I absolutely loved the tiny Gameboy ports. I was especially fond of Jurassic Park, Mortal Kombat, and Primal Rage.

The thing about Banjo Pilot is that it was originally Diddy Kong Pilot, a sequel to Diddy Kong Racing. The game went through development hell, and Rare was forced to make it the shit that Banjo Pilot is now since they were being bought by Microsoft.

When it comes to 1 on 1 fighting games, Killer Instinct on the GB was also a good port. You could still pull off big combos with just to buttons and it was fast.

And this is reasons why I would prefer to use a GPD Win 2 because, at the very least with that, not only can I play NES, Super NES, Nintendo 64, PlayStation, Arcade and Sega Genesis games on the go as they are all originally meant to be, but also I can play GameCube, PlayStation 2 and PC games on the go also as they are all originally meant to be as well.

As of the 90's...those ports are considered as the pinnacle.

Let's not forget "Mega Man & Bass", which is a Game Boy Advance port of the SNES game "Rockman & Forte". Sure, it may be playable, but it's still ridiculously hard to beat (unless you're a die-hard Mega Man fan who is quite skilled), and the Game Boy Advance version also suffers from screen-crunching. :P

Banjo Pilot just couldn't work on the GBA; it was supposed to have 3D environments (you can find some footage on KZfaq, but I don't know of a playable prototype), but the system couldn't handle the engine being used... so... yeah...

5:19 Actually, a prototype of the game has another engine which is much better, and actually IMPRESSING. It is available online for free. Kinda sad this prototype was scrapped due to "FPS Issues" because that would have made Banjo-Pilot a really impressive GBA game.

Fun fact about Sonic 1 for the GBA... The development team was disallowed from using the original source code and was made to port the game using the Sonic Advance engine. Y'know, an engine that isn't made to handle as many sprites as the average 16-bit Sonic game and was also different physics-wise.

The only good part about Game Boy Mortal Kombat is that you can play as Goro. But they even messed that up, since you need to play through the game once to do it.

I did a detailed review on the GBC port of MK4. Man, that game is utter garbage. That game haunted my subconscious for several years, due to the fact that I made a video on it back in 2010, and it was total shit, seeing I was a 15 year old kid with crappy entry level equipment, so I made a completely new one two months ago, in an attempt to redeem myself, and look at the game with a more critical eye. It's not a perfect review, but I'm mostly happy with how it turned out.

For Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis for the GBA, the colours are accurate, the sound’s alright, even though it’s not as good as the original, but the controls are probably the worst thing, especially when it comes to coding the game from scratch. It was basically trying to make a port of Sonic 1, and they couldn’t even get that right. The original was hard, but at least it was enjoyable.

Worst about Sonic GBA is someone actually made a better version Mario Party Advance was great to me except for the single player board. However, I loved the actual board game mode they chucked in (reminds me of MP5)
