These new scenes are really good! I like that some parts reference the original full version but all of the SA cast is so well done, especially Okuu's part. Everyone else's after that were just as amazing. If anyone ever did a "sequel" with all of the new characters it should be you!

I legit lost it on the transition from Nazrin to Byakuren, that was so expertly made!

The extended part of this is definitely more fitting to the original MV than the one shown at concerts. Creative and smooth transitions between what the characters are doing instead of just a slideshow of them dancing. Glad KZfaq showed me this, good shit. 👍 Oh and I'll definitely be needing a blanket because of that Satori/Koishi transition 🥶🥶🥶

I have a good(ish) idea for how to transition from futo to tojiko, have futo throw a plate and it break into shards and when the shard looks like a lightning bolt have tojiko come down with sone lightning

Seeing this entire animation, I felt like that there’d be a bit more to the transitions, but for what it’s worth, it’s still a great continuation. For the transition from the Watatsukis to Satori, instead of a focus on the moon, zoom towards the dead center as you move the camera down, using the space between the Watatsukis as a starting point for you to “fall down a cave” into Chireiden. I think, personally, that the lampposts in Byakuren’s part are a bit too distracting and make her really cluttered. And I’m sure there’s a lot of suggestions for the Ten Desires gang, especially in the transitions after Mamizou. But overall, great work!

The Komeji sisters transition was a pretty clever one i must say, great work overall!

Oh god, this extended version was so stunning, especially the scenes of the SA cast!! It's incredible seeing more of what I am so used to by now. I feel like it didn't really show off the character of a lot of them though, or might give the wrong impression of the character (for example, Byakuren's defining characteristic isn't her being a motorcyclist, it's that she brings youkai together, or Miko's isn't her sword it's... taoism ig?) Miko's scene could've been contrasted against Byakuren to show their rivalry as religious leaders as an example

my only criticisms are the low polygon models (watasuki sisters and such) and lack of "life" in some of the scenes (like the ustuho scene, the wing flapping could've been done better) other than that, amazing job, mate.👍

I talked to someone who helped anira with the original animation and it turns out that anira doesn't allow any modifications of the animation. Why did anira not say so in the nicovideo description though? and the real extended version from the concerts was from another animator with anira's permission

Not a fan of interpolation used on the original for this video The original 30fps is very smooth already. Also there is an official 720p version released in 2015 with pump it up prime. Its scaled up from the original video master (talked to anira's friend to confirm) and has way less artifacts than the nicovideo upload. There is also Minoshima's 1080p upscale based on the original video master but is very slightly cropped and the contrast is messed with. I also have a 100% accurate shortened version of the lossless audio i made, i could share it.

Unpopular opinion: This version feels unnecessary. I don’t like it not because the new animations themselves are bad. It’s just that it does not compare to the quality of the original. The way the transitions work in the original and how the models flow into each other in a seamless way is not replicated with this fan add-on. The fact that a different person made the new animations feels blatantly obvious. Even subtle things like the detail in the new models that make it extremely obvious that MMD was used whereas in the original you can’t tell the animation is using MMD because of how clean the models look. I can see that there was an attempt to emulate the style, it’s just not nearly as creative as the original and it feels like it’s intruding on the original work in an attempt to make it “better” when in reality it’s just amazing on it’s own. Sorry if this sounds harsh, this is intended to be constructive criticism. Everything I just said might be obvious, I just see nobody else talking about it so I felt like I had to say this.
