Back to 1996. Old-new LG or GoldStar VCR. Unpacking a video cassette player

LG RN830AW
LG is the modern name of this company. In fact, the name used to be GOLDSTAR. In 1995, the two companies Lucky and Goldstar merged. As a result, LG Electronics appears (the first letter “L” is taken from Lucky, and “G” from Goldstar, it turns out “LG”.
My VCR model is 1996 and the new LG name is on the case. But nevertheless, I met the same VCR model RN830AW, produced in 1996, but with the old name GOLDSTAR (I think some factories were not so quick to print a new name on the case, or maybe these were versions produced in 1995).

I have a Lg lv3395 which I use for recording TV shows and family events.We have lots of family events that I have recorded and lots of movies that are recorded from a dvbt2.I still use it..,still recording tv shows & family events.Honestly I don't know how it has survived this 19-20 years.Still the best part is the rewind-ing sounds.I LOVE LG FOR MAKING THIS!!!!

Thankfully, it doesn't damage or eat any of the VHS videocassettes you own at all. It is perfectly fine, so therefore, it's 100% working.

As I can see, this LG VHS player has a composite video, mono audio input and output sockets, RF in and out, the DC input, the channel selection screw, and a switch on the back of it. So, this model appears to be entirely monophonic, again.

I had a GoldStar RN800AW. After five years there were problems with the power supply, which gradually got all destroyed. The mechanism wasn't always reliable and the last few years there have been all sorts of interesting problems.

My copy works fine :) And in general I like the old GoldStar models.

@@technologywinsYes I liked it, but I later came to appreciate the videotape format more when I got a Hifi VHS recorder. For normal viewing or recording it was sufficient, but recording via Line In from a TV receiver was not always the way to go quality wise, there were many problems with it. The interesting thing about these modern VHS players, which is also true of the Aiwa, as I wrote recently, and this GoldStar/LG, was that they could play LP recordings at reduced quality, but could accommodate the reduced speed.

не хи-фи, не интересно. болта без гайки не бывает, так шо это скревс. бутоны не воркс, а прессед. а поролончик внутри не погнил на авто клеан? шота-эта, на тестовом вбросе кассеты звуки мне не понравились. не, это не друм протектион, это в те годы манечка у них была - экранировать всё от "паразитических" внутренних излучений. и где ты только откопал чехословацкого тома, это же ужас-кошмар-кринж! хехехе

У меня такой же аппарат, нет, поролон не погнил, но все равно демонтировал автоочистку, ибо валик был грязный.
