Holy crap. I've been binging BTTF reactions recently, and I don't think I've ever seen someone go into part 3 without seeing the teaser for it at the end of part 2. I saw it in the theater and don't regret a second, but you have such a rare opportunity to experience it in an entirely different way. That's so cool.

The whole bit at the end of the first film was kinda a throw-away, since at the time, there were no plans for a sequel. So when it came time to do the second film, the first had established Jennifer had come with Marty to the future...but from a plot standpoint, there really wasn't anything for her to do. So she's just kinda stuck in some scenes here and there. "What's wrong with him?" Because Biff changed the past, he "erased" himself - at least, as that himself. So like Marty at the Under the Sea dance in the first one, he was fading away. I know it looks like Biff is being smart, but he switched the covers not to hide the sports almanac, but to hide what - in 1955 - would be considered a "dirty magazine." Which is why it got confiscated.

13:50 I once had this movie on DVD. There were deleted scenes, including a continuation of _this_ sequence. See the pain Old Biff is feeling? In the deleted scene, the _moment_ the DeLorean disappears back into the past, he _cries out,_ then lies down on the ground and disappears. They cut this scene because it raised more questions than it answered. If you watch it with the commentary track on, they explain that the change in the timeline that Biff introduced, that gave rise to this nightmarish dystopia in 1985, lead to Biff pushing Lorraine to the point where she shoots him and kills him, so in 2015, he doesn't exist anymore.

Just worth noting, the actor who plays Biff, Thomas F. Wilson, is an incredibly sweet guy and has a lot of fun with people's interpretations of the movies. Got to meet him once, very down to earth person with a cool career. I always love it when sweet people get to play fun villains

That said, it is the perfect wrap. 3. The stunt woman that flew into the glass window partially missed and injured her arm. 4. Michael J. Fox also played Marty's daughter. 5. Sammy Hagar, "I can't drive 55"😎 6. Good thing Biff shoots like a Star Wars Stormtrooper🤣 7. The tunnel at the end is the same one they used for Tune Town in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"

2:50 Jennifer seeing the time machine, along with Biff. You were precisely on point about the neighbors seeing. Doc obviously was unconcerned when he arrived and departed. The original ending was never intended to set up a sequel. Sequelitis hadn't quite yet infested Hollywood. 10:50 Yes, that's Michael J. Fox playing Marlene, Marty's daughter. And also, yes, Doc. Brown makes several stupid decisions, including leaving Jennifer unconscious in an alley. 25:50 the pair o'docs: Doc Brown isn't so above it all. Marty's upbringing had to have changed due to the upgrade in George and Lorraine's situation. No longer is Marty terrified that, "Suppose they didn't like it? Suppose they said I was no good." Now, Marty thinks he'll make it big, or at least be rich. And "Nobody calls me chicken!" I like to pretend that the actress change in Jennifer was a product of the change. I wish that the producers had been able to accommodate Claudia Wells's situation with her mother and still have her in the movie. It might have been possible, given Jennifer's limited roll. Even when Jennifer's awake and the viewpoint character at the McFly home, she doesn't do much.

When you asked how did they do the story so well. There is no plot holes. I remembered seeing a talk. The Doc was at a convention and he was saying the producer was very smart. And as he was filming part 2 he was editing part 1. And he was somehow able to keep it all in his head. But I guess he was already working on part 3 before he released part 1.

0:18 Whoever left a comment about the actor playing Jennifer not being in the sequel, congrats! I was actually looking forward to these girls reacting to that in the movie. It's always interesting to see if the reactors notice or not. And for those who don't, it's always interesting to her their take on that in the 3rd movie after they've been informed. But there's that commenter to the rescue. Instead of getting these reactors' reaction/non-reaction to what they see on screen, we get their reaction to a commenters comment. Woo hoo! You know what it's reminiscent of? That disclaimer section before reaction videos when the reactors disclose what they've been spoiled on about a movie, from a meme or from popular culture or from happenstance. One place it should NEVER come from is a commenter in the comment section. Question to that commenter: Why did you feel a need to tell them that beforehand? Were you afraid someone would beat you to the punch in the comment section for BttF 2? What's wrong with letting the reactor watch the movie and letting us viewers see if they notice. And if they do, guess what we're treated to... their REACTION! This is the type of thing that could (and should) wait until after they see/experience it themselves. This may seem to be a minor issue, but to that I ask why did you feel a need to tell them that BEFORE they watched it?

I always wondered how the correct cover got back on the almanac. Also, does anyone notice in this and the first movie that the rain always stops as soon as lightning strikes, wind and all and then starts back up again. Back in the first one when we see all the clocks in the lab, there is one with a man hanging on one of the hands. A little foreshadowing there.

“We already have flying cars, they are called helicopters” -Neil De Grasse Tyson Since time immemorial, when anyone was asked about future tech, they would say “we will have flying cars in the future”, it still holds true even today, so true that it became a popular meme on the internet. Flying cars are seen as the harbinger of the future technology, the pinnacle of transportation technology, it is a beautiful scenario, and airspace in cities filled with flying cars of aerodynamic designs is a picture-perfect visual. It is a staple of any sci-fi movie or video game. In an ideal world, a flying car is a good transportation vehicle; unfortunately, we do not live in an ideal world.

3:07 No, they aren't controlling it. If Doc came back to get Marty in 1985 because of what he saw happened to his future son in 2015, that means that was his second time back to 2015 and he just already knows what was going to happen, including the change in the weather, and anything else he observed the first time...very simple explanation.

Hi, After the first 'Back to the Future' they had plans the make Part 2 & Part 3 'at some time', but Part 1was such a success that they them made Parts 2 & 3 back-to-back in 1989 and 1990 respectively. The filmmakers recreated some scenes from the first movie in order to show the characters interacting with their past selves. This involved careful planning and the use of special effects to seamlessly integrate the new footage with the original scenes. 🙂

@@adaddinsane The joke from the movie under discussion, which shows us a preview of _Jaws 19,_ is that Spielberg really had continued producing _Jaws_ movies, with the last one released just before _BttF2,_ and the presumption that those movies would continue being made up till 2015, when _BttF2_ is set. People don't just do one thing and die. People continue doing stuff over time. For years. We do have 5 _Indiana Jones_ movies, only 2 of them are particularly good but they keep making them. There are four movies in the official _Jaws_ franchise, and the final _Jaws_ movie, _Jaws 4: The Revenge,_ was released in 1987, and a very unofficial sequel _Cruel Jaws_ was released in 1995. Preproduction on _Jurassic Park_ started in 1989 with Spielberg taking the helm in 1990, only three years after the release of the final _Jaws_ movie. The joke is that Spielberg would have gone on producing _Jaws_ movies up till 2015, with _Jaws 19: This Time It's REALLY, REALLY Personal_ being fictitiously directed by Spielberg's real life son: Max. It's a joke about movie studios pumping out unnecessary sequels in a movie that is, itself, an unnecessary sequel, and that also picks on Hollywood nepotism. Get it? Funny stuff? Humor that has to do with reality and predicting the future in a farcical way? Laughy thingies based on pointless real-world stuff? Ya know?

21:21 The snub-nose .38 has ZERO accuracy after 10 feet. After 20 feet, you may as well be shooting behind you for all you'll hit by aiming. Being 12 feet or more away from Biff is the safest thing Marty can do, however, because the gun is so inaccurate, a loose slug could kill or injur anyone on a lower floor in another building, or on the ground, so keeping Biff from firing at all is a humanitarian act more than it is self-defense. But know: if you ever get a snub-nose .38 or .45 pulled on you, you are safe and only have to get away from the crazy idiot threatening you before they hurt themself.

The actor who played the father was replaced because he didn't like how the ending of the first film made it look like money brought happiness rather than their love. I mean they kinda made his father look like he swapped places with Biff. So the actor playing the father is wearing a mold of his face. haha The actress playing his girlfriend was replaced because she decided to care for her mother who was dying of cancer. Coulda made a lot of money but she doesn't regret it. It's also supposed to be 2015..still no flying cars yet but it is interesting how these films actually did alter the future by trying to predict the future.

I was a bit disappointed they didn't do more with Jennifer in Pt 2, then I found out they never planned a sequel and there was a dispute with Crispin Glover, (George McFly in the first movie). So these films were made to cash in on the success of the first. Things like leaving Jennifer in the street, rather than leaving her in the car was nonsensical. Also there was like a year between the release of Pt 2 and Pt 3. A lot of people were pissed! Still fun movies, but never the greatest films of all time, though I suppose if you only watch mainstream films it can seem that way.

Fun fact: the alternate reality that Biff created and his whole public persona in the film once he gets famous is almost entirely modeled on 1980s Donald Trump.

22:09 The Reason they had Marty and Doc. Running back and forth, which actually started in the first movie- Is because Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd are so different in height that they had a hard time fitting them together on screen, so they decided them running in opposite directions towards and away from the camera to keep them in frame together!

This film got so much hate when it came out (imagine what it would've been like in the internet age) and I remember loving it and the way it tied back into the behind the scenes parts of the 1st film. Never got how anyone could prefer 3 to 2. That's not to say I don't like 3 at all, but it just isn't as good as either of the previous films. I think you were smart missing the trailer for part 3. I remember that when I saw it it actually took away some of the high I got from the film I had just watched.

I don't know why there are no police in Hill Valley, but I think it was in the BTTF Telltale game or in the original script of the movie that Biff's father was a mafia member in the 1930's and that kind of explains why he is the way he is.

One explanation for Old Biff dying when he returns is that sometime between 1985 and 2015, Lorraine finally snapped and killed Middle Aged Biff. Old Biff returned to a future where he was dead, and that caught up with him a few minutes later. Elizabeth Shue was also in Adventures in Babysitting. In that movie we get to see the real Thor, not the Australian wannabe. They wanted Marty to have a character flaw they could exploit for drama. So they added the chicken thing which wasn't in the first.

The main differences being that Biff is from California instead of New York, and though his father had made a lot of money from criminal activity, his parents abandoned him to his grandmother Gertrude, so he didn’t grow up rich.

Hello, you cuties! I’m so glad you continued watching this amazing trilogy. I didn’t forget about my promise to show you something cute after you react to part 2. There are two clips, short, but definitely worth watching. This one was filmed a few days prior to October 21st 2015: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fs2bq5x7prWyXX0.html … and this one right on October 21st 2015: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h5aGerWdqrDJp3U.html Just watch them and enjoy. I’m sure you’ll like them both - they show what an awesome movie Back To The Future is and why they got to call it “THE trilogy”. When you’ll get to watch part 3, you’ll see how perfectly these movies wrap up. As for time travel stuff, you should do a little research on the "Mandela effect” (if you are not familiar with the topic yet). Looking forward to your next reaction. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Salutations from Romania …

BTTF 2 is the one I like the least. They went into the future and its not that good and then back to 1955 which we already saw. But it gives way to BTTF 3 which closes the trilogy perfectly.

i think number 2 was much more popular, perhaps even most peoples favorite, back in the 90s. but after passing 2015 the world presented seems a little silly instead of futuristic, and i think that might have something to do with it generally being the least favorite among new watchers
@webspec

@@user-im2ex9zw6j I agree with the premise however I watched them when they were originally out (well a little later as they permeated into public tv). I remember liking initially 2 the most because of its futuristic setting but as I watched them over and over again, I came to rank them 1-3-2, even back then. A friend gave me the trilogy in Blu Ray as secret santa back in 2010 and it had a copy of the almanac (with games results!!!), the picture from 1885 at the clock tower and even the pamphlet for the broken clock tower and amazingly turning it over had Jen´s phone along with the 'I love you' message. It was a great gift and I cherish the trilogy as a whole. From 2 I love Mr. Fusion, the flying machine, and even the clothing they had in the future. But when doing a marathon, I always feel I can skip 2 without feeling much remorse XD.

It's amazing that people leave spoilers, in the comments, but when it comes to seeing parts of the movie that the director Wants people to see those Exact same people leave comments telling them not to watch them. As Reactors they need to see it the Same way everyonesaw it, back then, and not have idiots doing armchair directing and telling others to watch it in a manner that is non congruent from the way the World got to see it...there's no point to watching their reactions, if their reactions are tainted by such idiotic directions. Meaning they just lost a massive audience for their reaction to part 3.
