It's weird I see this character appearing just as the franchise went SOUTH BIG TIME. To see Bachmann has done this is wild. I think they need more colour (USA color) contrast in the face v moustache. Is that the KATO track system, if so that's classy stuff. I was given a KATO track layout and it really impressed me.

I would know! As I have own it. 😏 It’s just that Stepney (as well as diesel 10) are heavily requested by fans, both have reasons to avoid being made, but I don’t think any soul wanted beau

Honestly, looking at it from a business perspective, it makes perfect sense why they decided to make Beau. They already have an abundance of different 4-4-0 toolings, and here is this obscure CG series character that fits the bill perfectly. It’s a very cheap and easy way for Bachmann to get some more money off the license and you can hardly blame em for taking that route with that in mind. It was also the fact that the tooling already existed why they didn’t add the buffers up front. Personally, I think that’s for the better. He looks way better without the buffers and it just makes him look more American.

SIDE NOTE: as for Beau’s good pulling power, that’s probably because of his fitted traction tires. That’s standard on all Bachmann 4-4-0s given their lightweight

Amazing unboxing and review on the Bachmann Beau, it’s so cool how it has a knuckle coupler on the front since American train locomotives have knuckle couplers and it’s a shame that the eyes don’t move

@@rodimussupreme2329it’s lazy but it works, Beau is literally just an American 4-4-0, why would they make a new tooling when they already have a new one at their disposal. The eye mechs always look odd anyway, and bump up the prices more than they need to be.

Hank won’t happen because Mattel forbid them from making non-CGI engines. Plus given how some people claim that Beau is an odd or unnecessary choice for Bachmann, I don’t see why Hank should be made.

I understand why Bachmann didn’t make Beau with the moving eye mechanism but reuse the Jupiter tooling to save money. All the same, the standard face gives me the feeling of Hornby making an official comeback towards the Thomas range yet again.

Yo trainboy, do you have any minis factory errors? I do since today, the minis now are not surprise and when I saw a WEIRD ass Henry and then I saw a normal one I said “holly molly a factory error!” Then I got him for 1. 47 $ in a FRICKIN HEB! So yeah, now I have a model series accurate Henry, from that time when he used Gordon’s confused face (that’s what I call that face)

I’m not a fan of the CGI series, and definitely not a fan of Reboot series either, but it’s interesting that Beau has an American/U.S. coupler at the front, and a British/U.K./European coupler at the back.

Bachmann has been shipping their Thomas locomotives and cars in that stupid packaging for years. I hate it, but the new packaging is a little better than what it was. Before you had nothing to store the model in, now they do give that clam shell to keep it in. Dont get me wrong, a box would be much better, but this is a step up from where it was.
