If not for sleeping in a hammock. My hiking days may have been over. With the fabric conforming around your body, with no pressure points. I always get a great night of sleep. And ready to hike the next day.

Awesome gear choices! I have the same hammock, hex tarp, headlamp and backpack. Great minds think alike. Love them and you will be happy. The hammock is really nice. I love mine. I normally lay with my head to the left but had no issues to the right. I have the hex tarp but at 11 foot. I’m thinking I should have gotten the 12 foot since it doesn’t have the doors. I’ll have to measure my quilted hammock they sent me. I thought it was 11 foot. If it’s 10 I was very comfortable and maybe I can start getting shorter hammocks and save weight. Good luck with your ultralight journey. Your body will thank you at the end of a long hiking day. Outstanding video Ron!

When I received this hammock. I grab my pack. And did this overnighter. I assumed by looking at it. And not measuring it. But only weighing it. That it was a 10 ft. hammock. I was wrong. It is a 11 ft hammock. You know what they say when you assume. In this case. The ass was only me. That's what I get for assuming! Thank you guys for watching. Very much appreciated.

Nice video. What an interesting hammock. For a long time I have been trying to figure out that asymmetrical lay that people are talking about. The Chameleon with the built in quilt makes it quite clear how that works. I have been looking a while and finally bought the Crua Koala Maxx set (it was on sale). It just arrived this week and I imagine it will be fun times trying to figure that out. Hoping to make some of the hangs around Wisconsin/midwest. God bless. I am so happy I found your channel. @@AdventureswiththeMarine Yeah, you got a good show there. I like your sense of humor. Guess what I did last week..sewed my first hammock. Bought 16 meters of 70D Ripstop Nylon, Amsteel etc. I made a 12' double layer hammock, with an opening to slide in sleeping pads. I weigh 100 kg and I wanted a stiffer lay, so two 70D (!) layers without any stretch,. It's great. Feels like laying in one of those hibernation tanks you see in sci-fi movies. Could lay there for years on end. Great for my back. I named it "the Hibernator" Have a great weekend. God bless.

Thanks for the adventure into ultra lite. It seems that your shoulders were edging out. Did you feel that you were pushing the temperature envelop??? How is the bugnet pole held in place? But I still love my BB XLC from Warbonnet. Thx again, T
