Band BIO:
Babymetal is a Japanese metal band. The band consists of Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal" and Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal". The band is produced by Kobametal from the Amuse talent agency. Their vocals are backed by heavy metal instrumentation, performed by a group of session musicians known as the "Kami Band" at performances.
FUN FACTS about band:
-MoaMetal is a fan of Limp Bizkit because of it's dance oriented music like Babymetal. The favourite song is My Generation
-Su-Metal, MoaMetal and YuiMetal are roles. Su-Metal confirmed this several times on Japanese interviews and talked about Su-Metal as third person perspective. But Babymetal stayed in their roles in some interviews with western media
- The Fox sign was a mistake. They saw some photo's of metal legals made the devils horn sign and they thought it was a fox. So it became the sign of Babymetal and the fox god
-Yui-metal fell off the stage at Budokan concert. After a short while she came back on the stage without severe injuries

The song is about the WWII bombing of Hiroshima, Su's hometown. She is a descendant of survivor of the bombing. Su sang this at her 20nd birthday concert, Legend S XX:Baptism in her hometown of Hiroshima. It was also the first time Yui did not perform with BM, which Su took very hard (according to Moa). Su poured her heart out in this song and was one of the few times she actually cried onstage.

I used to get made fun of a lot as a kid for crying, so I developed this weird thing where I hold it in, but when I let go it is even more so with the tears. (Reposted comment) ⚡ / ☂️ 🌈 As has been pointed out, this was Mikio Fujioka's last appearance with BABYMETAL. They have a close-up on him during this part: "Nidoto ae-nai kedo, wasure-naide itai yo." (We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you forever.) Mikio passed away on January 5th, 2018, before this video was released. As far as what Su was thinking, that's hard to know. Yui was supposed to perform at this concert, but was unable to appear because of (still unspecified) health reasons. The introduction just before this song refers to to the bombing of Hiroshima, Su's home prefecture, and the location of these two concerts. DESPAIR 『絶望』 "The bright beam of light That wiped all light from the world Also ceased people's light of hope The skies turned dark And endless rain fell upon the people Who had lost all of their light and hope But endless rain doesn't exist And the people hope of black skies to clear out So the heavens can restore the light that had been lost They hope to discover that there's happiness at the end of sorrow And they pray for light of hope to return to them." (This intro was added for these two concerts. That doesn't mean the song was originally written to be about those events, just that they were drawing a connection for these two special shows in Su's home prefecture of Hiroshima.) The last line of this song is: "An endless rain fills my heart, forever." That's considered to be a reference to the X-Japan song 'Endless Rain'.

It's like a song from a Christmas fairy tale! The snowflakes were swirling! I could hear the wind and imagine a frosty night on New year's eve. The music is great! Sue's voice was soft, lilting. Great song and great reaction. Thank you guys!

There is another solo by Su that kind of gave me the same emotions but it is more on the heavy side - It is actually a cover: Babymetal - Tamashii No Rufuran As far as I know it has only been performed once in 2013 and her stage presence in the recording gives me goosebumps every time I watch it :X

about the guitars .. when you were trying to explain it .. she sang the song .. and they sang it back with their guitars .. the lead guitar harmonies are superb .. This song and Akatsuki have always been my favorite BabyMetal songs .. this is a masterpiece .. this is one of the songs that made them legit. I am a rocker been playin guitar since I was 8 years old and was lead singer in every band I was in .. Babymetal is an astonishing group, the band is so good and the girls even as young teens were and still are 100% professional .. there is a lot of people in the music business that could learn from them. I cried when I first heard this too , it's really a bummer this song isn't included in their live set anymore. Will always be top 2 for me . Check out Akatsuki .. from Budokan show .. hard rockin badass song .. but also a very sad song. There is another version of it called the Unfinished version .. unfinished meaning it is without the band .. just Su sitting on the floor singing her heart out with just the piano .. and she is crying at the end of that one... there isn't a person in the world who wouldn't love that song and feel it .. without even speaking the language.

This will sound really really silly. I had a super strong bond with a dog, and he died; a week later I watched this song with English lyrics and it f*ng destroyed me hard. I was sobbing like never before. I was a mess, haha.

Thx for the reupload guys, Amuse once again being not amused at all since they block again something they already blocked once before. Maybe try to put BabyMetal logo as watermark on video you react to, some reactors survived the blocks

In a similar fashion, the unfinished version of Akatsuki (available on KZfaq) is another tear jerker. It has been performed only once and man that is such an awesome song. Also, our young queen (this clip is from 2013) sounds/feels so vulnerable in this one, you just wanna hug her. The "regular" version of Akatsuki is fully epic though ! Another astonishing performance from Su is "Amore" 😶 Keep on the good work 🦊🤘

Hit you in the feels huh? This is going to make it worse. It's hard to tell with the block over the video, but I think the performance you have reacted to was from Legend S Baptism XX at Hiroshima Green Arena. This concert was scheduled here to celebrate Su's 20th birthday. This show was also a homecoming of sorts for Su as she was born and grew up in Hiroshima. This performance of No Rain No Rainbow was preceded by a video presentation marking the atomic bomb detonation above Hiroshima, being a tribute to those lost in the tragedy and tied in the Acid Rain that fell over the city in it's aftermath. Su lost family in the devastation so there is little wonder her voice almost breaks in some sections of the song. The final verse of this song breaks my heart: Even the despair becomes the light Though an endless rain continues to fall Even the despair becomes the light A sad rain throws a rainbow even now An endless rain fills my heart forever.

Honestly took me until Alan cried to realise I'd watched this already before it got blocked. Maybe try the almost transparent babymetal logo over the top of the video that other reactors seem to use to avoid copyright. As for the reaction, as Su says "don't think, feel". OOPS CAPS LOCK . when you said there must be some kind of chemistry between the guitarists yes 100% Mikkio and Ohmura where student and teacher Mikkio was Takayoshi Ohmura's guitar teacher so yrs of playing together . and on Su's performance this show was at Hiroshima green stadium Su was born and raised in Hiroshima and i maybe wrong as the source of information is not confirmed i think her GREAT GRAND MOTHER SURVIVED THE BOMB .

This was the first or one of the first shows without Yui... The beginning of this concert is beyond epic.. But then they go into the second song IDZ.. To see Moa running the stage at the beginning as Su screams with no Yui (and no one else) is heartbreaking... I think it hit Su hard on this slower song..😰🦊

More sadness It was the first time that Babymetal was missing a member - Yui. She never came back. That was the last time Mikio was on stage with Babymetal - A month later he passed away.

I like your reactions to a lot of your videos. As Alan Cry's through this one and talks of how good the Kami Band is, but I do have one thought, when Alan said SU-METAL wavered in the soft part before she transitioned into the heavier vocals. I couldn't her it and I kept going back to hear it, but still sounded smooth. Anyway SU-METAL promised Koba-Metal she would falter in her live performance. Well even you could see SU-METAL tear up she could finish the song with power and grace, but Alan need tissues, LOL. Just joking, like you guys reactions.

Well I am a big fan of BABYMETAL and may won't to hear SU-META toL falter, I'm an old softy that listen to Metal and Rock in the early 80's my high school days. BABYMETAL makes me proud, the music great to lift weights too.
