Any tips for higher ranks bro.... im stuck on Mighty Ruler... and it feels like either everyone knows how to deal with yoshi or everyone's a masher 😔

You shouldnt rely on "shenanigans" to win, if everyone knows yoshi, then be different and surprise them, and also you shouldnt be getting beat by mashers anyways but since yoshimitsu has the 6-8 frame flash you should be able to beat mashers, replay and look at your mistakes and youre gonna see what you did wrong If you want we could spar, im also mighty ruler (jin)

IMO, the best skills as yoshi are being able to feel out what your opponent knows fast, and making them forget about the things they do know Take flash for the most obvious example. Everyone knows to be careful because flash is a powerful anti-aggro tool. It’s usually very obvious fast if they don’t know how to bait flash or counter it. The real skill is learning how to bait people who play AROUND flash. Hold your flash and play like it doesn’t exist until you can feel your opponent becoming too confident or distracted before using it. It’s super general as tip, but I think it’s the thing that took me up past purple, learning how to think that next level up against players who know what to expect from me, and feeling out different ways to bait them into overconfidence
