Good stuff! It's funny how so many people at fly-ins feel the need to do a foot drag on takeoff. But, when I fly with people normally, they hardly ever do them. Just an observation

Not sure why people are so stuck on doing a reverse. If it's questionable, just do a forward.... Unless it is super gusty, then I get it.

My thoughts too. When you have to do reverse launch on paramotor its probably too windy to fly. Unless you want to fly circles around LZ. Or launching from beach

I just don't understand why pilots with questionable skills attempt to take off with bare feet . . and then double-down with a foot-drag launch.

But they always have a helmet on . Seems like knee pads , elbow pads and leave your phone in your pocket are extremely more important than a helmet

@@jasonsatterley4282 maybe, but in case of a really bad drop, I'd still like my helmet - plus you definitely need ear protection and a place to mount a camera. ;) I've scraped my knee twice in ~400 flights, but long pants generally offset that risk. I've taken a few line burns and bruises on my arms, but never my elbows. I've twisted my ankle three times, so good boots are a high priority for me. A prop to the shins though . . ugggh, that would be terrible.

@@dkumpula001 10000% agree on the boots. I don't care if it's 99 degrees outside, I always have 2 pieces of gear - a helmet and my Saloman hiking boots. Good support for my old-man ankles and beefy heel coverage in case the worst happens. I'd prefer not to sever my achillies.
