Hi , im currently a high school student i stopped taking violin classes due to my tight school schedule and financial problems i still have the zeal to continue learning and playing this wonderful instrument. I play at various occasions i give my best, i still feel im not enough and my fingers are so stiff when i play these days . I wont stop learning and master it one fine day, that's one goal i have. Your videos lights up the spark in me to never stop, God bless.

I love this although you have a different climax and ending. Have you ever listened to Doug Marshall play this on the organ ? The main tune is played with his feet where he also adjusts the volume. Both hands play the accompaniment on 3 keyboards !! Have a listen, it’s fabulous 😊😊

Vielen Dank für die Noten und die Begleitmusik zu Ave Maria. Ich übe das Stück seit einiger Zeit in der Musikschule. Zuhause ohne Klavier war’s dann immer ganz anders als im Unterricht wenn mich meine Lehrerin begleitet hat. Jetzt bin ich viel sicherer geworden und bleibe im Rhythmus. Nochmals vielen Dank!

I am still rather new. How can it be composed by Gounod AND Bach? I read something about Gounod somehow „modified“ it in order to suit Bachs prelude. Excuse my question :)

The Ave Maria by Bach and Gounod is an example of a "paraphrase." Charles Gounod composed a melody over the existing Prelude No. 1 in C Major by Johann Sebastian Bach and thus created the Ave Maria. It is a way of paying homage to Bach and uses the familiar melody of the Prelude as a basis. Therefore, the Ave Maria was composed by two composers, although Gounod wrote the melody of the Ave Maria himself and Bach composed the underlying melody of the Prelude.
