM XX' concerts were Mikio Fujioka's last appearance with BABYMETAL. They have a close-up on him during this part: "Nidoto ae-nai kedo, wasure-naide itai yo." (We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you forever.) Mikio passed away on January 5th, 2018, before the official video for this song was released. That was about a month after this performance. As far as what Su was thinking, that's hard to know. Yui was supposed to perform at this concert, but was unable to appear because of unspecified health reasons. The introduction just before this song refers to to the bombing of Hiroshima, Su's home prefecture, and the location of these two concerts. DESPAIR 『絶望』 "The bright beam of light That wiped all light from the world Also ceased people's light of hope The skies turned dark And endless rain fell upon the people Who had lost all of their light and hope But endless rain doesn't exist And the people hope of black skies to clear out So the heavens can restore the light that had been lost They hope to discover that there's happiness at the end of sorrow And they pray for light of hope to return to them." (This intro was added for these two concerts. That doesn't mean the song was originally written to be about those events, just that they were drawing a connection for these two special shows in Su's home prefecture of Hiroshima.) The last line of this song is: "An endless rain fills my heart… forever." That's considered to be a reference to the X-Japan song 'Endless Rain'.

It has the same music structure as Legendary band X Japan 🇯🇵 "Endless Rain" but with different arrangement. I will always tear up listening to "Mikio Fujioka" guitar solo because he's such a phenomenal guitar maestro gone to soon. This is special for Su and Moa especially Su because she got to perform in her hometown of Hiroshima. After the guitar solo you able to hear Su voice wavering as she tried to hide her emotion. Su-Metal grandmother is a survivor "hibakusha" of the Hiroshima bombings. You can hear Su-Metal voice wavering after the guitar solo. This concert is also without Yui Mizuno "Yuimetal" who withdrew from Babymetal due to a health hiatus and "Mikio Fujioka" last concert before his untimely death in January 5th of 2018 after suffering injuries from observation deck fall while stargazing. It is 75 years since the US dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 and 9 August, leading to the end of World War Two. Those who survived the bombings are known as "hibakusha". Survivors faced a horrifying aftermath in the cities, including psychological trauma. The bombings brought about an abrupt end to the war in Asia, with Japan surrendering unconditionally to the Allies on 14 August 1945.

Hi, first time viewing your channel. I love this song and your reaction. But if you want to see Su with real feeling then take a look at Akatsuki Unfinished Version. Babymetal have a few versions of Akatsuki, but I don't feel Su was able to connect with the song until this live performance. If you watch this performance and you don't have tears in your eyes at the end, then you my friend, are dead inside!
