I mean, there was a 17 year gap between 2 & 3. It's not implausible for them to break up. And let's be real. I love Bad Boys 2, but they never really had THAT much chemistry on screen. Like damn near all the females in these movies, she really was more a plot device than character to add tension to the Mike/Marcus dynamic, as well as giving them someone to save at the end of the movie.

I’ve met both Martin and Will Smith, with photos and videos from both random occasions. They’re both incredibly nice, and it made my girlfriend and I feel like we were meeting icons that were down to earth. The first random meeting was in NYC, we left the 40/40, and at the time, I Am Legend was being filmed. The street we needed to go through was blocked off with film equipment. We passed a hotel, and Will Smith was carrying 2 duffle bags. My girlfriend waved and he waved back, put down his bags, and since it was just my girlfriend and me, and her friend who came with her boyfriend, he gave us daps and pounds. He gave my girlfriend a hug and she froze up completely. This was the pre iPhone era, so my pictures and short 20 second videos are all 640x480i. My girlfriend’s boyfriend had nothing for him to sign, so he pulled out a $10 bill, and he signed it. He said goodby and I said thank you for being everything I hoped you’d be. Now, Martin Lawrence was filming College Road Trip with Raven Symoné, some of which was filmed by Bridgeport University in CT. My girlfriend and I were leaving the beach and we saw huge tables of food which was probably reserved for the extras. Raven Symoné came out of one of the buildings, with filming wrapping for the day. A few people, my girlfriend included, waved and said “Hi!” She never looked at the staff or the people who weren’t even looking for an autograph. She also didn’t look at any of the staff at all. No one existed to her. I’m not a fan of hers, but I can see how the people who just wanted to say hi were soul crushed. Heading toward the parking area, there was a massive crowd. Martin was literally in the middle of the crowd giving people hugs and daps, and posing for photos. This was the iPhone era, so my videos and photos actually look solid. It felt nice to say thank you for all of the Def Comedy Jam comedians you spotlighted. Thank you for the movies and Martin, the rare show that had both B.I.G. and 2Pac. That’s it. These are simple experiences, but Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were as down to earth as two literal living icons could be. They didn’t owe us anything. It would’ve been nice just to get a wave back.

@@petewashington32 I don’t think they showed that that’s how they did THAT shot. The shots they showed were when the camera was more close up. Will Smith was just moving the camera to face him, and then turning it to his point of view. This is a whole “toss the gun to the other person” maneuver. I kinda think the gun looks even shinier than the other bts footage, so I still kinda agree.

That one shot in partical is not CGI. We stuck the gun on to the camera with a magnet and just moved the camera really fast and then Martin grabbed it. And yeah we wanted the gun to be extra shiny. So it is stylized.

Bruh even me being born in 95, came across bad boys on cable in like 2001 and my mom and cousin turned it off and said nah we gotta go rent this so you can watch it all the way through. Couple years later I came home from school and my mom took me to my cousins house for a "surprise" and it was that my cousin had bad boys 2 on dvd and wanted to watch it with me

Number 2 was amazing. 3 was ok, I felt like Martin wasn't doing enough in it even though the movie was trying to do so much, honestly it was kind of stupid to me. I really want to enjoy 4 but I'm not going to get my hopes up. I still love the franchise though, always been a big fan of both of those guys.

I really enjoyed this movie Reggie was badass in this one. I wondered why Theresa Randle who played Martin Lawrence wife wasn't in this one. And Gabrielle Union. Martin Lawrence was really funny in this movie😂 this movie was pretty deep because Marcus Martin Lawrence character died for a few seconds and then he saw his captain who was killed in the third movie and his Captain said it's not your time. I'm so glad they left off when the third one ended with Will Smith's son being locked up and then this one Jacob Scipio aka Armando Armas joined the crew. He was a badass also.

Here yall go acting dense....Mike had panic attacks due to fear of losing his family & the death of captian howard. Whats not to get? Martin was annoying they had him do too much. But Reggie got his chance to shine & he ATE!!!! This was better than the 3rd for sure. As far as ranking 1 2 4 3. I really liked the villain too & every time they showed captain howard i teared up. The wife part was out of nowhere. I think part 2 might be more quoteable I loved Jordi Molla as the villian loved Tchéky Karyo as the villian in the first as well. I wish Martin the best hope he gets better❤ did Martin watch the same movie??? Yes they defintely touched on them getting old. Chemistry still top notch theyre good friends

Not gonna lie, I had a wicked time with this movie. While it's not as insane, action-wise, as "Bad Boys II" (due to a smaller budget), I think it's definitely up there with how inventive the action scenes are with drone shots, sequence transitions, first person, and gun-tossing. The story is hella stupid (as with the other movies), but for whatever reason, I actually found myself more engaged/invested in the Mike/Marcus dynamic this time around. Gotta disagree a bit with Korey/Martin; I think this movie did a better job acknowledging the guys getting older and dealing with new issues that come with age and experience, than they did with the previous movie (which I liked, btw). At least there's more of a throughline here, whereas in the previous movie, it kinda just dovetails without any solid resolution other than the fact that they have to go fight the bad guy. At least by the time THIS movie's climax hits, both Mike & Marcus' internal arcs come to a head and are dealt with. Are they dealt with in a satisfying manner? That's up to personal preference lol, but I personally thought they came to a head just fine in terms of what these movies are. I do agree some of Martin's comedy didn't 100% land, but I actually appreciate that he was in on the action A LOT more with this entry, rather than just playing second fiddle and letting Will have all the fun. It felt like a true co-lead operation with Martin & Will sharing the load of carrying the movie, whereas with Part 1 it feels like it's Martin's movie with Will tagging along, and with Part 3 it's Will's movie with Martin tagging along. While I do wish the supporting cast got fleshed out more, I actually did appreciate that they all had a moment to shine. Maybe it's asking too much for people to remember the "lore" of "Bad Boys", but I did like the numerous callbacks to story and motif elements of the previous 3 movies. Is it a "good" movie? No. Fuck, if i'm being real, NONE of these movies are. But all of them are super fun and entertaining at the most basic level, and that's what I've always wanted out of these. Maybe I'm not demanding enough, but this was honestly a great time at the theatres. The chemistry between Martin & Will is as great and endearing as ever. Some people might complain that it's a bit *too* stylized, but honestly, that's another thing that made me like it so much. Shout out to the directors Adil & Billal. They really stepped up the action, and got real inventive with it. If they're in the running for the next Spidey movie in the MCU, I definitely would like to see how they handle action sequences with that character, because they really got to push some boundaries and have fun with "Bad Boys: Ride or Die." Oh yes, and Reggie is indeed the Real MVP. Amazing how far that character has come lol.
