Yet nobody ever said a word. Everything she is saying may be completely true, but again is there any real proof? He was dead so he could not defend himself. He apparently never touched any if his other children. If this happened I cannot begin to imagine how much pain she is in, and how sick this likely also makes her physically. I just feel we should not be judging on the word of one person, when the accused is not here to defend themselves. I often wonder did she offer to take a liar detector test? If so educate me. Because there may very well be things I missed about this story.

Why go public? Because there is nothing more insulting and hurtful than when your abuser is being praised for being this perfect human being when he is not. They are all public figures, so it only makes sense to expose him publicly. My mom's psychologist told her to tell the truth about my father everytime someone asked her about why their marriage ended, because lying would only keep a weight on her shoulders while she still covered up the monster my dad was. And so I think it's the natural step in the healing process, to call out your monster and let the chips fall where they may.

John Phillips' selfish behaviour began in (around) 1960 when he kept abandoning his wife and two children to be in folk bands. He moved them all to San Francisco, within a few months he left his wife for a 16 year old and sent his whole family packing. It was down hill from then I think.

This has been known about for years. And it is so disgusting how any parent can take advantage of their own children and do something so horrid to them. And Mackenzie has talked about before not just the rape/incest with her father, but that he is the reason she began using drugs (I would think going through something like that would drive a person to drugs or alcohol) but what she's said is that her dad is the one that shot her up with heroin her first time. What the hell kind of parent does that? Also when she was 18, there was a party and her father had left to go to store and left her and Mick jagger and when John left, jagger locked the door and said I've been waiting for this since you were 10 years old, and then had sex with her. WTF?! Ok she may have been 18 then but who the fuck dreams of having sex with a 10 year old? Sick!

I am surprised that nobody had mentioned that John Phillips is not here to defend himself and that it is rather ironic that this all comes out after she writes a tell all book. If this happened in the 80's, why wait 20 years to announce this. She also did mention that it became consensual. At that age, SHE knew better. I don't really see her as a victim the way everyone else does.
@EmpressOfWyoming589 жыл бұрын
Alisha Allen She was 19, she says, when the first thing took place and that both of them were blitzed on drugs. So, why she calls it a rape, is beyond logic. It all looks consensual. They were both adults. Why drag herself and her dead father through the mud this way? Anyone who genuinely was molested knows that if you tell certain people, it will horrify them and you will forever be viewed as damaged goods. There is nothing cathartic about telling the whole world that you were molested, when you were a child or underage teen. These two people were both over 18, so all it comes out to be is the dirty laundry of drugged out, public life. Incest is the subject of jokes. People do not look kindly on those who engage in it.
@EmpressOfWyoming589 жыл бұрын
***** Where up there did I say anything even remotely like she grew up in the Brady Bunch household? I didn't. Yes, she had a hippie childhood, but her father did not molest her as a child. They entered into an affair when she was an adult and both were smashed on heroin. She cannot promote this like she was a little kid or minor teenager who did not know any better. John and his daughter both have culpability in this affair. As I mentioned up there somewhere, the Boston Marathon bomber had a crummy childhood, too, but his childhood and only being 19 when he participated in the bombing, neither excuse him from his decision to carry out the bombing.

Hard to believe that an adult married woman would have let that happen, for such a long period of time. Even harder to believe that she never told anyone about it, until years later. It's more likely that a lifetime drug addict needed money, wrote a tell all book, and decided to spice it up, and drive sales with allegations that couldn't be challenged, because John was long dead.
