Another reminder of when I used to live in Redhill. The mini roundabout debate rages on on every dash cam channel. It amazing just how many people believe the first person at the roundabout has right of way, and the latest version of the highway code seems to imply the same thing. When I was learning to drive in the mid 80s, roundabouts were easy to understand, you give way to the right, and this hasn't changed. You wouldn't believe the number of times people don't give way to the right, then get aggressive when it's pointed out that they're wrong.

I know there are Bad Drivers, but, it still shockes me to see the stupidity of the things they do. 🚔

I've driven a 3.5 ton luton van along similar country roads. It's second nature to drive cautiously and always look out for potential hazards ahead.

That car that flooded your windscreen. I have had that several times. It is really inconsiderate that drivers do this. They really dont give a toss do they. I really worry about people who treat puddles and flooded roads as a challenge. Quite frankly when we had the recent storm, i knew that my normal route would be flooded. So i took an alternative route. (I know its not an option for all- but i would prefer a longer driver than driving through flooded roads and facing idiots like the car which flooded your windscreen)

i did a road trip with my daughter from manchester to leighton buzzard took 3 hrs there because of 4 car accidents and 6 hrs back because of more accidents my satnav was going crazy with all the warnings

You did admit it wasn't a real country road. Out here in the sticks, it's much the same, but forget the perfect road surface on the road you showed. We don't even get that good a surface on the nearby M5... our country lanes have potholes you need to change gear to get out of.

5:26 Easily explained: It's a stubborn German car, and it always wants to drive where it is most comfortable, i.e. on the RIGHT side. If you check with long term BMW drivers in the UK, SA, India, ... you'll find that usually their left biceps is slightly larger than the right, from the constant pressure to the left they have to apply. Fact!

I just avoid all white vans and construction vehicle these days, anything with reflective chevrons on the back seems to mean I can drive how I like and woe betide anything that gets in my way..... I know there are some good van drivers out there, but 80% of them seem to use their vehicle like a weapon.....

Phone aside, there isn't a decent enough gap between you and the vehicle behind, it is only about 2.5 seconds so, given the rainy conditions, if anything, the vehicle behind is too close! Narrow country roads you can't get too focussed on who is on the right or wrong side. I tend to use the right hand side of the road on a left bend for better visibility and lean over top the left side of my car for a right bend. You're not supposed to just sit still in the drivers seat, move around to help see what is going on and avoid blind spots. That van deffo misjudged it though it is worth looking for somewhere to pull over and let the van past if they are driving like that. Keeping them behind you is way more risk, let them get past and crash into someone else so someone else gets an increased insurance cost and not you. The Fiat 500 may have looked over at the time when the roadworks sign was obstructing the view. Expect people to follow priority and expect to be in an accident :) Not really much surprising here, just typical driving mistakes. There will never be a shortage of these videos while humans drive vehicles cos EVERY human makes mistakes so every driver is likely to make a mistake in a 30 minute journey. Doesn't mmean they are an idiot, the term Idiot (along with other ruder words) doesn't refer to you insulting someone, it just indicates when you have lost your cool and are at greater risk of being involved in a collision eg not as good a driver as you could be. This is true of EVERY driver

I came up from the Channel Tunnel on Sunday lunchtime and onto the M25 there was a stranded vehicle after Clacket's Lane Services, so what did all the 'special' people do? Pull off at the services, drive down the parallel road and back out onto the slip road making even more conjestion. Oh then we had your favourite M3 juction, followed by the same queue as on your clip from Heathrow and up past the M4 with the same 'special' people. After driving all weekend in France and Belgium, it makes you realise that the majority of the 'special' people live in the UK and how crap our road system is.

The Fiat 500 at about 6 mins in: I don't think she looked at you at all! She seemed to be looking straight ahead - perhaps distracted by the child?

Ré country roads; there is one local to me, that I used to use 4-6 times a day when I was a semi-professional driver; you turn off a main road and there is ~75m of 2 lane road before it narrows to a single width lane; that narrow section is around 350m long before there is a tiny pull-in; then another 200m until it widens back into two lanes. I was approaching the main road, just passing that tiny pull-in; when a white Mercedes turns onto the lane from the main road; the driver proceeded to drive along the 75m stretch, then 1/2 a car's length into the narrow section of the road and stopped right in front of me. I assumed the driver hadnt been paying attention, and would back up 3-5 metres to let me through; but no; the woman driver started flashing her lights and sounding her horn; then winds down her window and yells at me to back up (at this point I recognised her). Like hell, I am not backing up 350m, and I tell her so; she continues yelling at me, so I switched off my engine and picked up the paperback I read during rest breaks, and held it up high enough for her to see me turning the pages. About ten minutes later, she admitted defeat, and backed up JUST far enough for me to squeeze through. Now, she wasnt a stranger to the area, she was an utter tosspot in her 40's who lives locally, and who I had regularly seen going the wrong way around a local roundabout, because she wants the 4th exit; but doesnt want to go all the way round.

The roads are getting worse each day with people's attitude.Patience is non existent with people taking more and more dangerous risks such as taking slip roads from the outside lane of a motorway,corner cutting cretins (another t shirt slogan).I also on a daily basis drive an long wheel base sprinter and I think I'm a considerate driver.I get a move on but don't do things dangerously to get to my destination.Always enjoy your videos and I haven't commented much lately as I've been watching them a lot from my TV but when you were at Windsor and said "pilchard passenger on the phone who's brain-dead" I nearly crapped myself😂😂😂

Last clip van arrived and entered roundabout before you. You had give way lines so as the van entered roundabout before you it is there priority, you that has to accept . You give way to traffic from right on roundabout not approaching as there are give way lines.
