I give Arie some slack. This show is basically forcing a man to find his wife in 2 months. Lol That time frame is insane. Most people become official boyfriend and girlfriend in 2 months - not husband and wife. I can understand how he chose the girl he thought checked off his list. I have made this mistake too. I met a guy that had all of my "requirements" or hopes for a future spouse. But your heart leads you somewhere else. He didnt have a lot of time to figure it out. I'm glad it worked out, in the end.

Arie is not a bad guy. He had conflicting emotions and I think there was pressure from the expectation of being the bachelor to propose to Becca. He obviously needed more time to decipher what his heart truly needed....who the right woman was for him. I"m sure he had strong feelings for Becca....but he couldn't deny his feelings for Lauren. It was not easy for him to break up with Becca...but he did the right thing. If he did not break up with her, then he would have lived a lie and probably would have ended in divorce. Then all the critics would have lambasted him for having married Becca. With regard to public opinion, this was a catch-22 for him. But he had to be honest with his heart for both his sake and for that of Becca. He realized he could not give to Becca what she needed, what she deserved...He loved her enough to do right by her and break it off before making a huge mistake. This took strength and compassion on his part. God bless him. And God bless Becca in her future.

I remember when this first happened, he got so much heat for it at the time. Ultimately Arie is not a bad guy, especially comparing to some of the recent bachelors. He’s a good guy who made a mistake. Him and Lauren are such a lovely couple and happy little family, still going strong after 5 years, wheras most bachelor couples break up before they even get married. Maybe this would’ve been the case with him and Becca if they’d stayed together, maybe not. But you never know what will happen if you don’t take the chance. Happy for all the happy couples

There are no bad guys here. The show is produced for max drama. Emotion always conquers logic, but love is pure emotion. Can be great. But down force logic and reason on someone else chasing love. Empathy is the key. Love doesn't end at some goal line, ain't football.

He's not in love with either of them!! There is no way for someone to even know and everyone puts all of this pressure on them to decide. He is just undecided and didn't know how to handle it. Probably the best thing he could have done for her. He could have just rolled with it and then broken up with her later after all of the fan fair was over, but either that says he didn't care about that or he just wanted the attention and notoriety of being the guy that did this?? It could all be a big joke to him or he could just be in over his head. Nobody will ever know if he's a stand up dude or just a guy who wanted some fame!!

For me as a woman, it's amazing that these girls literally act like they are crazy for a guy they don't even know. They are all attractive but seemingly want marriage above all else. I mean they show tons of emotional jealousy towards the other girls and the guy on day two... I realize that some people have found long term love on this show, but people need to look at that as a rarity and let this just be a show that is fun and you may or may not find someone among the group. It's like the whole thing is so forced. For a country that doesn't act like you have to get married they sure do push these people to make a commitment to a least someone for the shows purposes and then they go away and break up and nobody really cares... In the real world we would never want a friend or family member to get engaged to someone they have known for such a small amount of time with camera's on them constantly! Everyone is saying he's cold and just a horrible guy, but isn't that why you date someone for a long time, to find out?

It’s really sucky, but Arie was conflicted. He was in love with both of them he said. He told Lauren he loved her after they broke up. And he made up his mind fairly quickly at least to break up with Becca. It really sucks but it’s a lot of pressure to choose someone to marry so soon. Now he and Lauren are happily married expecting twins. I feel really bad for Becca but hopefully she’ll find a soulmate

I'm not being rude or sarcastic, just factual. He appeared conflicted, and was very clear. For him...a proposal meant he was sure he wanted to marry Rachel. His indecisiveness was human and nothing more. This dude Ari couldn't even decide who to put the ring on, snatched it back and chose another girl...far worse. I give them five minutes...they won't even make it to the altar. The Nick dude on the episode Rachel was a contestant broke up with his choice. So far, I could be mistaken, but none of the men have made it to the altar...only a few bachelorettes. Is that the point of the show?

Chant Bagley I heard that whole podcast. They weren't together when he went on the show. They might've gotten back together for a short period after, but part of him being conflicted was him catching feelings for Rachel. His girlfriend is racist and stupid. Who TF in their right mind would be ok with a man they're planning to be with to go on a show about him dating and possibly proposing at the end. She's just mad because when he came back, they didn't work out and she never thought he would catch feelings for a black woman because "he's never dated a black woman before." Which he was honest about. She played herself, girl bye. And for the record...this show is a platform for all of them! I believe Rachel and Bryan are the real thing, but don't get it twisted...both of them have seen a boom in their businesses and/or other endeavors since the show. The last Bachelor before this dope, Nick...now pursuing acting. Dean and his podcast, etc. They're all trying to get ahead using the spotlight...

Lucky , because he told her now and not after marriage with kids then it will be so difficult and she will be hurt so bad for long time. Plus her family didn’t look they like him . But Lauren,s family loved him specially her father . And both family liked each other. And is very important I’m so happy for them they look marvellous together and their kids will be very good looking. I put myself in both their shoes & like he said, he has to follow his heart.......we’re all human & we all change our minds.......she was badly hurt of course but to stay with someone whose only half in, neither of them would be happy & eventually breakup, so better sooner than later. It was the right thing for Arie to do & I’m so happy for him & Lauren. They actually make a cuter cple than with Becca in my opinion. I have a son the same age as arie & would want my son to be happy & in love with his wife. People fall in love & break up all the time, it’s life. I always love to watch the bachelor I watching the bachelor or I watching the bachelorette when I was 21 years old and I was still watching the bachelor I was still watching the bachelorette I can't never stop watching my favorite part is the final Rose I love always love the color Red and my favorites part of the bachelorette is people are so in love that who that really cares about I always love the name Lauren!!!!

This show highlights the foolishness of letting your heart drive your decisions. That's what Arie did, and he changed his mind a few weeks after proposing to someone. That's what all of the contestants do and put their emotional well being and dignity on the line to win a chance at proposing to someone that they're not even in an exclusive relationship with.

Aries boring, Lauren's boring. They're meant to be. This was the most tired season of the bachelor I have ever seen. Arie was a terrible choice for the bachelor, he has no personality. He's so bland and there was absolutely no reason for all these girls to be swooning over him. You can find a guy just like him on the streets, he's not rich, he's not overly attractive, so I don't understand why these girls are so dramatic over loosing some average ass man. Lauren is the same way, no depth whatsoever. YAWN.

I'm in the UK so I'm only seeing clips on you tube as it won't be shown here for a while. My fav season was Emily 's . From what I've seen in these clips so far I'm totally surprised by his lack of emotion in the final , really it's like he's going through the motions of being in love with both women. If you think of how he was with Emily @ how he felt about her you could see up If and feel for him. This time I think he wanted maybe to get those feelings back 're capture it what he had with Emily. I just didn't feel it in these clips with either women. I don't think it will last with Lauren it will fizzle out . The way he broke off with becca was like he was a robot. I don't think he got over Emily tbh and he wasn't right choice for the bachelor.

Have you never wondered why there are crew members credited as "writers." It's all fiction. There's a good show called Unreal written by a former Bachelor producer that tells all.

MEN can be so heartless! That’s why women have become kinda the same way anymore...we’re tired of men so we’re playing payback now. Times are changing...I love to hear “women cheat too” well in my eyes it’s all payback you hurt us we hurt you. Maybe men will stop cheating if they know we can do the same thing.

It wasn't your fault Becca let him go run back to Lauren who he has to keep reassuring it's obvious he cannot handle a Confident Woman you go and keep your confidence you stay strong and you can definitely find a better man then he could have been for you or at least you thought he was you deserve way better

Wow, that cry from Becca after Arie had stepped outside was a cry from deep within her soul - put tears in my eyes....and I'm a hardened military guy who never cried! Poor thing. Arie is making a very big mistake. Becca is his other half - they look alike (tall, lanky), they walk alike, and they even dressed the same color (blue). What is wrong with that boy! Here's my advice for Arie: If you are equally attracted to both women, pick the one who most resembles you. Becca is Arie's better half. She'll be a very good wife for him.

Becca is way too clingy. She was always the wrong fit. She projects the same attitude on her new fiance she did on arie. They always just didn't seem right in my opinion but Arie family told him they didn't like Lauren which is why I think he tried to choose becca.

Didnt jason mesnick do the same thing with his season. And now he and molly are still together. I cant speak for arie but jason did bachelor for all the right reasons. I think its better to do the final rose after a few weeks.
