I wish some of those posting here took into account that many of the songs you're claiming as Paul songs featured MAJOR, essential contributions from John. John co-wrote a lot of these "Paul" songs - maybe it was less than 50% at times, but the songs wouldn't be the songs without John's massive talent and input. (What would "It's getting better all the time?" be without "Can't get no worse"? And have you ever noticed how crucial John's rhythm guitar part is on "All My Loving"?) The desire to segregate Paul songs from John songs (and to damn the loving crowd at Strawberry Fields) really misses out on the incredible collaboration between both artists, and between all four Beatles (*and* George Martin). Please stop with the finger-pointing. Most of the people at SF (including me) are every bit as much of a hardcore Beatles fan as you might be. When you're in that mob of joy, you don't stop a song once it starts somewhere, and you don't over-analyze it by saying "STOP! STOP! From what I've read, John didn't do enough on this song to qualify!" The Beatles were John's band, and they were - as Paul now frequently says - "four corners of a square".

Beautiful cover indeed. I even liked the tone dead woman. Everybody else was spot on. This may have been Johns birthday but this song was 100% Paul. Even Ringo wasn't on it. So not the best choice for the occasion but a joy to listen to and to watch.

If you call it "Lennon´s Birthday", maybe you should post HIS songs. And perhaps ppl at S Fields should take that into consideration as well. "All My Loving", for instance, is a Paul´s song, like this one. Hey Jude, Let It Be, i Saw Her standing There, Eleanor Rigby, Penny Lane, The Long and Winding Road, and so many others. They were Paul´s. A lot of these I´ve seen here are mainly Paul´s.
