I only have to hear the first two or three words of a POC video and my stress levels fall away dramatically ! - Even the traffic lights at 'pop-up' roadworks (at 4:50, the usual type with no actual work going on..) turn green for POC.. and after the mag rebuild the old girl is a genuine one-kicker now ! - Great to see you back on the road again, fantastic stuff as always..

Ah good lady in the sidecar, sun is shining, willows are weeping, roads are dry and tyres sticky, whats not to like!

And relaaaax , hope you are feeling more like your old self after whatever it was that kept you out of the saddle . At the moment i don't think i would be as sprightly as Angie is whilst trying to emerge from the sidecar !!

Always a good day to see a new film from you. Hoping you’re feeling better after the absence. Fascinating sky you were travelling under . Nice to see the outfit back to full strength again. My own sidecar body is succumbing to crumbling fibreboard skin panels. Ah well a lesson learned.

It's made my day to see a fresh POC video! Thankyou as always, and wishing you a speedy recovery for whatever has been keeping you out of the saddle.

Hope both yourself and Angie are well, and whatever medical issues, have been resolved. The motorcycle combination looks and sounds superb, and I am glad to hear you have found and fixed the starting issues. As a long time motor mechanic, possibly the only thing I could not restore and test myself would be a magneto, good you know someone who can. Thank you for another video, much appreciated. Stay well and best wishes 👍

I would have asked for both your autographs, but there's a large pond between us. The Panther I have has four wheels, the last body on frame American car (built in Canada till 2011) a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, one of three models, the others being the Ford Crown Victoria, and the Lincoln Town Car. All built on the Panther platform for more than forty five years, with various changes, in a hamlet named after Colonel Talbot, a British army officer who set up many settlements all over south western Ontario. Your Panthers are wonderful foils for your perspective that gives inspiration to carry on with what we know leading us to explore what we don't.

Great to see you back, excellent video as usual. Hope you are soon back to full compression. Angie let you off with only four plants, I would never have got away with that, if Vivienne only buys single figure numbers I think I am doing well.

Could you go into detail on the sidecar brake? I have recently bought a sidecar and I am completely rebuilding the suspension and frame.
@PantherOwnersClub116 күн бұрын
Big advantage of the Panther's interchangeable full-width hubs is the equal braking effort on all three wheels. I set the sidecar pedal a fraction below the motorcycle's lever so that my foot can tilt to compensate for any slight difference. For a demo of full-on emergency braking see the Rat Run video on this channel, about 14 minutes in.

Or you could do it like the Jawa 350 two stroke with Velorex sidecar. Speak to the chaps at F2Motorcycles the UK Jawa Velorex people. They sell parts.

What did the mag rebuild cost? And do they make an electronic ignition for the M120?
@PantherOwnersClub116 күн бұрын
I'm not aware of an off-the-shelf electronic ignition to replace the Lucas magneto Lee. I would expect to pay around £200 for a rebuild now, depending on your unit's condition.

@@PantherOwnersClub1 Is there a way to do away with the points. Thank you.
@eiltechltd167414 күн бұрын
@@PantherOwnersClub1 Thorspark supply a a great product for the electronic ignition as follows: • Single cylinder mag dyno's with face cam points, Lucas mo1, mo1l, moil • Single cylinder magdyno's with slip/cam ring points, Lucas mo1, k1f, k1fc • Twin cylinder magnetos with slip ring points, k2f, mn2, k2fc • Lucas mn1e for square fours • Single cylinder Lucas sr1, n1, etc, also sr2 for twins • bth magnetos, kd1, dirt track, kc1, kc2 and others the catch then is to have a good battery and charging dyno.

Hi how do you set your steering damper on your combo please
@PantherOwnersClub13 күн бұрын
P&M intended the big Panthers to be used with a sidecar and although the fork geometry may be something of a compromise, to permit solo use as well, I have never done more than nip up the steering damper. There is only the merest flutter of the handlebars at 10mph or so.
@chrisminter2717 күн бұрын
Very nice, glad you got the problem solved... I notice that the rubber tube between the carburetor and the air box/filter is not aligned properly. you will be getting unfiltered air into the engine...
