Back Windows for a Ram Promaster | Basic Installation

This is the basic installation guide to installing two back windows on the two back swinging doors of a 2019 ram promaster van.
Katie Dawson ordered them from:

It did take 4 months for the windows to come in. That’s why it was one of the last things I installed. I did install a third window on the sliding door. Link is below:

Tools:
Scissors
Pencil
Sharpie
Scotch tape
Jig saw
Metal cutting blades - medium size
Acetone
Drill and bits
Metal filer
White primer to prevent rust
Katie Dawson did order the exterior flange seal and from motion windows. It’s the foam that seals the windows.

Oh my goodness! You're a natural DIY installer, videographer and you are making it look too damn easy and now everyone is going to install their own windows the "correct" way. Well done Katie!! Jacoby springs have beautiful brand of yours hope it's perfect for you to drive in the road this is what I do you see the fall is how beautiful the mountains and keep you so nice and warm too you want to get a heat pad it looks like a blanket that will keep you nice and warm

The windows look fantastic! I installed solid ones a few years ago (I wish I had sliders like yours). Making that first cut sure was nerve wrecking. 😵‍💫 Be sure to do an impeccable job of cleaning up the metal shavings at the base of the door frame. They don't look like much now, but they stick to everything and with a little moisture they'll leave little rust stains everywhere. Vacuum, brush then vacuum again and if you have an air compressor blow out the corners and vacuum again!

Good job Katie ! I worked at a Van Conversion Shop after Highschool and I couldn't have done it any better ! One trick is put tape on the base of your saw, saves a little time and tape. ✌️💙🎵 From STL MO

I think I would have started with the tape on the bottom. That way if there were a slight leak in the joint it would be on the bottom where it would leak out instead of in.

I have glass stationary rear windows. Can i take them out and replace with sliding?

Depends on the size of your hole. If it’s too big for the new sliding windows, I don’t think so. But it’s smaller than the whole you need for the new windows, then yes!

The windows cost about $1251. But that’s two back windows and one sliding door window. With the foam.

No you should have done too when a little AC is tired when they want to get too hot out there you got it ready so you could be a pair when you're driving the road sometimes get too hot you need AC so you can be ready for anything

@@KDcustomVans I believe he meant to put in those small AC units in each place instead of windows. Or perhaps one unit, not sure lol, but definitely an AC unit in one of the slots. Which makes sense if you don't have the roof unit. Or factory AC in the vehicle. Anyway lol I hope I helped translate.
