Күн бұрынIn Jan/Feb 2023, I hosted my very own Dive and Adventure Retreat in Thailand for the very first time and it was a huge success! We had 22 guests fly into Bangkok where we then took the sleeper train down to Southern Thailand. We spent 4 days diving in Koh Tao, some guests receiving their Open Water certification, some guests getting their Advanced Open Water certification and some guests fun diving. We then saw whale sharks at the iconic dive site: Sail Rock. And we made our way straight across to Koh Phangan where we explored and attended the Full Moon Party. We then finished the trip in Khao Sok National Park spending the night in floating bungalows.

Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

Can I congratulate you on one of your best vlogs ever. I am nearly in my 80's so my backpacking and diving adventures are now way beyond me, but I really enjoyed seeing all the young people having a great time and getting on so well together. You obviously have a talent for organisation as proven by all the different things you had arranged and everyone seemed to have a good time. Best wishes for all you do in the future.

I was fortunate to swim with Whale Sharks in Mexico a couple years ago. Videos, photos...just don't do them justice. The beasts are awesome to behold up close. As a human, you've got to experience them in person.

This is fantastic!!! I'm watching this with wander lust and remembering last year when I got my Open Water at Koh Tao thanks to your suggestion. I have my open water and been diving a few more times but I'm such an anxious diver, it's a massive struggle. This video made me want to not give up and try again!! And so happy you got to see the whale shark at last!!!

We did a double boat dive@ sail rock in mid February. We went from Koh Samui. Looks like you got lucky with the visibility, it was only around 4-5m when we did it due to stormy weather. Loved doing the chimney stack! Looking at doing some diving at Koh Tao in the future.

You can get your certification in Thailand! And actually, it’s a great place to learn because it’s warm, beautiful and cheap!

It was Aqualung but it never worked 😭😭 even went to get the battery replaced and it just never turned on so I’m in the market for a new dive computer

Earn some money, you'll need it!

Working where you can and saving your money is the first step. While you save, think about the places you want to go and the things you want to do. If you're okay with staying in hostels or other cheap accommodations in countries that are not typically super expensive, your money will go along way. Most of the places Christianne travels have accommodations that are maybe $10 a night, and food/transport that are similarly cheap. Once you decide you're traveling for the experience and not for luxury, you open yourself up for a truly unique experience and allow yourself to see more of a country/area. Depending on your circumstances, deciding you will cut back on simple luxuries in your day to day life will also help you save more quickly. Best of luck to you!
