That Moa-smirk contains lethal quantities of kawaii, I swear. It's like looking at the sun, you can only tolerate it in short bursts and it still kind of hurts. Hope someone brings Moa chicken today. 🍗

I went to Japan in 2013. Walking around the city at night I noticed groups of girls dancing in front of buildings with large windows. They were all doing choreographed dance moves to loud music from a ghetto blaster or something. It was like they were practicing a dance routine or something. A few years later I saw Babymetal live in Washington State during the summer of 2017, doing the same type of choreographed dance moves. Makes me wonder if these girls did any of that before making it big? Crossing my fingers they come back to the US in 2022 or 2023!

Simply awesome! That's what I call a revolution! And there's something that catch my attention since long time ago: Nakamoto Suzuka's gaze is capable to drill the armor of a combat tank!
No había visto éste video, y no sé por que, pero me hizo llorar...........XD.........veo el crecimiento y la madurez de Moa y Su, todo lo que han logrado.......son tan hermosas , ya son unas mujeres bellas, fuertes y poderosas en el escenario...........

Ok after watching this Babymetal is Alive and Well The Fox God Approves
Kinda feel bad for Yui’s stand-in. No microphone. Seemingly only brought in for 1/3 of the choreography. Either she can’t sing or wasn’t allowed to, and it doesn’t seem like she’s even in the band … just Su and Moa going forward 🤷🏻♂️ hell of a single gig!

What does Su say at 7:02? Is it something about the Fox God? I of course do not understand Japanese so I have no idea. She does the same thing at the end of the performance at Saitama Super Arena (and possibly others).

"i feel once again how happy i am to be able to perform live. thank you everybody for coming today" something like that
Good Compilation. But imagine.. Listening to a song that is guitar and drum driven but only seeing the band for less than 5 seconds. Also all the cheering and chants are added post production, because the government is afraid of germs in Japan and not allow to make vocal noise at concerts.
@funnytoss2 жыл бұрын
Not entirely. The cheering/chants were played live, so it's not "post-production" per se, more like "real time" effects. A pretty good way to get around the restrictions of the time though!
@radioraffa2 жыл бұрын
@@funnytoss I also thought maybe it was audio on a backing track too. Since they use background vocals on a backing track regularly.

@@radioraffa Koba actually explains it in the 2021 Young Guitar interview! KOBAMETAL: This time, the audience wasn’t allowed to cheer out loud, so we used the Fox God’s power to re-edit and recreate the cheers from fans that had visited BABYMETAL’s shows in the past. We had to adjust the timing of the cheering sound effects carefully each time. We hired an engineer to work specifically on these sound effects, and also installed special speakers for this purpose. Even if it’s the same song, the fan’s excitement might vary day-to-day, so I’d try to grasp the audience’s level of passion at every moment, and like a DJ, we’d adjust the sound in real time, like “crank it up a notch here”. So there was a lot of unseen effort and attention to detail which could be easily unnoticed. Interviewer: So you didn’t just sync up an extra audio backtrack, but synchronized the cheers in a way that made it feel more like a live performance! KOBAMETAL: That’s right. For example, they’ll sometimes also play cheering sound effects during sports events, right? I’ve personally experienced games where they use so-called “cheer material” to hype up the audience, but there’s always a slight discrepancy… to be honest, the cheering sound effects tend to feel a bit delayed.That’s why it can be difficult to use these effects effectively. However, in the case of BABYMETAL, we match the click-track used by the dancing, so we don’t deviate from it and are very consistent. As long as it’s in sync with the click-track, we can recreate the performance without any timing discrepancies, which works out very well. That’s why I felt that the cheering sound effects felt quite natural, with minimal sense of discomfort or oddity. Watching the video, you might really believe it was the audience in the venue cheering (laughs), but in fact, they weren’t allowed to shout at all. Also, we edited together sound files from various venues throughout the past 10 years of shows, such as from the Budokan in 2014, Tokyo Dome in 2016, Wembley Arena in 2016, and most recently, Makuhari Messe in 2020… for example, for “Ijime, Dame, Zettai”, we used cheers from past performances of “Ijime, Dame, Zettai”. These cheers weren’t from completely unrelated places - they were from the actual past performances of these songs. (if you haven't read the full interview yet, I recommend checking it out!)

@@funnytoss Yes.. He just made it sound more complex then what it really was lol.. They added sound.. No biggie.. I understand what they did. Mostly each show is the same choreography over the years with Su occasionally speaking in between breaks. He never does explain why he decided hides the Kami band (in the back, dark, mask, no video time.) I mean I know why. But he never says it.
@funnytoss2 жыл бұрын
@@radioraffa Well yeah, at the end of the day, they played additional sounds on top of the performance, haha. Just figured people might find the technical process interesting. I doubt they'd ever come out and say "yeah, we didn't want people to go WTF why is the Kami Band white people now so we put masks on them".

4:32 anyone got a translation? Or was it a 'thank you for coming, hope you enjoyed the show' type of message?
@@ichisugi8315 Thanks! Ran it through Google Translate to give this (for the English speakers): "I feel once again that I'm really happy to be able to perform live. Thank you everyone for coming today."
From what I remember she said something like: "I feel once again how happy I am to be able to perform live. Everyone, thank you for coming to see us today!"
