_Pippo pappo pippo pappo piii_ Finally you're back with this beloved BM song. Your guess was right, this is from 2nd album Metal Resistance and it wasn't promoted like Karate or Road Of Resistance, but is super fun with unique elements like the ska rhythm which seems you don't know, i love it and that's why this song ranks high for me. Tales Of Destinies is from 2nd album too along with "The One" both songs are tied together and are the final songs from the album. Btw if you see YuiMetal on the stage then most likely the song is either from 1st and 2nd album (or a cover) since she didn't performed any 3rd album songs from Metal Galaxy. The first guitar sólo was made by Mikio Fujioka, and we all love that very jazzy style. (R.I.P.)🙌 I'm not sure if you already know this but BOH the bassist is a big fan of Billy Sheehan. YAVA! (actually Yabai! like you heard in the backing chorus) means like "oh no!" or when describing something dangerous or surprising. They're fusing ska genre and metal in a way no one did before, the charming of our girls is unmatchable. The Kami Band intro in this one is super fun, Mikio Fujioka-sama doing some magic here. (R.I.P.) This was live compilation with some footage of Five Fox Festival 2017 (White Fox) and mixed with Big Fox Festival 2017, that was the last live performance for YuiMetal and you already know the rest, sad moment everytime I remember this. The Kami Band really doing a different intro unlike the rest but still being impressive and fits totally with the song and the ska rhythm. "Chigau" in the lyrics is the temporary title fans gave to this song when live premiere without knowing the song, the word means "different" and totally fits with the meaning of the song, this could be a song talking about them, you know the surprise factor of being different. I'm gonna kindly suggest don't make assumptions about 1st album and songwriting process if you don't know who are the people behind every song and especially if you didn't heard the full album, i know that you may think they got similar patterns between some songs you already know but trust me, all songs are different too, the freshness and the really good songs on that album are probably the reason that shocked and liked more among fans and casuals. Didn't watch your BxMxC reaction (that one is from 3rd album) but as you can see they don't have afraid to try something new, "comfort zone" words don't exist in their dictionary. I will take this as a SuMetal present for her upcoming birthday next December 20, so much appreciated. Kitsune up and see you next time.🦊🤘🔥

When I looked at this choreography carefully again, I felt that the girls had improved their technique one step further and looked terrific. By the way, there is a sister dance unit of BABYMETAL called Perfume, a three-member group under the direction of MIKIKIKO. The concept of the song "Yava!" overlaps with Perfume's song "だんだん 好きになる 気になる 好きになる! I feel that BABYMETAL's unique power as a work of art is also due in large part to MIKIKO's creation.

Great reaction and analysis again - and as has been said already, the genre you were struggling to name was ska, a forerunner to reggae I believe. You said about Billy Sheehan. He is a big hero to BOH, definitely one of his own idols and influences on the way he plays bass. A couple of people have made this observation already - BABYMETAL don't necessarily have just one signature sound, they have always refused to be limited or to stay put in just one pond and it is what makes them stand out and special ... that is really what their fans appreciate most about them, they don't make songs that sound the same, they don't stick to just one style. Not only will they stray into the next pond, they will dig a canal to find their way to another pond miles away from where they started and more canals to more ponds even further away and in directions we could have never anticipated. 'Tales of the Destinies' (also on the second album) was still entirely recognisable as BABYMETAL, but they were swimming in the prog-metal pond. 'BxMxC' was again entirely recognisable as them, but they'd just decided to take a diversion for a dip in another pond a way away. They have been doing this ever since the first album (and long before that album was even thought of). You are in for a real shock when you hear 'IINE' (I can't wait for your reaction on that one), the second song they released as a single ... in that one song they jump from one pond to another, into another and then back to the first pond while still wiggling their toes in one of the other ponds. What all their songs have in common - Su-metal's beautiful, clear vocals, Yui's and Moa's energy, excellent writing and composition, great instrumentation - and in live shows the Kami Band expanding on that. What they don't do is limit themselves or accept that any boundaries can't be crossed. Looking forward to whatever BABYMETAL song comes up next for your review - it will be different again whatever it is.

Interesting, and it speaks volumes about your musical preferences that you can't immediately pin down a ska rhythm when you hear it. If you'd ever listened to Jamaican music on a regular basis, or even to NYHC legends The Bad Brains, you'd gone, Yep, that's a ska offbeat strum pattern right there. The Mr Bungle reference is correct, though, as they, too, employed ska riffs (and mangled them with circus music and whatever else) in the songs you mentioned.

You are right and wrong: The song is from the second album, but Tales Of The Destinies is from the second album as well. I see where you are coming from when you say that the third album strays further from the Metal roots. It’s not wrong. But I think that you haven’t quite realized that that IS BABYMETAL. Right from the beginning the fusion of genres is what they did. Sometimes in a more subtle way, sometimes more in-your-face. In part that’s probably due to the fact that some of the more playful songs haven’t even been recommended to you. I love this song! And I believe that they incorporated the Ska sound masterfully. The way the first half of the verse is full Ska, the second half is more Metal, but still with the accents on the off-beat, and the chorus goes to the „regular“ up-beat (is that the correct word?), is done very professionally and feels completely natural. I love the choreography as well, especially Yui‘s „yabai“ (shock) face. The word „YAVA“ is a colloquialised (?) version of the word „yabai“, which is an expression of surprise or shock. As far as I know, the meaning was originally purely negative, but in modern language it is also used in a positive sense as well (like witnessing a car accident opposed to getting a great present). Japanese viewers may correct me, but I think the word has been internationalized here, as there is no „v“ sound in Japanese. Finally someone explained to me why the second half of the second guitar solo feels so strange to me. It‘s just as you said, I always felt „hm, these sound like wrong notes“, but in the end it somehow worked. I am (somewhat of) a guitarist myself, but I know very little about music theory.

This song is the 4th track of the 2nd album. As you said, BMC is in the 3rd Album but Tales of destinies is in the 2nd. And many people said that this song is a mixture of Metal and Ska. 4 songs of the 2nd album are left, and we will see one of them, "Sis. Anger" in January. The songs of the 3rd album you have reviewed are "Distortion", "In The Name of", "BxMxC", and we will see three songs more this month! I can't wait! + one more thing, "Yava" is a kind of abbreviation of "yavai", which can mean "dangerous", "embarrassing", or "awesome". The original Japanese song title is "Yavat" the form usually used by teenage girls. If you want to put in an accent, you can do a "v" sound.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Your independent evaluation 8.4 as a connoisseur seems reasonable. BABYMETAL fans, however, tend to evaluate any song as a piece of majestic show or a node of some stories. The word "diversified" you mentioned is the correct word to explain this song. "Yava" is apparently based on Jamaican "Ska" music genre. If you had been at 2020 Day-1 show on Jan. 25, 2010, you would have been shocked by the too much diversified 12 song setlist including two Latin flavored songs. One was Yava and the other was Night Night Burn. (That was happy sock though 😄) BABMETAL is a kind of opera. A group of songwriter and composer creates anything they want independently disregarding what other groups do. Performers of prima donnas (Su and Moa) with the help of creative choreographer Mikiko and Kami Band add their artistry with their own auras to whatever presented in front of them in the kitchen and integrate those dishes to a certain full-course dinner. The audience just should enjoy any "plats du jour" served on the table (stage or concert video) cooked with seasoning called "happiness" and spice called "surprise". That is truly addictive habit of eating. ヽ(^o^)丿

Oh good! I'm glad this one was brought forward. Thanks to Andy for prioritizing it! One of my favourite Babymetal songs, and also one of my favourite Kamiband intros. I was wondering when this would come up. I knew you'd enjoy it. Your impression of their sound being more consistent early on is because of which songs have been recommend to you. The first album has two tracks that are WAY more synth-heavy than BxMxC, practically EDM tracks in places. They've not been recommended to you because of that. Part of their signature sound *is* popping a few out to left field. This fanbase likes to be blindsided a bit.

YAVA (or YABA, or YABAI) is an adjective that means (depending on the age of the speaker) either very good or very bad. It used to mean very dangerous or very bad but has changed its context and meaning to a younger generation in the same way my granny means "The cat is ill" when she says "the cat is sick" and my son means "This song is excellent" when he tells me "This song is sick". As for the meaning of the lyrics, which mostly discusses "differences", they could probably be a good subject for a thesis for any Japanese Language Phd! Apart from the fact that the lyrics - both written and sung - are different on the English CD, the Japanese CD and the limited edition vinyl of the 2nd album, they change gender from male to female to neutral. There's an amazing guy called Hideto D. Harashima, aka DuaneMetal, who has a yt channel of 89 'Learn Japanese with Babymetal' videos. Road of Resistance, for example, like most of the lessons, gets the usual 15 minute video but YABA (as he calls it) gets 4 separate videos! Great song though! Great score too!

Nice!! A BM reaction that didn't get blocked, finally!! Yava leans heavily on Ska. Had they hired metal players (as in trumpets and such) it would've been full Ska. I was guessing an 8.2. Happy that you (and the song) surpassed it. Now that you've heard it, maybe try the studio version. I mean, not on the channel, but just to yourself. This particular video was too heavy on the bass side, wich somewhat smothered all the rest, at least in my uneducated opinion. Will Mrs. Heretic ever react to Babymetal? 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻

"YAVA" is definitely different, it literally says so in the lyrics many times. The song feels different too because of the ska beat which you don't expect in a metal context. I put YAVA (translated as something like OMG) together with Awadama Fever as I think they are both about difference and not necessarily being confined by other people's expectations. The YAVA lyrics mention "different" over 20 times and the word "chigau" is translated here as "they are different" (ref Du-metal). Is it about Babymetal and their music being different, Moa and Yui being different even though people seem to think they are twins or just about clothes?...who knows? What it is, is some up tempo metal/ska with a poppy hook, some great choreography, a Kami Band intro that takes it to the next level, maybe BM's heaviest breakdown and an increasingly insistent and manic ending...ie classic BM and definitely in my top 10 BM songs.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤔 'YAVA!' is definitely one of my favorite tracks from the Metal Resistance album. With some of my favorite BABYMETAL choreography. And they made make sludgy ska metal sound good on their first attempt. I would have done a whole album like that, but they moved on to the next thing. : ) Even with the translation it's hard to know exactly what this song is about. As Du-Metal says on his translation page, "The meaning of the lyrics is vague, obscure & ambiguous." Something about making choices when things seem similar. Or insisting that differences, even small ones, are important and make things vital and interesting. This song was written by some of the same folks involved with 'Megitsune', etc.

YAVA BY BABYMETAL:- I love this song because I love the SKA genre. YAVA fuses SKA and Metal. Very underrated song cos, not many reactors react to this because of copyright issue. Some in the Metal community didn't even knew that the SKA genre existed unless you listen to Sublime, Pepper, No Doubt and other bands that play the SKA genre. The Kami Band is brilliant and brutal. Yuimetal aka Yui Mizuno last performance was at "Big Fox Festival in Japan at Osaka-Jo hall" on 15th Oct. 2017. Enjoy your reaction. Thanks for reacting to this. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult. YAVA! YAVA! is a song from BABYMETAL's second original album, METAL RESISTANCE. Information:- •Artist: BABYMETAL •Album: BABYMETAL •Lyrics: NAKAMETAL, Mk-metal, Kxbxmetal •Composition: Norimetal •Arrangement: Yuppemetal This tune was performed for the first time on 2015 Jun. 21st at Makuhari Messe, Chiba. Since then, it was tentatively called "Chigau". The Japanese title is "ヤバッ!" (= yaba!) and this word is sometimes jokingly written as "ヤヴァッ!" (= yava!). The meaning of the lyrics is vague, obscure & ambiguous. This is the same old way of Japanese popular songs. If the singers are attractive enough, the fans can freely enjoy whatever fantasies they like with such vague lyrics. I don't think there is the true story and the lyric writer has hidden it, so I hope the listeners think freely what differs how from what. This is some of my favourite SKA BAND:- 1. Reel Big Fish - Sell Out (1996) 2. Mighty Mighty Bosstone - The Impression That I Get (1997) 3. Suicide Machines - Skankin' Pickle - Song #3 (1997) 4. Rancid - Time Bomb (1995) 9. Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra from Japan - Skaravan. This are from the 90s mainly because I was born in the 70s. Yes, this is from the second album. The third album was written when Yui was already gone from the band, and they were trying to find their way and how to go on without her. Some of it worked, but most of the third album fell flat, at least for me.

I tend to agree with this, but I also think they were deliberately trying to be experimental to shake things up. A lot of MG didn't really land, but it did give us the Trilogy of Lights, which is so good that it redeems the entire album.

Look, not trying to be a boring BM fan but I think you guys downplay a lot Metal Galaxy kind of unfair I would say because it's the most underrated album BM did I understand and respect David's critic I really do, despite I disagree about BxMxC being so far away. BM never changed their core through the years and Metal Galaxy shows something that some people can't see wich is music itself they are making true music and not just a product to sell they could make a lot of complex stuff, and change their whole core also Yui has nothing to do with it BM was always experimental literally their first album BABYMETAL. BM has stayed true to themselves as a band until this day wich is hard to accomplish and Metal Galaxy is the right album to showcase it, because the simplicity nowadays bands just lose themselves to complex structures and indeed as David said going to far away however BM is already something far away what they did is unique so I don't see why you would fear they lost their essence when that's their essence? BM never lost it's simplicity on simply making music lovely music, meanwhile I understand his concerns BM is not that case they never really changed in 10 years, different musics but never different feel, feel I mean the core of the band. Now I fear David could misunderstand BM because the effect of differentiation but I would still love him as my fav BM reactor if so I would never condemn him or jump into him if so, now I don't really understand the "fell flat" because something is simple, I can't really understand how Pa Pa Ya, Oh Majinai! etc is not BM or whatever. I don't really want to think that of you but for me you sound like the typical Yui Metal fan who thinks they lost their way and the band was only about Yui wich for me is just outrageous to have this mentality because BM is much more than just Yui, Moa or even Su, everyone behind BM put their heart and honesty into it unless you prove me wrong and your critic is just about the songs and not the Yui Bot effect.

Good reaction, thanks! For some reason the ska mixed with metal here really works for me. As some already said, BABYMETAL like to take risks to get a WTF reaction even from their old time fans and "BxMxC" is a good example of that. But it's what they do and thay have been doing this since the very first time they came out on stage. Because.... it's obvious bur... they are not a "normal" metal band. Never have been and they will never be. Ironically, the song is about being, acting and most important, being perceived as "different" (in a "weird" way). And they sure are, but in an unique way. Until next time!

Everytime I hear and see Mikio play his Solos I get a bit teary... Simply mesmerizing. I didn't really like Yava! at first, but like BxMxC and other songs, they grew on me, now I love every single song 😄 Especially considering all the passion, creativity and work they put into their music and performance, I don't know how anyone cannot appreciate and like Babymetal 🙂

I was about to say, how can you have listened to this many songs but still have no clue what Babymetal is all about? But what others have pointed out is true. You have been steered towards the 'safe' songs. I love that they go off into left field like that. I get so frustrated when I hear a new band that I think had great potential only to find every song is exactly the same. Babymetal has the guts to challenge themselves instead of staying in their "comfort zone". Not every experiment is going to work for every listener but, with Babymetal, you have to learn to go with the flow and not demand they go the direction you want.

I just now wrote a long rambling piece of mine, thrilled by your first reaction to my favorite, Ningen Isu!!, ha. So I would like a little break, but.. But I knew the word 'ska' because I love Japanese Latin fusion. Good for me, haha. I'm not a music expert, but maybe they used the minor notes in their solos because this song incorporated Latin rhythms, ska, I guess. The minor notes / chords should be commonly used in Latin songs. However, I think some kind that Mikio's solo (first solo) had often that kind of tone in the other songs, too... I'm tired tonight, ha. So that is all I have. This song still seems to be difficult to interpret. Of course for me too. But is that why it is not so popular overseas? I don't mean to be sarcastic, but we still seem to have to see the lyrics and even the choreography to understand the song as a whole. However, that's okay. I respect your honest and sincere reaction. Thank you so much for featuring my favorite song. From Japan.

It's hard for me to pick favorites, but I think Yava! is one of them. It's so catchy and energetic, and the good message behind it is delivered in a fun way. The lyrics are there, but you have to enable them on KZfaq (Cog icon -> Subtitles). I see you're using a different media player, but is that a subtitle icon I spot in the bottom left? If the file is downloaded from KZfaq then you need to download the lyrics alongside the video. I find it interesting that you have been able to define the BABYMETAL sound, though I don't think most fans or the group itself would agree. What makes BABYMETAL unique is that they don't have a signature sound, but you still know what to expect because they are defined by other factors: metal genre, catchy, Su's voice, high quality, a bit different/genre-mixing, great live performances, choreography, high energy. BABYMETAL is so much more than a sound and by no means a traditional band. That's what makes them unique and why many of us enjoy them so much. Now, if they would start compromising on those factors I mentioned, then I think people would feel "this is not the BABYMETAL I know", but so far they have stayed true to themselves over the past 12 years. You're clearly a talented musician so I understand that you focus quite heavily on the instrumentals and sound. I think I've watched all your BABYMETAL reactions and appreciate that you take the time to explain your reasoning when reviewing songs.

Many thanks to Andy for his request. Right from the off the crowd interaction is just amazing. All of the audience clap along as soon a Moa, Su and Yui appear. The crowd chants in unison at various points and totally engages in the song and performance. Surprised you didn't mention this? Yava is such a crowd pleaser from BabyMetal. As many others have commented, BabyMetal songs don't just stick to a regimented 'style and sound'. Going on your review of Yava, I believe you will be greatly disappointed with other songs from Metal Galaxy as they transcend continents! 😀 A good score but disappointing that you didn't enjoy the performance to a greater extent, than you appeared to do. That doesn't mean I expect you to jump about and wave your hands and arms in the air like a lunatic. 🤣

Hi David, I must say that I don't share your thoughts about BabyMetal coming out of their "characteristic" sound, since there is something that distinguishes the band, it is their musical versatility... That being said, if you're going to "experiment" with new sounds, you have to do it right, and BabyMetal does it outstandingly... Maybe a lot of bands stick to their sound, always playing the same chords, which in itself is comfortable for them and their listeners, and that's fine, but I think you have to stand out when a band leaves from that framework, and manages to play new melodies and styles at a high level, like BabyMetal does... 🖤🖤🖤

Nice reaction. Thanks Andy. One of my favorite Babymetal songs. An 8 for any song is a good score. Many already gave the Ska music influence of this song. The lyrics are a lot of fun. With a few interpretations of what the song is actually about. The song lyrics goes into thinking about choice. And making difficult choices. How sometimes no matter what choice you make someone is going to tell you it's wrong. Yava! (OH NO). They also go into how things can seem the same but if you look closer, they're actually different. Some have theorized that this is a reference to Yui and Moa. When they first album came out and they went international. Many had a hard time telling the difference between them. The twin tails and dressed a like with similar looks overall didn't help. But if you do look closer. Yui and Moa actually become easier to tell the difference between them. Yui with her chubby cheeks and demure shyness along with her very deliberate dance movements. And then you have Moa with her dimples and having way too much fun on stage. Since Yui left officially in 2018 this became a whole lot easier. But I have to admit I still have trouble with the avenger dancers Riho and Kano sometimes. Momoko has more distinctive look. I hope she never changes that because being easy to pick out is a good thing sometimes. She did most of the tour for the 3rd album. I hope she returns when they start touring again. Many of the kamiband members at this time also have a jazz backround. One of their many side projects is the Kariband. A metal jazz fusion which for me is very cool. Because you get the best of both worlds. Some cool heavy riffs and the jazz style solos and melodies. Which the solo at the start of this could have been taken from one of their albums. Put it all together and you can understand why these guys were chosen to be the Kamiband. They already were doing a mix of music. Babymetal everything you want in music and somethings you didn't know you needed.

Can't take the ending tirade about "bmc" and "tales..." seriously, when he didn't even check that Tales was from the 2nd, and the first album had both Iine and Uki Uki which (in his words) strayed away from their sound. I know what he means, but imo he doesn't know enough about Babymetal to confidently state such things. Experimentation and "stretching into the other pond" is part of their dna.

David Ive seen your reactions and I have no doubt that you are a true musical genius. When you call keys and hear 3 cents flat on the vocals I am truly amazed. But I think there is something you consistently miss about babymetal. I would be proud if I am genuinely pointing this out to you. Think of all the times you have thought WTF am I listening to? The intros to headbanger and gimee etc. The song writer is creating an almost unbearable amount of tension which gets relieved by the super hooky melody. I have never seen anyone do it like that before. The amount of tension that Moa and Yui create with the bizarre chants that registers as confusion on everyones face is what gives the fans the genuine love. I believe that without that insane tension at the beginnings of songs you wouldnt have the cult like fanbase. But this goes for songs like bmc too. The song is out of their branding except it isnt. Their brand is to create abnormal amounts of tension intheir audience over and over again, then the insanely talnted band makes you forget it. (I put SU and MOA in the same category as Kami band) Think of it like good cop bad cop. Its unique to baby metal. Ive never seen anything like it but think abput the first baby metal song you ever heard, you will never forget it. I dont know what black crows song I heard first. Baby Metal I will never forrget. thats why it has 200 million views people need to resolve the tension, they need to reconcile themselves with something they really like. Anyway I love listening to your reactions I always learn something. Peace

As always really appreciate your reaction and opinion 😊 I’mnot going to repeat too much of what was said by the others but yeah - Babymetal is all about keeping you on your toes; that’s not to say that they don’t have a base sound, but they are about not letting you stay comfortably there. Personally this is one of the things I really love about them even though I don’t love all their songs - but Tales of the Destiny and BMC are absolutely in my top 5 Babymetal songs any day although their placement within the top may vary. I have huge respect for the talent and courage it takes to tackle greatly different styles and do it successfully and I believe these songs still retain enough of Babymetal’s identity that they are cohesive in their catalogue - but that’s the me, of course, and I can understand why others would feel differently about it 😉

Hi David, this is one of my fav. Babymetal songs for a lot of reasons. I give this a 9.7. Yes, very much that high. Here are the reasons. First, the song has one of the most iconic dances within any of their songs. Second, the energy within this song is out if this world. Third, the song is a different take on Babymetal doing music with the sounds. Fourth ,he song is one of the hardest to understand. This is what the song means by memory. Sumetal is having trouble seeing what is the correct answer or how what is right or wrong. Yuimetal and Moametal are saying the thing being talked about is the same while Sumetal is wondering it is the same? The song creates a stressful anxiety like state to see how Sumetal is confused, lost, and being preasured to think in the same way. In the end Sumetal decides it is all different and is alright that we can all think differently and that we shouldn't have to be preasured into thinking the same always. The dances very much express this and the feel of the song also by looking left and right, tume being involved, and the stressful times. The Kami band intro is amazing as always but with a different feel for this song that I deffently like. Here is more info to answer questions within the video. Babymetal first album is very more Kawaii, more experimental on how to use metal with the Kawaii Metal, and how it uses more complex Japanese cultural references. Album 2 Metal Resistance expands on that with a more older feel of themes than their younger selves within Album 1. The songs Kawaii Metal theme is more balanced to than Album 1. The songs however are more easier to understand for the world with less Japanese cultural references. Album 3 Metal Galaxy is about what the future of Metal is? How other countries would perceive the metal genre? The intro song to album 3 is called Future Metal with only these lyrics in order in English only. "We are on the Odyssey to the Metal Galaxy." "Please fasten your neck brace to our band." "Are you still playing the guitar? This ain't heavy metal." "Welcome to the world of Babymetal." This means that all the other cultures would even be playing a heavy guitar? Is this even metal or heavy metal anymore? Where are we within the future of the genre Metal? Many people thought that this difference on not continuing with the Japanese Kawaii Metal feel was a bad idea and others loved this idea. This happened also around Yuimetal left the band and created rift within the community. The songs within Album 3 are more adult themes similar to Album 2 but taking it another level. The dances are feeling more adultish to understand the songs themes more. There are less Kawaii Metal or super heavy Metal themes due to the future cultures not always using the same instruments traditional to Metal and the Japanese culture reach starts to fade within other cultures since those are different to Japan. However, this 3rd Album had a lot of features of other guests from other bands or singers who helped create the music and their feel. A lot of them famous artists within Metal, Japan, and are popular within other countries. Other songs were still being made from years ago like Night! Night! Burn! from the exact time Megitsune was made one of the top 3 songs for Babymetal ever made, so the Japanese cultural feel is still influenced in some way. Babymetal said I believe that Album 4 coming out later earlier this year that a lot of the songs not used in the past will be put into that Album 4 that still has no official name. These songs seem to be even more adult themes with mythology being put into the lyrics. The songs will deal with tough topics in life it seems too. The overall big theme of the Album 4 is that Babymetal will be visiting different multiverse of worlds with bringing back a more Kawaii Metal feel and more Hevay Metal songs similar to Album 2 but in a more serious way, more adult way, and a more story feel leading into each song. To end it off Babymetal loves doing stuff different, it may not be perfect always, it may not be your taste, but, their is a song for anyone to love and for anyone to find different and that is okay. Here is Kobametal interview quote he did for Album 3 that shows his thinking and Babymetal thinking of their music. "Kobametal: Indeed. The song "Future Metal" on Metal Galaxy doesn't have a single actual instrument playing on it. It's entirely digital, created using synthesized guitars, bass, and drums, but it's an introduction to what metal music might sound like in the near future, or many decades or centuries from now; perhaps the preserved sound of metal music in a future world. That's what this intro song is about, and why we named "Future Metal." Actually, the synth phrases were originally played with guitar, but I replaced them with synths,, and there were a few homages to old metal songs, like the singable riffs I mentioned earlier...if you take it apart and listen to it carefully, you'll hear things and go, "oh, I recognize that phrase!!"" For anyone reading this, stay safe and hope you have a better day. The interview is from stechen website and Kobametal doesn't always do interviews, so if interested in stuff about Babymetal thinking and Kobametal thinking I reccomend it since not complex to read and believe also has Sumetal and Moametal interviewed also separately.

@@martinmetal7481 Thanks I love giving a lot of important info, took alkeast 20 mintues to write lol. For me I think David does know they love different stuff, but he may not always like the way they do it. Kinda like the Yava! lyrics says in their meaning that we don't have to think the same always but thinking different is okay since well we are all different. I always love David in depth reactions that I will personally write out all of this and only for few other creators who put in the hard work or really want to know more and others who may enjoy it within the comments.

You are right when you said YAVA is from the 2nd album. I think you are catching on with their sounds in terms of what album. Though this might surprise you, tales of the destinies? Not from the 3rd album, that was metal resistance. I do have some babymetal requests for you (which I should’ve requested on patreon since I now have a membership 😂): In the Name of (particularly the legend s - Baptism XX) Sis anger (preferably the Tokyo dome version) Onidari Daisenkusen (which took me 3 attempts to type) And Oh Majinai. GJ 10th anniversary version Oh and see if Ms Heratic would react to Death 😊 Will you like them? Hopefully so, but I know your opinion of babymetal is mixed (and no problem with that 👍👍) Will you be confused? Will you be like wait wha? Probably Will amuse block these? Most likely. So these may have to be patreon videos

You're not wrong that this is second album but you're wrong that Tales is from the third! Tales is actually on the second album and people either hate it or love it (I'm lucky, I love it!)

Thank you for the reaction! I'm interested in what you'd think of their song "Shanti Shanti Shanti." It's completely different to anything else, and I really like it for some reason :) I'm a relatively new fan of this group, but Yava has suddenly become one of my favourites. My dad always listened to ska (particularly Madness), and I love the sound and the choreo of this song (it's hard to explain why, I just like the movements). If I were to make one more suggestion, I saw you listen to Waggakiband. I don't listen to them much, but may I suggest you try Senbonzakura? You might like that one more, it's their most popular!

Interesting that you mention Jazz, Mikio Fujioka (RIP) on the left in the vid, was a jazz guitarist and guitar teacher, hence the wild jazzy solo's, and the other lead guitarist, Takayoshi Ohmura with his awesome pink glittery guitar (in this vid) was his apprentice. I loved the different styles they incorporated, with great success I would say. Sadly, I think Babymetal lost something when Yui left and they didn't replace her. Love their early stuff, like the stuff in the middle, dunno how I feel about the recent stuff. Thankfully I have most of their early Bluray's and can relive what I would call their glory days.

The style you were thinking of is ska! I completely understand how you feel about BxMxC. But the title is Baby Metal Cipher, and in the song and MV, Su and Moa battle demons, Mortal Kombat style, using their words as weapons! You can't get any more babymetal than that! And Su's unique rapping style makes it more babymetal to me than it does anything else. Besides, its NOT them. They were told to go far out of their comfort zone. The reason? Only the Fox god knows!🤘🦊👍

I think you missed a point of Babymetal that is they always trying something people wouldn't expect, some may LOVE it, some may HATE it, first album was very very experimental (if you saw iine you'll know what's that mean), then 2nd album they actually played a bit safer here with more grounded around 'proper' metal, 3rd album they get extremely experimental again, now with styles and vibes from all over the world - but overall being BM a fan, expect the unexpected is a kind of joy

I don't think there is such a thing as a "signature sound" in baby metal. They have been experimenting and using new sounds and genres since their first album, I don't know if you have reacted to songs like Onedari daisakuse, iine! o uki uki midnight

When you disparage the track that BabyMetal took on their third album I believe that you miss the point of who and what BabyMetal is and was about. The third album (in my opinion) does not stray from the core of the group but instead accentuates it. BabyMetal was different and they still are different (thankfully) from anything out there and the third album highlights that by them taking another bold step (much like their courageous beginning and triumph against the norm and criticism they endured and persevered through). So for me that album (Metal Galaxy) is typical BabyMetal because the whole rock and metal scene is their Galaxy. My opinion of course.

Haha. You said Babymetal got signature sounds and you think they stay in there. No sir, you are making mistake on that one. All of their songs are very different than other. Trust me on that one. You haven’t heard Iine, Doki doki morning, Awadama fever, Oh Majinai, Shanti shanti yet. Long way to go and stay with Babymetal. Lot’s of surprises for you sir!😂😂😂

i agree with a few other. how can you react to many songs and still dont understand Babymetal? like the last song In The Name of, you misunderstand them. that song is an intro song not really an actual song. Babymetal does not do comfortable. they have done like 25 different genre styles in their catalog. you have already put them in a box and you cant do that. you must have someone telling you stuff not right. i hate bands that sound alike all the time. Babymetal gets out their comfort zone every song. BMX would have been better for you if you had tried to understand the song. that song kicks ass live even at smaller events. just wait til you see the latin mix in Night Night Burn, the Indian mix of Shanti Shanti Shanti. you probably wont understand that either. Awadama Fever is another one i dont think you will get.

funny that every person who reacts to babymetal wants them to follow the style they want which i think is stupid, if they want to rap they will do it its your problem if you like it or not ,stay in this ridiculous thing "that's not their style" like ??? sorry if something is spelled wrong english is not my native language

You where almost correct in your assumption. Yes, Yava is from there second album and BMC from there third. However Tales of The Destinies is also from there second album. To me, as a Babymetal fan, your assumption about there third album seems a bit weird as you only did two reactions for songs that came from there third album. But I guess that can come with making a assumption. Also, and I might make a assumption here myself, I feel that some of your criticism for some of there songs comes from a "It doesn't sound like my version of what Babymetal should be" point of view. And if that's that cause then your always going to be disappointed by some of there songs. If I'm wrong then you're criticism is most likely based on your own likes and dislike and you shouldn't blame Babymetal for there very diverse song writing. (Hope I explained myself well enough.)
