Never would I think the minesweeper mechanic would make a come back in a fun looking game. Good job.

So, the asteroid field is actully probably the easiest layout if you get the energy scanner. It's a really cool active item that costs 5 to toggle on and make it constantly reveal all 1s on the board, which basically solves the board in asteroids. Edit: also, you can find mining drills which let you click more than one tile per turn.

Omg, reverse minesweeper is a concept alone that I find fascinating. I am definitely getting this. If I never have time to play, I'd at least like to support the dev for unique and interesting ideas.

Steam demo worked fine in fullscreen for me. I just pressed the traditional ALT+Enter to get fullscreen.

an interesting way to prevent stalling would be when there is one enemy left it would be cool if they entered "overdrive" which would cause the enemy to take %hp damage every turn and gain better damage every turn, excluding bosses overall the game seems super cool and definitely could play around with the "backpack" a bit more

unfortunately for this game I don't know how they're gonna balance it. It costs nothing to stockpile energy. in between waves, there is no punishment for stalling. Often you can just heal off of intermission waves. Healing or barrier generating waves are even more free as you have saved energy nuke the damage dealer and can freely infinite stack health and energy from there with again no punishment. It's like its not crazy but unless you have to win in a limited amount of waves or progressing past a certain amount of waves damages you or some other anti stall method is incurred every game will be winnable even with base gear..

very solid concept though as I enjoyed my runs it was just way to easy to break in which I skipped the minesweeper elements entirely due to lack of punishment

Just do it like in Darkest dungeon where stalling calls reinforcements for the enemies. Also have ships slide into the battle after a set number of turns after a spot has been opened.
