I hope to see more mass wyvern fast tech getting punished like in G1 rather than DK+lich+alch in late game. Perhaps the infamous 9 minutes timing against NElf could also be theoretically used against the strat as well

1:10:48 this is exactly what I think of current patch. The balance is perfect, just work hard and you're going to be in top-3 whatever race you play. This chase for Happy made some players work as hard as they never had before, this is why Romantic (a very modest HU player just a few years ago) became so good. It's like in that song - you always knew that you'd be the one that work while they all play. THose who play have nothing against top-3 now, because Lyn, Happy and Fortitude are obsessed with the idea of improvement. If wc3 was more popular these days, if Blizzard had not failed with reforged - i'd say we were in golden era of wc3 pro scene right now. Which might end with the upcoming patch though. They want to see patch-elves era once again.

Grubby mentioned that there is currently a recency bias with how strong wyverns are, and it is only about time that Happy will solve it. Seems like he wasn't very far from the truth :)

Cant beleive how bad lyns macro was on lost temple. Not he didnt even see 2 expos for the entire game - he also let happy after winning the core Fight with 2 lvl 5 heros rebuilt and letting him alone for so Long happy could take the Last creep spots and getting lvl 5 either while didnt do almost anything himself. Was a Gift. He didnt deserve to win a single game. In a later game he run arround the map for like 5 minutes with 20 supply plus without attacking or building a expo. No hes thinking if I wait long enough he will catch up - lyn doesnt realize his timings in many games. Well thats maybe more difficult and more a thing just happy can handle. Btw for the nerf idea of shades - specially orc got the perfect counter with witchdoctors.

basically the way Lyn throw series is just by laziness, poor scouting, insta leaves after equal battles, doesn't want to play tempo. Winning a tournament and chilling on showmatches. And never buy dusts... zero fx given about the game

See, Happy fan(boys)? No need to whine about balance. Happy made some tiny adjustments, and he is now back to being completely invincible again. I said it before that this mass wyvern strat is really bad, because FS is not really competitive Vs high-level UD heroes, and mass wyvern cannot really compete Vs high-level Lich with Orb of Corruption + Acid Bomb. So it's a very tempo based strat that is not really sustainable. If you can't close the game in 10 minutes, it's over. The sad part is that Lyn and other Orcs will need to play the mass wyvern strat again, because there really is no alternative. Lyn tried 10 different builds involving head hunters, grunts + bats, Spirit Walkers, grunt/raider/walker, 2 Rax straight HH, wyvern + kodo + HH, even taurens, before settling for the mass wyvern build. You can't blame Lyn for not trying everything that he possibly could in this matchup, because he has(and then some). This was horrible to watch. Not even a back-and-forth. Just one player getting stomped over and over again no matter what he tried to do.

Who knew the counter to mass wyvern was ghoul destro, just unironically more ghouls instead of destro. Less free xp for orc heroes from destros dying, more pressure on them from ghouls, while UD heroes singlehandedly shit on the entire wyvern army. Interesting.

Both amazing players but this just doesnt look fair at all for orc...from an observers point of view. I dont feel like lyn made any huge mistakes really to signify a 0-5 result. Somehow und workers are the choice couter to tier 3 wyvern. The tri hero just single handedly destroy the orc air army from across the map with spells. It doesnt make sense to me. Damn this was hard to watch. Edit: But i guess at least its not another fortitude happy showmatch.
