She is indeed a great vocalist that has tons of diversity in her voice, which is why Yg is praising her in that sense and is not lying. That does not mean that she is the “best vocalist” out of all members. Cause someone can have a wide range, but others can be better in certain ranges than others.

Omg! Most of them are good vocalists. YG is praising her because HE’S SELLING A PRODUCT. Rora and Haram are great vocalists so why weren’t they praised as much. In fact the YG staff totally disrespected their vocal performance by focusing on stage presence. That was deliberate to enhance Ahyeon’s performance. It’s a freakin promotional show disguised as a survival show. Don’t be so easily fooled

Performing is always never the same with one audience or several people in front of you.. Thats why they trained such artists to be good in everything and have criterias to score them one by one to know who's ready or not to connect on stage specially with pressure and doing it live.

It was after the Stay evaluation when I became convinced that this series was like professional wrestling. THE NARRATIVE WAS PRECONCEIVED! YG’s goal was to have Ahyeon and Chiquita be the stand out stars. JenLisa 2. Haram and Rora sang absolutely beautifully but the YG staff purposely deflected the attention away from their vocal performance by completely focusing all the attention on stage presence. It’s exactly the same ploy magicians use to trick the audience. Fools you to look at a distraction to avoid you from what he wants you to not see. Then you have Ahyeon’s Gone performance which was ok except for the key part of Go-Ah-Ah -Ah-on. And of course they totally made a HUGE fuss about it to exaggerate and hype Ahyeon’s performance. Remember, Jennie said Pharita stood out and Rora completely impressed her a lot. All of that was lost during the staff’s evaluation. So after the vocal challenge, the audience was left believing how awesome Ahyeon is and how unbelievably talented Chiquita is for her age. This will continue throughout the series until the final episode when Ruka, Asa and Haram are finally allowed to stand out. By that time, the NARRATIVE had already been established. The WWE couldn’t have scripted it any better.

For those who are not aware, Rose never sang the Gone on on part in any of her live performances. That is how impressive Ahyeon must be to sing it live. Do note that Ahyeon didn't sing the whole song herself hence it is easier to do the Gone on on part unlike Rose. Ahyeon didn't exactly follow the tone of Rose unlike Pharita. She lowered hers to complement Pharita, making a contrast hence enhancing the overall performance. That is why Lee Suhyun said she is a team player since she "sacrifice" herself for the team.

Of course being in YG helps, and being the little sisters to Blackpink OF COURSE. They get a big stage to debut on and lots of exposure. But don't get it twisted. That is not the reason why everyone who has seen/heard this group is super pumped for their debut. They are both individually and as a group more stacked with talent even before debut than any group I've ever even heard of. As trainees they are already on par with, if not surpassing, many girl groups already out in terms of sheer talent. And that's EVERY. SINGLE. MEMBER.

Saying that, I agree there is a secret sauce that Blackpink has that has yet to be seen if BaeMon has to succeed on the world stage to the extent that Blackpink has. I think they can get there in time, maybe not as fast as Blackpink just because 3 of the 4 members were already such good English speakers at debut, they were already endearing themselves internationally right off the bat.

Maybe, but it's also thanks for their hard work and talents. They have been getting attention because of their talents. Plus, showing this evaluation publicly raise their popularity, and they got a lot of audience. This is like the same with blackpink before, many people says that 2ne1 has their back. And it repeats with Baby monster. But eventually, they will make their own name as a group of talented young kids with individual colors. Let's not invalidate their hard work as well, it's already hard enough to be in debut team knowing that YG has intense training system, and it takes lot of years for YG to release and debut girl group and boy groups.

To have that shortcut too, you have to go through stress every few weeks for years at such a young age. One wrong move and their dream is gone. You know how difficult it is to be a YG trainee? YG has the toughest auditions and training system. Also, the pressure as being the sisters of Blackpink is just as much as the facilities. The comfortable artistic life they will lead after debut is self earned.

It's a pleasure for baby monster to be in the same label with Blackpink since blackpink is also their role models but the pressure is also there especially that YG is one of the top agency, some has high expectations to them like they should be the next blackpink, some even saying that chiquita is the next lisa just because they have same hairstyle and posture, and not their own identity, not as baby monsters. It's sad that some people thinks Baby monsters or some 4th gen groups had it easy because they're in a large companies and have popular and big seniors. I feel like their hard work, their blood, sweat, and tears, is being invalidated.

WHAT ABOUT SOME GREAT TRAINEES WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY LEFT YG? After watching BABYMONS7ER Last Evaluation I thought hey maybe PURPLE KISS has competition in the most talented 4th gen girl group category. My #2 Kpop group PK have 2 talented former YG TRAINEES Chaein and Ireh. BM Ruka has onstage swag but her one Achilles heel is her English pronunciation, something she has in common a bit with another PK member, the Japanese Kpop idol rapper I'm suprised you haven't reacted to yet: YUKI of PURPLE KISS (MAMAMOO's juniors at RBW). She is considered by quite a few Kpop fans to be one of the best 4th gen girl group rappers (reactors RCP from ATL were asked to name an idol who could be a 'rapper rapper' and her name was brought up. She was also in top 7 contestants this week on Queendom Puzzle ep7). She has the #2 most songwriting credits of any 4th gen girl group member in just 2 years because she writes raps on most of their songs. Offstage when not being a bada-- rapper she is a horror movie fan and known for her distinctive laugh. The group also has a former YG TRAINEE Chaein who is my 2nd favorite Kpop main vocal after BLACKPINK Rosé (my #3 might be Swan another of the group's 3 main vocals and 20yo maknae who recently dropped a 2 song solo). Chaein is a great b-sides composer (CURSOR, OH MY GOSH, JOAH, T4KE) / choreographer and all-rounder who dances well and occasionally raps (Yuki & Chaein covered Doja Cat's Vegas) and has some YG swag (Chaein's bestie / jokingly self-described wife, main dancer Ireh was also a former YG TRAINEE). PURPLE KISS are known for their versatility, generally changing genres with every new title track and have a great collection of b-sides. Start with tecent R&B song SWEET JUICE or witchy debut PONZOÑA or disco pop ZOMBIE or spooky b-side performance video for PRETTY PSYCHO which started out as intro FREAKY PURKY one of their 5 spooky short into track performance videos (CROWN, ILLUSION, BYE BYE BULLY, SAVE ME often have shades of Billie Eilish in them, the 3 main vocals also covered her BURY A FRIEND). Their M2 relay dances are great, particularly their cover of EXO OVERDOSE or their dance cover of labelmates ONEUS underrated song BLACK MIRROR. They have songoing lore in some videos as outsider witches. While looking into where great former YG TRAINEES have gone after leaving them, see also BILLLIE who has 10 years long former trainee rapper Moon Sua (placed 4th on Unpretty Rapstar years ago when she was just 17, her brother was in ASTRO). Like PURPLE KISS they are also musically versatile with title tracks. They are under Mystic Story, a sublabel of SM (except their music is arguably better thsn what SM has put out the past 2 years, and their lore is weird and freaky instead of cheesy). Their music videos have ongoing mystery lore storyline. Check out crazy debut RING X RING or rockin RING MA BELL or poppy Y2K esque 2023 song EUNOIA. Best b-sides are B'RAVE A SONG FOR MATILDA performance video on OOTV KZfaq channel and NEVERTHELESS color coded lyrics vids. Their Japanese main dancer Tsuki famously had a viral fancam for GingaMingaYo with rapidly changing facial expressions that got her i vited on many variety shows, also the moon bunny princess od kawaii and aegyo when she's not being a fierce dancer. FROMIS_9 rapper / singer / lead dancer / b-side songwriter Soyeon was a former YG TRAINEE around same time as Chaein of PURPLE KISS and BILLLIE Moon Sua (Soyeon & Sua started there earlier than Chaein, all 3 were part of famous Future 2ne1 trainee group). Group known for sincere vocals in summertime bops like #menow, DM, WE GO, FEEL GOOD, and cracked out song and mv LOVE BOMB & FUN! as well as great b-sides with performance videos or special videos REWIND, ESCAPE ROOM, ATTITUDE, AIRPLANE MODE and WEATHER. Watch variety shows and extra channel content for Chaeyoung antics doing impressions of members or ASMR video by Roh Jisun (BABYMONSTER Rora looks like she could be her younger sister). Main vocal Jiwon in your face loud idol from Busan is great but I love Soyeon's unique vocals. Lead vocal Hayoung is known for her high dolphin notes (see end of DM) kinda like Belle does in KISS OF LIFE debut Shhh... KISS OF LIFE leader / rapper Hawaiian born Julie Han is a former trainee of THEBLACKLABEL and Thai main dancer all-rounder former soloist Natty was famously a contestant on Sixteen and Idol School. Main vocal former SM trainee Belle co-wrote songs for some other groups before debuting in July and 18yo maknae Haneul. Their ambitious debut project had 6 interconnected music videos - 4 member solos plus pre-debut rock ballad BYE MY NEVERLAND and R&B hiphop debut SHHH.

It is possible tho, just because she hardly speak english doesn't mean she can't understand english at all. It's just hard for her to pronounce it since it's not her native language, but their recent release song “Dream” her english gotten better, especially if it's a slow rap. Since it's not her native language, she finds it hard to pronounce some words but it is possible to write lyrics, since she can understand the language and has been improving ever since. She'll get in there. Plus, you cannot truly rely on google translator. There's a lot of books there that you can use so that you'll learn. Plus, it's part of their training to learn languages. And the company provides books or even language teacher for them.
