If you think about it, Marty changed the timeline in 1955 when he had to make his parents get together because when he returns to 1985 they're more successful and clearly richer than before he left. If we're following the rules, he changed his timeline like Biff and arrived in a new, alternative 1985. So yeah, new timeline, different girlfriend. But they didn't catch that or didn't want to make her seem interchangeable 😅

Also to add to the facts. Not did they only use Crispin's face mold, they also used recordings of him speaking from the first movie. Using either direct movie words or making adjustments to the voice for whatever words they needed but didn't have. That's how far they went.

Not trying to say the info on this video is wrong, but Crispin Glover wasn't mad about getting less money. In an interview back in 2013-2014 he mentioned that it was because of a difference of opinion in the script and a fall out that caused him to not be in the second movie. The lawsuit was because they used his face mold without his permission. Producer Bob Gale lied about Crispin asking for more money which is not true in the new Blue Rays that came out. He still talks about it whenever interviewers bring it up clearing his name. He explains it here on this interview at the 2:29 minute mark: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ndOletx5x5rNeHk.html
@Charlesperalo
@Charlesperalo Жыл бұрын
So he said that decades later, but when asked in the 90s, he blamed the money and the producer said it was over money. I know he said it was story, but he complained about two really small things. 1. Marty getting a new car at the end of the first movie as a victory. 2. The girlfriend having a small role. But that second complaint makes no sense, because he was out before the script was finalized. The car thing is also a real nitpick. I think he just blamed the story to feel better later on and it’s kind of petty.
@majorlazor5058
@majorlazor5058 Жыл бұрын
I’ve always heard it was script related. Crisper Glover is a guy who never really came across as overly concerned with money. He is very choosy about his roles. But if he was being paid half as much as his co-stars I think he had a legit gripe to sue over that.

It wasn't about the money. They used his face mold without his permission (which set precedent laws for deep fakes even before the tech was invented) . That's why in bttf 2 his character was inverted upside down saying "it was for his back" but in reality, they used Crispin's face but it didn't look right so they inverted the actor upside down to try and hide the flaws.

@Shakes-Off-Fear
@Shakes-Off-Fear 10 ай бұрын
Okay, the reason why Glover sued was because they used stock footage of him from the first film without paying him any extra royalties. Weismann played George in 2015 and 1985 (where they used prosthetics to ‘age’ him and sunglasses and turning him upside down to further hide it) and in the 1955 scenes, his face was always away from the camera.

Was Jennifer really supposed to be a main character? I heard they weren't actually planning to make a second movie and the ending of the first movie with the "to be continued" was intended to be a joke, but fans took it seriously and expected a sequel, so begrudgingly, they made a second one and had to start it where the first one ended. They said they wouldn't have set the sequel up this way if a sequel had actually been planned because they wouldn't have taken Jennifer to the future then since she wasn't important to the story

As a kid, I knew it was an entirely different actor during the scenes with old man George McFly hovering upside down in 2015. It was as clear as day. But in the 1955 scenes and even his very short appearance at the end of Part 3, I always thought that was Crispin Glover. As long as it’s from a distance or he’s wearing sunglasses with minimal to no dialogue, you couldn’t tell the difference.

Crispin Glover was a phoney. He wanted $1 Million for the role and the studio wouldn't pay it. So he refused the role, later claiming he was upset because the movie had "bad values" and favored money over true happiness. What a crock.
