Babymonster showing off their YG heritage... "Batter Up" = traditional YG anthem formula song. "Stuck in the Middle" = classic (2nd gen) YG ballad formula song.

It was ruka at the beginning talking... And this sound is actually not "new" or "something which was never done before" for YG as 2nd gen YG artists were doing this type of "R&B styled ballads" and were quite famous for doing these unique ballads... This SITM is nothing but an "upgraded version" of that. What YG actually meant by "doing something different" in that announcement video was the M/V concept... YG had never done "Disney" ish M/V and this was the 1st for them. (At least I've never seen any other similar M/V concept to this done by YG since I've started following them i e. last 16 years)

Solid reaction guys! It's pretty much "NIGHT & DAY" between the two songs! People tend to forget or don't even know that YG's CEO was a k-pop artist before he started his Agency! He knows what he is doing and what he's talking about, PERIOD! 2n1 and Blackpink's success was no coincidence. The team behind them are top notch 👌! My friend it's NOT just a thought... It's a FACT. I mean I'm following YG since it just started to go BIG (since 2008) and since then one thing I learnt about YHS is that He's a genius when it comes to finding talent and producing them. As you said he was the idol himself, but not any idol he was the idol from the group who MADE k-pop, 1st one to become "household" name "seo taiji and boys" so he definitely understands what's needed to make it BIG

RAMI/SHIN HARAM, AHYEON/JUNG AHYEON and RORA/LEE DAIN are my favorite members in BABYMONSTER. I really love their voices. They are so talented. They are so good at singing. Their vocals are superb. I love them so much.
