Backstrap Weaving Basic

I would like to show how I weave using a simple backstrap weaving.
This 12” wide Backstrap weaving loom was made using ½” & ¾ Oak dowels and pine lattice, a recycled fabric and a rope.
For the purpose of easy viewing, I am going weave a narrow and short weaving using the thick cotton yarn for the warp and the weft, which I dyed back in the ’80s.
Preparing the warp (00:18)
Marking the cross with a loop (01:35)
Tying 4 ties securing the cross (01:56)
Installing the lease sticks and the temporary warp bars without the supporting ties. (02:28)
Dressing loom (04:01)
Organizing the warp yarns (04:25)
Installing the Warp Bar (05:23)
Rotate the warp (07:21)
Organizing the warp yarns (07:34)
Installing the other Warp Bar (07:58)
Re-tying the end of warp yarns (10:20)
Preparing the Heddle Sticks (11:07)
Installing the shed stick (13:33)
Weaving a heading (14:36)
Turning the warp upside down (16:21)
Repositioning the Shed stick (16:46)
Weaving a heading (18:12)
Starting weaving (19:50)
Securing the lease sticks with rubber bands (21:10)
Changing the weft to a different yarn (22:28)
Removing the additional lease stick (24:28)
Winding the woven fabric (24:44)
Changing the weft to a different yarn (25:24)
Weaving in the warp end (28:30)
Unwinding the heddle sticks (28:55)
Removing the shed stick (29:28)
Removing the warp bars (29:35)
