That got suppressed for like a thousand years because of the raise of orthodoxy, but eventually it popped back up in the renaissance, who merged Christian and classical ideals.

***** Also, a lot of the things you are referring to aren't actually in the bible at all, they're just Catholic doctrine. Much of that comes from Neo-platonic and Aristotelian philosophy, not Christianity.
