The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
family.
Thank you so much for following along on this journey. Your love and support help me so much.

@@j.s.173Her complexion looks better and healthy when you take away the breathing apparatus. I think that's what the poster meant, how she did look better overall, a lot better. She wasn't nowhere near as bad as last month. It happened really quick, poor jenny and I feel heartbroken for her. You could tell she felt terrible that she was going to leave Kyle and her kid. She felt bad for them more than thinking about herself:/ but Jenny is no longer suffering with all these treatments and terrible side effects. Not that that makes it any better, but of course it's hard to watch them go through that and hard for them to go through it.

Thank you for saying that. I had 3B cervical cancer and I have guilt because I didn’t get as sick as others from the treatment. I never got nauseous, I never got sickly, and I just thought it was the treatment wasn’t that bad. When my doctor told me how amazing I was doing, I told him it wasn’t that bad. He then proceeded to tell me that people with less advanced cases don’t handle it nearly as well. I felt guilty that others were suffering so much and I felt fine. When I tell people about the guilt they don’t understand.

You didn’t lose your cognition or ability to recognize the ones you loved. They were by your side, and Kyle held you in his arms in those last hours. They were in deep denial. After this video was made, both Jenny and Kyle said that they didn’t believe that Jenny would die. It’s very difficult for some patients and their families to accept that life is ending. That’s probably a good thing. The denial mechanism helps people to cope in the face of adversity. It’s very sad that Jenny’s children lost their mother so young and to such a horrible, viscous disease. I wonder when, with all the money that gets pumped into cancer research, we will be given a cure or at least preventative measures that actually work.

My husband was diagnosed with advanced Stage 4 bone cancer when he was 50 - and knew with absolute certainty he had months left. We scrambled to do wills, advance directives, financial power of attorney and medical power of attorney. There are so many details but those are the only extremely important ones. Because right now every minute is more precious than anyone else can know. It’s been 6 years now that I have been alone and I will share this: don’t focus on being task oriented. Focus on gifts of creativity - audio letters to your kids, adding special items to their memory boxes, holding onto each other - have ice cream for dinner. Have a silly hat day. Take lots of photographs and leave lists of favorite songs and your favorite color and other small things that will mean everything to your children. Surrounding both of you with love, light & peace 💚

The cancer journey is a HARD one! I'm so sorry to hear about the scan results, but hope some relief is in store for you. I cried a long watching this video... I have had such heartbreak over the years because of loved ones having this HORRIBLE disease! Some lived a lot longer than expected, and others were gone too soon. I see the love you both have for each other, and that alone makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE in your journey. I have never seen such strong people working together without falling apart, and the other leaving because of not being able to handle going through the other person's journey. I pray for you all day, every day. On a brighter note 🎶🎵, my cousin who was diagnosed over 7 years ago, is still with us, but in and out of the hospital, and trying all new treatments available. She is a fighter like YOU Jenny! She just went in hospital to have a pacemaker put in place. She still can put a smile on her face, and others, and stays positive even in the worst of her times. I pray God blesses you, and gives more time with your family 🙏💖😊. I send my love, positivity, hugs, and peace of mind to all of you. I have COPD, and lung issues are always a front-runner. I know every day is a gift I get to cherish my family! Peace to all of you.

LMD is pretty devastating. Rare AND devastating for someone with advanced cancer. The average is three to six months, actually. All of the invasive treatments in the world won't cure this. SHE told her two small children that she is dying because of THIS. Is that her being negative? Do you really think she's at a point of wanting false hope crammed down her throat with health comparisons of some random person that some random viewer knows? And since you feel the need to force your religion on people: Your lord and savior has a very lousy track record of curing people from this as well. When it's time for us to go, we will go...and believe me when I say, you will WANT to go after you find out what heaven actually has in store for us. We pray to our higher power....to help us through what ever we are facing from the earth that we as humans have damaged in so many ways..."God " did not cause this...he gave us the earth clean and fresh...with pure air, water, and food....and we contaminated it with our greed, lust, and competivness....so we ask fof forgiveness and also gratitude for the opportunity to feel loved...and to love others...and your family has been so successful in your true honest love that you share with yourselves and with us...thank you so much for showing me at 70 years old that pure love still exists....and you let nothing damage that ❤❤❤❤

I lost my husband 5 years ago. I didn't have time to prepare emotionally. I was basically useless and his family had to take me by the hand and walk me through funeral arrangements. My advice is to have everything planned out from palliative and hospice care to funeral arrangements. Kyle should know who is going to do what, when, and for how long before the situation ever arises. All he should have to do is make a phone call and have things just start to happen as needed. He is going to be under a lot of stress and if he is like most people thinking and decision making will be difficult at best. I have been praying hard for you and will continue to do so. I'm an optimist at heart and still believe in miracles.

Tips for y’all: 1. Make a mold/cast of Mom’s hand holding each of your kids hands. Y’all can do that at home. 2. Gather pictures of you (Mom) with each child and make a quilt or blanket for each child. Make it a good size for each child. This would be good to give each child before the end. Let them know whenever they miss Mom they can wrap the quilt around them like a hug from Mom. 3. Get a bear for each child with a voice message from Mom. 4. Get a copy of your heartbeat and frame it for Kyle. I really am sorry. The positive thing is y’all have some time to take tons of pictures with family and friends. I know y’all are being prayed for. Hugs and love.

My parents BOTH did this and their individual letters had very strong meaning to me in very different ways from the different perspectives of Mom and Dad. Dad’s card was a sillly card but inside very clear loving message. My life got back on track, stayed on track from when I first read these cards. I still treasure these.

Hi guys my husband died two years ago from aggressive form of colon cancer. Few things you guys need to make sure you have organised: 1. medical directive this is sooo important so that you carry out jenny wishes 2. Living will which gives you authority to act on jenny’s behalf with banks, etc 3. Jenny should ensure to give you access to all her medical records 4. Get counselling now for Kyle and the children as grief starts before the person passes , it’s called anticipatory grief

I agree with the above it is very hard once someone passes to get access if you don’t have it. Do record your voice. I am 54 and lost my Mama a few years ago it was and is very hard for me. I am at complete peace she is with the Lord. I will say there are times I have grieved not taping her voice. Sometimes I want to here her voice more than anything in the world. I actually lost all 3 of my parents, one bonus Dad (stepdad) within a year. I have my biological dad’s on my VM. Now it doesn’t really make sense but due to his health and mental illness he wanted to speak to me since I am a RN. I do treasure them though but being super close to my Mama I miss that more the anything. Everyone is giving you good advice. I am so sorry for what you are going through I tried to be positive and usually made it through. I agree with counseling many hospitals have therapist that deal with this and can really help during this time. If you take the kids you could see if they have child life therapist there because they can help as well. They have a lot of things to keep them occupied. I love your upbeat attitude and that is one thing I always strived for as my Mama had a terminal illness. Enjoy your time with your kids when talking to the therapist they can help decide if being with you or at school and busy would be better. It may be different. I will certainly keep you, your family and your medical teams in my prayers. They seem to really have built a strong bond with you and seem to be doing all they can. I will keep up with your journey and add y’all to my prayer list.

@@Tasha9315d a very rare form of aggressive abdominal cancer - they were only aware of one other person his age with the same thing. He was given an off label drug combo “Hail Mary” ( his dr called it) with chemo. It was an opening with this particular oncologist at our local hospital that came out of the blue. We were looking at other major medical centers but they all said there was nothing they could do. He had a 2% chance of surviving 6-18 months since the cancer was at stage 4 when they found it. Jenny & Kyle, I've been watching you all for a few months now. I have Stage 4 Lung Cancer and went through Radiation and just finished Chemotherapy. I am doing the Immunotherapy for the next 2yrs. So I kinda know what you have been going through. I'm praying for you all. Your strength is amazing. The love that I see between you both and your children is wonderful. My heart is hurting for you and your family. I will continue to watch. Just know that with God all things are possible. Which I know you know that. And my saying is if I don't get a healing here I'll get it when I get to heaven. Hey I love you guys.

I had grade 3 to 4 kidney cancer and only found out because I had gallstones. My tumour was over 5cm and was growing perfectly without spreading. 10 months later I had surgery to remove 1/3 of my kidney and no follow up treatment. I'm now 21 months clear post surgery. I have the most amazing girlfriend and a young family. I'm so lucky and although I'm not religious "I'm so thankful that somebody was looking out for me" to find my tumour the way I did. 5 months after surgery I lost my dad to bowel cancer and I lost a close friend who fought for 3yrs against cancer. I fully understand the survivors guilt after losing 2 people who were so important to me. The strength, love and support of a partner, family and friends can never be understated and I see this in this video. I wish him and his family the very best.

Jenny and Kyle, I have never, ever commented on social media--this is my first time! Ialways make it a rule not to get involved or read much on the internet, as it tends to be negative. I don’t have Facebook, Twitter or Tic Toc. However, one day, I was looking for something on KZfaq and saw one of your videos. I was so moved by how special you both are. I subscribed and through watching your journey, you have inspired me through several rough patches. I have prayed for your family like I never have before and will continue to going forward. I know you and your children both will be ok as you are rich with God’s and your family’s love. Someday, if your subscribers are asked to describe, on behalf of your children, how wonderful and loving their parents are, it will be the one and only time I will make a second comment. Love, strength, and happiness to you.

He did have spine radiation & it worked even though he was told that it was a “bandaid” treatment. I will continue to pray for you as I have been all along. You have expressed that you believe in a higher power. Please keep believing! I pray that you have a “peace that passes understanding” meaning that no human can comprehend your peace through the fight that you are going through. 🙏🙏❤ Kyle, hug her with all your might & plz pray for strength. Once you have the painful logistics and legal matters sorted out, please spend all the time you possibly can doing everything you cherish with each other and the kids. You are not dying, You are living, you have clarity that is truly amazing. Cancer will not win because it may destroy your body but it can not steal your soul. Of course this is not the news anyone wanted for you, but what is really a superpower you both have is how you are sharing with others is its not how you die but how you live everyday .I am still going to pray that Jenny has many, many good months ahead. Mon., July 24 11:20pm. Totally agree with the positive attitude. You are the bravest couple ever! May this process be free of pain as much as possible. I admire your attitude. My husband died of renal and liver failure 4 years ago and the positivity was our motto as well. All during our home dialysis for 5 years, that was our attitude. Fill your time with laughter, fun activities and whatever else with those kids! May God bless you both with quality time together. Your strong love for each other is so beautiful. Hugs to both of you from Michigan! You are such an inspiration! Brenda Bridgett, Swartz Creek, MI.

My oncologist talked me through this. Update wills (both of yours), advanced directives, funeral arrangements, letters and videos to back up your decisions and as many pictures with your kids as possible. Daily prayers of course and a positive attitude!! I’m stage 4 metastatic cancer and had to have a very real conversation with my kids who are grown, but it doesn’t make it any easier. Decide which hospice can assist with end of life transition and pain management. I’m a nurse as well and this is the same information I give my patients and received for myself. You are correct in saying positivity and live light hearted. I will be praying for you sister!! And we will meet on the other side. Enjoy life however you see fit!! 💖💚

Prayers for you and family. I was diagnosed with a lung issue and given 1-3 months...that was 37 years ago. My husband was healthy, exercised regularly, was active. He sat down to put his shoes on at age 64 and died from a stroke. My point is no one knows exactly how much time we have. Tell people close to you how much you care about them, write letters to your children for major events in their future. Wear those rings you bought so they identify them with you when you leave them to them and rest happy that you are loved- by people you haven't even met. Not many can claim that. Love and warm hugs...

This is for Kyle. I watched your video asking for support/advice on how to handle being a caregiver. Though I am not a caregiver, I am the wife of the caregiver. In December of 2020 I was rushed to the hospital with with two abdominal perforations. I was told the scan looked like that of a shooting victim. Within minutes I was being prepped for emergency surgery. The trauma surgeon shook my hand, told me everything he had to do, AND told me I probably wouldn’t survive. He insisted I call my husband, who was not allowed in the hospital because of COVID. It was THE most terrifying phone call of my life. I was pretty stoic until then. Nothing in this life prepares one for basically saying goodbye over the phone. Twelve hours later, we were done. I was in critical care ICU for a week, then sent to the “regular” ICU. I was released on Christmas Eve. My husband had to step right in as it was the holidays. He took care of everything. I was as weak as a kitten. Then a week later, I suffered a wound dehiscence, and required another surgery to repair the wound. Then another surgery, debriding, Hickman line for him to administer antibiotics. More surgery, then I almost died from severe dehydration. The nurses came twice weekly so it was up to my husband to care for me and close up the wound that compromised the entirety of my stomach. Every day, two excruciating wound dressing changes, etc. this is what I want you to know, Don’t let this happen to you. We both transitioned into patient and caregiver, rather than husband and wife, best friends, lovers. Things became very stressful and we resented one another from time to time. We had to work hard to climb out of that hole to get back to what we were. It took patience, understanding, love and respect. Stay husband and wife. Take respite time for yourself. She will have plenty of support. Take care.
