Backyard Basketball from 2003 is still fun! Let's relive some memories in this 20+ year old game! We play on the Nintendo gamecube featuring everyone's favorite Pablo Sanchez! You can also play as iconic NBA players! It might not be as good as the PC version, but I still have a lot of fun!

How I got Backyard Basketball to emulate properly is by getting a virtual machine and installing Windows XP and installing the ISO through that, there are wonderful tutorials out there to installing the OS on Virtual Machine but that's how I managed to get both Backyard Basketball and Backyard Football to work on my modern computer. @@MrSkerpentine ScummVM sometimes doesn't work for some of the Backyard Sports games. Backyard Baseball 2003 has some problems with crashing and Backyard Football 2002 is unplayable in some aspects.

I remember when my friend and I were five years old and we just couldn’t figure this game out at a birthday party. When someone asked how to play, my friend said “they just play themselves.” The Gym Rats were winning that game 161-65 in the third quarter but we had to stop to go get cake and ice cream. Fun times.

I have the disc version of this game from 2004 and it works fine on modern hardware. Same with Backyard Hockey and Backyard Skateboarding

In the original backyard basketball 3 point range was just anywhere behind the 3 point line, so I would shoot full court 3s the whole game and win

Yao Ming was practically a cheat code in this game. He could shoot from half court, and he was so tall you could goaltend opposing shots since there were no goaltending violations. Everytime the opposing team inbounded the ball, I would steal it from them.

I use power iso to emulate old disk pc games. It creates a "disk drive" and can load the roms. I play bybb 2001 using that

You shouldn't have problems running the game. I installed it fine. You can trying running a virtual machine that has windows XP and it should definitely play for you.
