Ive been doing Roadtrain work for a long time now and we back as well on the landfill but always wanted to tackle a truck and dog, It's great the way you did this video, makes it easy to see what your doing.

Great job in a confined space. I am one minute old when it comes to doing this. I have the principles, now just have to practice. We have to realise we weren’t all born truck and dog drivers.

I have been driving semi's and truck/trailer for years.. I just started with Mad Bros, with a truck,dog and its totally alien.. so different, but I just picked up some tips from you, dumping the air was a good one, and leaving the body raised to see is great idea.. better vision

You make this look so easy im 25 years old just got my trailer license i glt the going back in a straight line and some angles ones alright but in the real world most sites are like these not much room to play with cant wait till i get the hang of jack knifing

Keep at it mate, when you spin it around once you'll get the hang of it. Just don't crunch the drawbar, you don't have to push the drawbar into the mudflaps to tip the truck off. best vid I've watched for learning, so do you basically concentrate on steering the dolly to where you want to tip, then swing it out of the way at the last moment.

Nice job driver People say it looks easy that's because it is when you have been doing it as long as we have it just becomes second nature aye What I do sometimes if I don't want to get out to clear my drawbar I put truck hoist up but don't trip tail door until there's a bit of weight on it and the load is starting to move then wooosh the load goes straight past the drawbar and I pull forward at the same time so with good timing you end up with a nice load clear of t/t and out the gate u go and if u r getting paid by the m3 or ton rate at the end of the day you can get one more load in Just little tricks like that can help sometimes lol Keep up the good work driver

Skippy 1968 i use that trick myself sometimes when i give a crap. Hour rate and just a number now. So i just do what all the other monkeys do most of the time. But every now and again i pull out all the tricks just to prove to myself that i still got it.😃

Same hourly and a number too. Most yards I go to now are to small and have to drop the trailer but every now and then I still do it to amaze meself and some onlookers!!!

In Michigan we call that set up a short double, difference is our drawbars are really short and once the pup is dumped out we got to break down the coupling and dump the lead.just like you though the drivers that have been driving forever can go as good backwards as forward

Pretty obvious from the thumbnail that it's a dog trailer. Yes probably should have said 'quad dog', but living 5000ks from an actual quad set of trailers it wasn't in the forefront of my thoughts. Cheers.

Top job there fella can do that blindfolded after 10yrs of it and its always good fun. Be cautious though what ya put up here. We had a bloke in Vic nearly get fired for videos having the bodies up a little while moving around a plant a couple of years ago. (Against Hanson policy apparently).

Quad dog mate. Pretty much our longest 4 axle (PBS spec') dog trailer tipper.

Dumping your airbags is how you end up with holes in them. They will only inflate as much as your ride hight allows.

That's not correct with this suspension set up Leigh. It is a shit z spring/airbag combo with a ride height valve that does not react quick enough. The air pressure in the bags goes through the roof once the load is spat out, so much so that it tries to tear the shocks off the mounts. I'm sure if the shocks weren't there it would end up looking like a funny car dragster. I drove this 5 days a week for 7 years averaging 6-7 loads a day, it created problems if the bags weren't dropped. Cheers.

@@dazool7128 then there was a major problem with the ride height valve then. I worked for Hamelex/White for 3 yrs in fit out. It's not recommended that you do this because a loaded body will drop extremely quickly putting extended pressure on your ride height valve & also run the risk of pinching a bag thus ending up with a hole in it. Most manufacturers (Kenworth, Western Star, Volvo, Mercedes, etc) have a release valve within the ride height. This valve is to release the pressure of the bags stopping them from inflating any further . Your problem is it's a Mack & once there sold Brand new they couldn't care less what your truck is like or what problems it may have.

@@leighsaunders3278 you do realies all bags have a rubber block in them to prevent excessive drop. If you drop it by remote it wont dump all the air at once

@@nickwhite6717 yes but if you have little rocks sitting where air bag seats when it’s deflated you can puncture them. You could just tip the load a bit slower to allow the valves to keep up.

I don't know where you're from mate, but two axles on the front and two on the back of a tipper is a quad, two on the front and three on the rear is a quin. If it was a float (low bed, drop deck, machine hauler whatever) with four axles on the back it too would be called a quad.
