Man... Thanks a lot bro. Your video saved me 1.5 hours worth of reading on transformation, transduction, and conjugation for a quiz I have tomorrow. Although the only thing hard about following up with you was probably ur accent, XD. I know I had that accent too but I lost it once I came to America. I can't believe the American Influence makes it real hard to comprehend because we pronounce words two different ways. Anyways, great video. One improvement you could make is improve the vid quality? It doesnt render to 1080p, not sure why. But other than that. great vid

Thanks for sharing. I have questions about the pinching out process of Hfr starin. For my opinion, Hfr/F- cannot lead to F+, as only part of the plasmid was incroporated into the chromosome of F-, and form Hfr strain. If this part of genome was pinched out, it only possibly form a smaller plasmid, which is different from F plasmid, am I right? Wating for your response!

I have a question Shomu Da, you said that the conjugation tube might be broken and not the entire F plasmid is transferred into the recipient cell, only a part is transferred and hence only that part can H recombine with the genome. While pinching off how can the entire F plasmid pinch off considering it was not the entire plasmid that entered into the cell while transfer. How can we call it a F + cell if it never had the entire F plasmid first and foremostly. If you could help..

What does it mean for genes if they transfer from chromosome to a plasmid? Does the phenotype stay the same? For example, if a gene for lactose, lets say, or resitance inserts itself into a plasmid, does the bacteria still produce lactose/ is resistant to an antibiotic?
