Yosef, upset about the strip dodgeball date that he wasn't a part of, lays into Clare for her 'distasteful and classless' behavior, saying that he expected more from 'the oldest Bachelorette that's ever been.' Clare sends him home, once again telling a man on the show that she would never want them being the father of her child. Yosef says she's not fit to be a mother to his child. From 'Week 3' of 'The Bachelorette' 2020. Watch the wild next episode THURSDAY NOV 5 8|7c on ABC, streaming, on demand, and Hulu.

He's not wrong. I had the same thoughts watching, but the delivery is off. And at the same time if this was a woman telling the bachelor off, then I imagine the public would be cheering. A lot of double standard going on. At the end believe the other guys will start to see that he was saying, but will appease her as they are doing now.
@saratorrice3448
@saratorrice3448 3 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree. Clare is in the wrong and so is he. We can see this at the beginning of the season, every time Clare was sent home she’d yell and say that “I don’t settle for men like that” then why be on the bachelorette of all places and who is the common denominator? I wasn’t a fan of Clares from the beginning and I definitely not now. I agree with the guy (Yosef right? Idk) that the strip dodgeball was very classless. You’d think when Clare became the bachelorette she’d try her best to stick to the “I’m the oldest bachelorette” thing. I know the producers choose the activities but with how much Clare seems to be controlling the season I feel like she could’ve said something on the spot at any moment. That being said Yosef went to far. I’m not a fan of Clares but throwing dog after dig into her character ain’t cool when he could’ve said a few more meaningful words and just leave. Every time a woman tells someone off on the bachelor they get called a hero. Sometimes yes and this time definitely no. The bachelor is a very sexist place with double standards. I feel like whenever a woman like Clare talks about how strong she is she somehow puts men down while doing it. It’s very odd to me. I agree that the guys will try to appease her but they will hit their end too. You can only handle so much in a situation with that and after the most recent episode of her just trying to get to Dale...I think the turning point of the season is closer than we think

I agree that Yosef got a bit messy toward the end there and went on for a while. And I'm not sure precisely how the conversation was edited by the producers (Clare did say she had been listening to him for 20 minutes), but I get the impression that the reason he went on for as long as he did was because, although he stood by his criticisms (as well he should, given that they were completely legitimate), he knew the situation was still awkward and maybe he was waiting for her to respond in either a more civil fashion than she did, or, possibly expected a full apology. Which she should've given, not just to him, but to all the guys.

Clare had to sacrifice when she was a contestant on the bachelor. If someone can’t handle that, they shouldn’t be on the show 2) strip dodgeball. The bachelor and bachelorette don’t plan the date activities. They never have. The producers do 3) more on strip dodgeball. Guys had to get in a Speedo for Hannah brown and be rated by a panel of judges. Girls did a pillow fight tournament in lingerie for Peter. Every year, girls get in skimpy bikinis and do sexual poses with the bachelor for the cover of cosmopolitan. Lastly, fantasy suites: where a girl gets to have sex with three guys in a week. He chose to be there for her and she chose to waste all the mens time. She clearly knew Dale was it from day 1. I am glad he spoke up and left the show. Clare was playing the victim card when she said "I understand my mother is dying," just as she saw that she would be criticized. If someone's mother is dying, they wouldn't be on a reality show. And even if she were there, isn't it fishy that she decides to bring up her mother just at the point where she knew she would be criticised. But then, Yosef could have been polite by saying a simple " Im sorry to hear that. But I really need to say something." Both are idiots.

He made it seem like he was approaching her with his feelings respectfully, but quickly made it into an attack- I’m not shocked that her defenses went up after she extended herself to listen to him, he went on and on and didn’t treat it like an actual conversation at all. He cornered her, insulted her, and obviously triggered her fight or flight response. It sucks that everyone is saying “she’s crazy”. Her response actually makes a lot of sense IMO, it was a survival mode response and makes me think she has been with narcissistic partners in the past who demeaned her regularly- hence her shaking and crying.

Yosef is right people that dumb strip dodgeball is super classless. Clare is by FAR the worst bachelorette yet. Cant believe she would suggest this kinda thing at her ripe age of 39.

Does he know that it's a tv show? 99% chance it wasn't Clare who came up with the game.. agree on his point that Clare was overreacted during group date but his delivery showed a lot about who he is .. pretended to be above everything else like dude you signed up for reality tv dating show during pandemic. It ain't normal!!

Take some accountability, just bc she's a woman doesn't make her a victim. She agrees to the game, she pressured them to strip and she let them hug her naked knowing it's going to be on TV. It may not have been her idea but being compliant and going with it makes her just as guilty. That's like saying just bc I didn't make the plan to rob a store, if I get caught robbing a store, I'm absolved of guilt. That's stupid as fuck logic and immature as hell.

@Stella Vi-ura "ok what those nude dodgeball and her mom dying have to do with how he reacted?" My point is she interjected her sob story about her mother being on her death bed just to take the attention away from him as the one speaking. And that her little sob story makes no sense given the context, because only a sociopath or histrionic runs away to enjoy publicly televised sexapades when their parent is about to die. "This isn’t the show for him but he still came for his 15 seconds." Irrelevant. That does not preclude a person's right to speak. "He has been disrespecting her from the beginning" Perhaps. I don't watch shows like this. But I do know that the bachelorette has kept him around all this time nonetheless. "and set a bad example for his daughters by how he reacted." That is strictly a matter of opinion.

@Stella Vi-ura "she said her mother is dying and she is giving so much too because he was saying he gave up being with his daughters to be with her." Again, my point is she only butted in to take attention away from the person speaking. And of course, it's a lame distraction in the context, because no one who is truly worried about their mother dying is going to desert her to seek international fame or prompt perfect strangers for random lewd antics on a reality show. "He wanted sympathy so many ppl on the show are giving up a lot. No one made him come on the show. And he has been showing a bad example for his daughters." Irrelevant. He was speaking and she interrupted. "And you say it yourself you haven’t watched the show. If you watched the show you will see he is an arrogant narcissist who has been condescending and have been throwing abusive words at her since the first episode. Like I said if you watch the show you would know Clare was never gonna pick him so he sabotaged himself and the producers probably told him to be dramatic for ratings." Nevertheless, he was still on the show. For whatever reason. "He went out sad and showed he is a walking red flag" I would say a woman that age behaving like a teenager on spring break at Cancun is the red flag here.

@Stella Vi-ura "not a matter of opinion it’s facts. If y’all saying his opinions of her are true the way he showed himself is also a bad representation for his daughters. That simple" Well, that depends on the example you want to set. If the lesson he wants to teach his daughter is to be a passive tool who allows her prospective mate to openly disrespect her by proudly and unapologetically galivanting around with naked women, fine. But I would venture to say no father wants his daughter mistreated that way. Because that would misogynistic. Again, opinion. It's that simple.

No no no she should be told what she is doing wrong You guys might or might not know she was a bachelorette before and I don’t know what happened to her and her ex fiancé But she’s got to work on herself and be educated on relationship and what she is looking for in a husband Because right now she is experiencing infatuation not love
