This was a song that the company left off the international version of the second album. They did release it on the new live double album Legend on the BabyMetal channel.

This song reminds me, an aged Japanese, of good old songs to which I listened many years ago at home sitting in front of a TV set which is not LCD type screen but Braun tube. BABYMETAL, however, gave a new power to this type of song. It does not sound obsolete anymore, at all. That is the magic they have. Good one - this compilation had footage from Tokyo Dome (2016) and the Big Fox Festival (2017) and maybe one or two other shows that I didn't spot. 'Syncopation' was a Japan exclusive track on the second album. On the international release we got 'From Dusk Till Dawn' instead. 'Syncopation' has only been played live outside of Japan once so far - that was last year at Brixton, London and I was there to witness it - great song ... and I'm not sure if you thought the guitar breaks were all electronics or if the couple of synth notes distracted you so you missed the guitars?

So, good call on the 80s feel, and don't worry, most fans want to learn their moves lol! Syncopation is all about the swirling feelings brought on by first love. How they can make you feel like you're flying, but can also be the most confusing feelings ever. The parts were Yui and Moa/Moa say "suki, kirai, suki, kirai, suki" meaning "like, dislike, like ,dislike, like", have been siad to be a reference to the flower divination game played by (mostly) young girls in love (you know...the he likes me, he likes me not thing). Super cute! I can't remember the full details of the interview but Koba-metal said that this song was made with the Japanese esthetic or Visual Kei in mind. Your background reminds me of the latest BABYMETAL album, "Metal Galaxy". :-) I love everything about this song! The tempo and groove just pull you along, and I particular love the guitar solos, although they are much too short. But technically they are insane. I wonder where the audio of this compilation was taken from. I thought the guitars sounded unusually dry.

Ah yes, Syncopation, of of my favorites! "Yurete yurete sora e" "Fly!" Chills, every freaking time i hear this song hahaha And i was also surprised by that breakdown the first time i heard this song. As usual with Baby metal, everything is tight knit. I agree with the '80's feel to it. I was thinking about Scorpians and early Def Leopard with the guiters. The girls didn't look super sweet and innocent in those clothes, but more like Band Maid instead. However, the long flowing pure white robes in the background were stunning.

Is that the Metal Galaxy behind you? ...only the Fox God knows.

Please don't rely solely on videos that are on KZfaq (mainly compilations); they're not meant to be used for reactions as the mix of concerts and generally bad editing can make it confusing for those new to BABYMETAL. Also, you won't get the full BABYMETAL experience with these. Some people think they are safer for reactions, but they're not. Weird, i think the breakdown is really heavy. That is way more my style with the chunky guitars. I don't think of guitar solos as being heavy. Those were considered played out in the late 80s and 90s. Every hair metal and glam rock band had guitar solos. Bands where half their songs were radio friendly ballads did a ton of guitar solos. That doesn't seem heavy to me at all. What i consider heavy is power chords and chugging bass. There are some good Sakura Gakuin videos with spanish subs. (Babymetal was a subgroup of Sakura Gakuin there are tons of SG videos with the Babymetal girls in them)

Even Metallica knows some of the BabyMetal dances, I guess backstage at those big festivals Metallica dances Gimme Chocolate with the girls. As for the vocals, they are 14 year old Japanese girls so that is what you are going to get.
