In truth that’s not gaster that’s the purple/pink soul sans took from the secret lab after killing alphys gaster died with sans after that thing took sans body( we know bc of a dialogue from the soul when it says that it was stuck in the lab for a very long time (depending on how much time u think gaster disappeared and frisk had fallen took) (idk if we can call it sans body anymore)

Dust is dead, hence why we hear the death sound effect at part 4 in the end. Only Gaster remains.

Seems that awekening gaster's soul is close to being as strong as killer's 3 soul shape Which is amazing since dust doesnt have the same power as him
