Babymetal (Japanese: ベビーメタル, Hepburn: Bebīmetaru) is a Japanese kawaii metal band consisting of Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal", Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal" and Momoko Okazaki as "Momometal". The band is produced by Kobametal from the Amuse talent agency. Their vocals are backed by heavy metal instrumentation, performed by a group of session musicians known as the "Kami Band" at performances. Babymetal is credited for creating the kawaii metal ("cute metal" in English) genre, which combines elements from J-pop and heavy metal. This genre has introduced metal to new audiences, and many new kawaii metal bands have formed since Babymetal's debut.
Robert John Arthur Halford is an English singer and songwriter. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Judas Priest, which was formed in 1969 and has received accolades such as the 2010 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. He has been noted for his powerful and wide ranging operatic vocal style and trademark leather-and-studs image, both of which have become iconic in heavy metal. Halford is often regarded as one of the greatest metal frontmen and singers of all time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Judas Priest in 2022, via the Award for Musical Excellence.
"Painkiller" is a song by English heavy metal band Judas Priest, released in 1990; it was later released as a single on Columbia Records. It is off the band's twelfth album of the same name as the opening track. The lyrics tell the story of the Painkiller, the character featured on the cover of the album, who is a cyborg superhero who saves mankind from destruction. Since its release, "Painkiller" has become one of Judas Priest's most popular songs. Written by Rob Halford, K. K. Downing and Glenn Tipton.
Breaking the Law is a song by English heavy metal band Judas Priest, originally released on their 1980 album British Steel. The song is one of the band's better known singles, and is readily recognised by its opening guitar riff.

Great first reaction, welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊I will try to clarify and maybe expand a little on the information you found about them. This was about the occasion and it is one the BABYMETAL girls still remember enjoying as well as Rob Halford's encouraging words in the interview afterwards to "Stay Metal!" - a message they took to heart.🤘 This was in 2016 so it was the original 3 BABYMETAL girls - Su-metal (lead vocalist), Moametal and the original third member Yui Mizuno aka Yuimetal. Yui last appeared in October 2017. She missed Su-metal's 20th birthday concerts in December 2017 and the 2018 tour because of poor health. She announced in October 2018 that she was still not fully recovered and had decided she would leave the band. Su and Moa continued as a duo (supported in live shows by any one of 3 dancers taking the 3rd spot on a rotation basis) for the next 4-5 years. On 1st April 2023 they finally revealed their new official third member Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) - she was the last remaining one of the 3 dancers who had been supporting them since 2019. BABYMETAL formed in 2010 creating their own new metal sub-genre, as you read. They started as a fusion of Metal with J-Pop hooks, melodies and aesthetics including choreographed dance - but not as you know it. Their choreo is not used to titillate or distract like it is by most pop acts etc, it is interpretive, relating to the meaning of the song or a lyric - very handy for us non-Japanese speakers - but most importantly it is used to engage with, include and involve the audience. They are masters of crowd control and can get whole arenas (not just the front rows) jumping, chanting and joining in, following their lead. As an old school rock and metalhead I had no interest in choreographed dance (and I still don't with any other artists), but BABYMETAL's choreo just enhances and improves everything ... I have no idea how, it just does. They did not stick at J-Pop and they have gone on to mix and blend so many more musical styles and genres with the metal. They have about 70 songs now, each one different to the last. Some are good hard metal (and they have songs in virtually every metal genre), some may lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between. Fair enough if you don't like pop (neither do I when it is done by pretty much anybody else) there may be a song here and there that doesn't appeal to you - try another and the chances are you will love that one. What is guaranteed is the quality of the live performance, the vocals, the Kami Band's instrumentals and their versatility. BABYMETAL started with little or no budget wearing borrowed clothes, singing and dancing to pre-recorded instrumentals in shopping malls, a stage by the food court normally reserved for stand up comedians at one festival and small shows in tiny venues. They started to gain an audience nobody had expected would exist for such a weird fusion of styles and as they started to get noticed to to gain popularity they got a bit more budget for costumes and eventually a live band. The Kami Band first appeared in October 2012 and they were phased in gradually over the next 18 months or so playing at a couple of festivals and playing the encores in some shows. In Feb 2014 BABYMETAL released their first album and at shows at The Budokan in Tokyo on 1st and 2nd March the Kami Band finally became their full time support for all live shows. They were the very best session musicians to be found in Japan. As session musicians they have their own bands and projects etc so would swap in and out depending on their availability, but the same hard core of about 6 musicians played the vast majority of live shows from 2014 through to January 2023. At the APMAs you saw Mikio Fujioka (RIP Jan 2018) and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, BOH with his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. In 2019 as BABYMETAL's tours got longer the Kami Band of the West (4 American musicians) were introduced to support BABYMETAL on the lengthy foreign tours. These musicians (the bassist has swapped out for now) have been ever present since 1st April 2023 (that was nearly 100 concerts in 25 countries in 2023 and I don't know how many concerts and festivals this year). You could go back to see them evolve and grow up (they were aged 12 and 11 when they started in 2010), but to give you an idea of what they have become before you do that try 'Mirror Mirror' live at the PIA Arena in Yokohama, Japan from April 2023. I believe you will find that posted by For The Fox God.

Good one, thanks and welcome to BABYMETAL. Since Grington300 has already provided his usual "wall of text" 😁 I just wanted to remark that they don't hesitate on blending any music genre with metal, they are highly unpredictable and probably not as "pop" as you may think, haha... Here is a relatively recent song and live performance: "Mirror Mirror" (Live at PIA Arena 2023): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eth-maectcWmpZ8.html This is what they do. 🤘🦊

Welcome to the Foxhole (or just another way to say BabyMetal's journey)🦊🤘🔥 I can see you're super excited watching this thrilling collab performance lol Please next time turn on auto subtitles so we can understand what you said a little bit more clear. Super rare first time reaction to get into BM world, trust me when i said you've seen nothing yet and you're about to get into a wild journey with this group like no other if you're willing to be open minded of course. Also cool you went looking for some info but here's some brief info about them and little more details: BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26. *MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 25, yesterday was her birthday. -YuiMetal- scream and dance, former member since 2018, she's performing here. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year, so she's not here yet. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but remember that status changed last year. About this performance: This was an epic clash of Metal God and the Fox God 🦊🤘🔥 Throughout the years and even till these days, such recently at the Europe Tour, BM has been making a lot of friends and getting support from rock and metal legends as well many more artists from the music scene, Rob Halford was just one of them but you can find names such Corey Taylor from Slipknot, Korn, Marty Friedman from Megadeth, Metallica, Rob Zombie, Guns N Roses, RHCP, among many others supporting this amazing group from Japan, trust me when i said there was a before and after when they show up on the metal scene and even opened the gates for many more Jmetal and Jrock bands to the world, BM is a global phenomenon for a reason. There's an interview you can find after this with both of them, really fun. Rob Halford said he was so excited about this that even bought a cloth to match up with the colors of the girls. lol And he's waiting for another chance to collaborate together on a new song, but the girls are also looking for a collab along with Slipknot, they share the same stage at Sick New World in Las Vegas last weekend, but like always Only The Fox God Knows. Meanwhile they did collab with many more artists such Tom Morello from RATM in the song METALI!! and more recently along with Electric Callboy, another super fun Deutsch band. Is all about fun and having a good time with a metal legend and the future of the metal sound. Our girls we'll never forget Rob's kind words and support when saying: _"Stay metal."_ 🤘 One of the girls, MoaMetal can actually play the guitar and she took some lessons way before this, YuiMetal is just mimicking. In an interview MoaMetal got this question and she pretty much said she did played the guitar. I'm gonna try to leave in my next comment where to get more proshot clips safe to react if YT allows me to do it. Meanwhile next suggestion: - *Road Of Resistance* live in Japan official MV (2015). Thanks for sharing this iconic and fun moment on BM career and see you next time.🦊🤘🔥

In case you wondered, Moa and Yui Metal guitars were way down in the mix but none the less they were all having fun. Something that some metal fans can not handle. It was a very strange venue for this collaboration to take place. I don't know know who or when it was arranged and you can tell by the audience, many were not sure at all that was going on. Momo Metal is fairly new to the band. Who you see here is Yui Metal. The guitars Moa and Yui played were available to buy. I do not know if they are still being made. Not sure if you have heard of Lovebites? If not, please don't check them out first. Have a look at this live video of them playing Break The Wall: LOVEBITES - Break The Wall - Live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 I can't leave you the direct link otherwise KZfaq, will remove my comment on the belief it is spam.
