I'm still using my Roland KC-110. I haven't been busking as much since my foray with the Bose and so I held off finding another and used that money elsewhere. On this occasion I was performing inside the shopping centre with a lot of hard, reflective surfaces around me, so the amp didn't need to be pushed at all to reach a good volume. I find it still gets the job done and though it would be wonderful to get something that's maybe a 10-20% improvement on it's output capability, it's just not worth setting myself back a grand or more, when I'm rarely performing at the moment (health issues!). I also still have my Yamaha Stagepas 400 PA for situations that the Roland may fall short in and I upgraded my battery and inverter last year to allow for longer usage of that PA through my portable power set up, if the need arises. I'm sure there are plenty of great options out there, though I haven't looked into it recently, and certainly a lot of people have made helpful suggestions in the comments of that video to support that the Bose S1 Pro can be a great amp with the right additions. There have also been a lot of people suggesting a vast array of alternatives there too, so if you're looking into getting your next amp, I'd definitely say to have a peruse of those comments and then look into what models your local stores have available to try and hopefully you can test out and find the one that's going to work best for you. 😊 My Roland model has been discontinued, but they have replaced it with a newer version, the KC-220, I believe.
