CORRECT ! Remember they were Supermodels because of their natural God given beauty. Today's models have tons of "filters" to disguise their looks. The 90's models did not. They were actually more beautiful in person , literally. This world is going backwards fast, and it's called LAZINESS !! Sorry, Cindy your a Supermodel your daughter is not, if she wasn't your daughter, she would not be where she's at. She's pretty and no disrespect but let's call it what it is.

Its not the best walk, but its fitting to her personality. She looks cool, mysterious and business like when she walks. Which is kind of how i saw her. She's so smart and gorgeous.

Her walk was her walk . It was not Naomi or Christy but it was sexy Cindy and designers and fashion lovers ate it up !! Her body was so outrageous she was still able to walk for Christian Dior Couture in 1997 this is 12 years into her career . Naomi is the only other super that can say that.

Naomi elevated the catwalk as an art form, but Cindy was the best at she was hired for: modeling. That’s why she was the highest paid of her generation. Her face was on all the magazines, posters and billboards in the 90s.

Claudia was the highest model of the supermodel generation. Cindy’s Revlon contract was $6 mil, Claudia’s was $20 mil. (I always thought that was weird because Cindy was much more of crossover between high fashion, editorial and mass media acceptance)

CIndy wasnt a bad walker, but compared to her peers you could tell runway wasnt her forte. Well it's not like she was hired for her walk. That face alone could compensate for the walk.

I saw all of these models in person back in the day. I was surprised at how small they were. All very pretty but the one that had unbelievable beauty was Brooke Shields. Spectacular actually.

There were probably 15 - 20 women in the late 80s & early 90s who were true Supermodels. We all know of the Fab 5 (or 6) but of that bunch only 3, in my opinion, can really lay claim to the greatest title. Those women are Evangelista, Campbell, and Crawford - all 3 for different reasons. Linda was the ultimate Muse and Chameleon with a 10 million dollar face. She was high-end and untouchable. Naomi was the prize pony, the stallion. Everything that a Model was supposed to do she did exceptionally. A stunning beauty whose walk alone made her iconic she also never quit. Tastes changed, styles changed, models changed but Naomi is ever present. Cindy though, she was the mainstream superstar. Pre 90s most of the big models that crossed over had a sexy and/or girl next door appeal.. or they dated famous men. Cindy had that (and did that) without ever losing her high fashion credentials. No other super became a household name like her, not even the two previously mentioned. She was in the fashion shows and editorials and ad campaigns but also playboy, movies, Pepsi commercials, videos and hosting on MTV - and married to a movie star. I love Turlington and the other Supers both before and during their era but these three can all call themselves the best to ever do it and I don’t think any of them would be wrong.

I remember Cindy in British Vogue August 1988, she was in two stories, one shot by Bailey and one by Donovan, it also had Linda shot by Peter Lindbergh and Kara Young shot by Arthur Elgort, there was something about Cindy that purely magnetic.

Brown and Brunette and does not have the best Catwalk but Cindy was voted the most favorite Supermodel of the 90s and the most money making of her Era . It was a big deal to have a giant Cosmetic Contract for $5M , best selling poster and work out videos , Pepsi , Blockbuster … commercial , MTV host , movie star, ….. that no other Supermodels had achieved like her at that time . Beautiful , hot , sexy, all natural American look Supermodel with Brain .

I think she got a little too muscular for the runway Iater on in her career. When she just started on the runway she was a little less muscular, and I thought it looked better from a “clothes hanger” perspective. But she was always beautiful.

That was what models were trying to aspire once they hit the elite level. It used to be if you're a top tier level, you aim for a cosmetic contract. Cindy got that just to start, and got the most offerings followed by Claudia who emulated Cindy. Cat walks pay handsomely, but Cindy hits grandslam with multiple contracts. One of those contracts would equal the entire season of catwalks and she has multiples.

Cindy was definitely the most "average-looking" of the models, but I say that in a good way, as in shewas the girl next door, approachable and sexy. In fact most people find people with exceptional facial averageness very attractive. Every man wanted this type of woman and every woman wanted to be her.Every model had a niche in that era that was different from another. Cindy, the gorgeous attainable nice girl next door. Linda, empress of the clique, the models a model. Christy, the quiet, studious stunning high fashion beauty. Claudia, the blonde femme fatale bombshell with the heart of gold. Karen, 40s movie star looks a veritable Barbie. Naomi, queen of the catwalk. Yasmeen, body of god, face of an angel. Nadja, ice queen with legs for days. I could go on but you get the point.

Kate Moss always had that child quality while Cindy Crawford was a woman, a real woman. Moss always seems like a teen on the verge of being a woman even after she would be considered a woman. Moss was flat and straight up and down, while Crawford had/has womanly curves.
