Jay understands about the bulking too as he used to get fat as fuck sometimes in the off season. I think realistically when Eddie build new muscle from high reps he will come down to 280lbs stage weight. I think Eddie is underestimating how much fat he has and also crazy amounts of water. I mean at my biggest bulk I was 225lbs cut down to 197lbs at 7% body fat so probably would of been 190lbs stage ready.

This video was amazingly educational and Jay laid out the differences and mindset between bodybuilding and powerlifting….. my favourite was when he spoke about the pump…. A good workout isn’t how much weight you’re lifting….. but how good of a pump you achieved during your workout! Amazing stuff…. I think Eddie had a little bit of an awakening

Its going to take a lot for eddie to shift his mindset from strength to hypertrophy. Jay was spot on when he was trying to limit the amount of weight eddie was lifitng. And the fact eddie is going to gain more weight shows hes still no better than a begginer when it comes to growing muscle. Even Jay was shocked.

Eddie doesn’t need to bulk up… he is plenty big, he is 375 lbs on a 6’2” frame. He needs to drop weight and the musculature will begin to pop.

i like this new journey Eddie is on. But i wish he would implement what someone like JC tells him. It still looked like Eddie was in "move the heavy weight quickly" mode much of the time, instead of move the lighter weight more slowly in a more difficult manner to exhaust the muscle. For instance, he wasn't moving the weight forward on the bent over dumbbell row like Jay said. Eddie's power and mindset are actually a slight hindrance at times. Still great content though.

theres nothing to learn, nothing jay is saying is groundbreaking or even interesting, and i dont understand why eddie is pretending he doesnt know that bodybuilding is about higher reps, shorter rest periods, lots of volume and mind muscle connection. add that to god like genetics and a boat load of gear and youve got a mr olympia.

I've been involved in bodybuilding and powerlifting for 51 years, managed gyms, and met and talked with many of the greats. Trust me when I say there is nothing new here to be learned, it's all just the same recycled exercises and techniques that have been around since the dawn of time.
