If I've missed this at some point, I apologize, but Bad Omens is my fav band and this band and the song I'm about to recommend happens to be by my #2 fav band.. I doubt KZfaq will allow the link to stay in this comment, but I'm going to try. If not, search for Just Pretend covered by #crispinearl or #theveerunion... This is my fav song off of their(Bad Omens new album, and this cover does this major justice. It's acoustic so you should lifke it based on your comments in this react lol.. I can listen to it over and over. If you like Bad Omens, you'll like The Veer Union. They are so fire..

Mercy is their most underrated track imo. Everyone was all about Dethrone and Limits from that album, but Mercy is the best track. I think they know it too, cuz it was the only non single they included in their acoustic ep AND in their live album

Mercy is hands down my favourite song by BO. All versions of this are brilliant: live, unplugged, and studio versions each deliver something a little different. Unplugged definitely reveals the sadness behind the lyrics, but live is just a release of pent up fury. Definitely worth checking out all the variations.

I love Mercy and the unplugged version. If I remember correctly, Noah mentioned this song is more of a reference to society and how broken we are and that we live and die in vain which is why god wouldn’t take us back as humans because we wouldn’t show mercy to others. It’s very thoughtful and frustrated lyricism that I respect. Thank you for the reaction! 🤍

Mercy is by far my favourite track of all time, not just by Bad Omens. It has a similar sound to the rest of the album, but it just hits a little different. Can’t wait for you to get around to the studio/live version, between this acoustic version and the studio, the emotion is phenomenal. Lyrics just strike a chord, and the chills are endless. Hope you’re having a good time dude, looking forward to the next!

As someone else commented, definitely worth checking out the original recorded version + the live version they recorded “from the barricade” in 2020. Definitely an underrated song.
