Күн бұрынThese 7 works comprise J.S Bach’s complete output of German motets - in stark contrast to his prolific cantata output of over 200 works. German motets occupied a specific place in the canon of liturgical music in the 16 - 18 centuries. They were performed solely by the choir schools during services, the congregation remaining silent. Consequently, the writing is more complex than that found in works where the congregation could join in. It was customary for two motets to be sung at Sunday services, Vespers, weddings, funerals church induction ceremonies, inaugurations and university gatherings.

Lebhafte und wunderschöne Interpretation dieser sechs fein oder perfekt komponierten Motetten im veränderlichen Tempo mit gut harmonisierten Stimmen des ausgezeichneten Chors sowie gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen des ebenso ausgezeichneten Barockensemble. Der intelligente und geniale Dirigent leitet alles im rhythmischen Tempo und mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Wunderbar vom Anfang bis zum Ende!

We didn't work the same long hours of the modern day, and we didn't have distractions like TV or social media. You could do research, try to do business, you could compose, or you could gamble and drink. There wasn't a lot of diversionary activity unless you were rich, and transport over long distances was more of a hassle. Essentially, those possessed by a passion put all of their time into it back then. Kind of like me now, with my longevity research.

@@darkhorseman8263 You do longevity research? I’m always wondering why people are concerned about longevity. Live to be 70 80 or 95. What’s the difference? The good part is when you’re young anyway. Why not focus on Now rather than some future time? The movie is three hours instead of two. Is it better? I never understood people worrying about living until they are extremely old. You clearly have a different perspective- pls tell me why longevity is so important to some people

@dougcameron6609 My particular focus was reversing muscle wastage in the elderly to give them a higher quality of life. This is why I started. It started out as a thoughtful idea after seeing some old people struggling. Unfortunately, I'm a little obsessive in research, and I'm pretty sure I now know how to make someone immortal. At the very least, I'm 10 years ahead of David Sinclair. Affording all the components is the problem. I need capital investment, but I dislike big business and sucking up to potential investors, so it's slow.
