Every time I see the finish at Watkins Glenn, I always get this big goofy grin on my face. It never fails. Good Lord what a finish. I love it.

That last lap at the Glen was absolutely amazing in person. My whole grandstand was on their feet watching the big screen with the live feed on it. We were at the exit of turn 1 so we saw Busch get spun.

I believe that's from the intercom system at the track. Most tracks have the radio coverage playing for when the spectators can't see the cars.

2012 has had some awesome racing, I really don't get what people have been complaining about in recent years because what we have now is way more competitive than previous years. Average margin is victory is down, leaders/lead changes are up and loop data has shown a record number of passes for position throughout the field in the last couple years.

I agree. I enjoyed Bristol more than Kanas. Bristol had hard racing all night long even on long green flag. Kanas was intense for that moment of yellows every other laps, but once we got to 5 laps of green flag runs, the racing was spread out and uneventful.

Kansas didnt have a strong finish. Talladega 4-wide was very fun, But that wreck was still badass no question there. 2-3 Big-Ones per season isnt bad, keeps things interesting. Plus thats the kind of stuff that attracts new fans, which is what NASCAR needs. I myself, also got hooked after seeing a big crash about 5 years ago. Still part of the reason why I love RP racing. I hope 2013 will be a better season. OH, and BTW Jimmie for 6 baby, WOOOO!! lol

That was certainly true in 2011 and earlier, but gosh, so many races in 2012 have been really uneventful, especially on faster tracks. It's so hard to catch and pass the leader because of aero push. A lot of lead changes this year have been due to the cycle of green-flag pit stops. There's definitely been some fantastic moments, but for every Watkins Glen slidefest we've had two or three Texas parades.

I still believe the 1.5 mile tracks are sucking the fun out of nascar. What happened to all the little weirdo one-off tracks like nashville, nazareth, salem, wilkes-barre, and the old oval atlanta. Now its half cookie-cutter tri ovals.

Totally. Hell even Bristol now is getting boring with long green flag runs. They ruined that place when they reconfigured the turns. Im glad Bruton decided to change it back though so hopefully itll get back to the same ole Bristol we love. Thats what real racings all about, not just driving around and around non stop. Gota have beating and banging.

2012 has had awesome racing for the championship. The battle between the 2, 48, and 11 has been pretty fun to watch. But overall the racing has just plain sucked, especially on the 1.5 milers. Thank god for fuel mileage to keep it interesting, cause there is no passing nowadays. There has been some exciting moments but definitely not as much as 2011

Michael Benedict Uhm no, if he wanted to wreck him, why would he hit the rear bumper? Any idiot knows to aim for the quarter panel. He wasn't trying to wreck him, he was racing him hard, if you think that's dirty, watch Allmendinger vs. Ambrose last year. That shit was intense. Shame the drama ended before the last lap.

2012 Was a great season i think! Why? Because it was WAY better then 2011,2010,2009,2008,2007,2006 And in 2012 here are i few thing about that year witch i think where awsome... 1.Daytona 500 because Juan Montoya hit a jet dryer (I know it wasnt funny it was SURPRISING!) 2.Watkins Glen why Because of that awsome finish & Um well Las Vegas Trucks & Homstead Trucks was awsome but there was alot more good moments but i cant list because i only have a few more characters well 21 more!

I can agree with that. It did get better after Mike Helton said "Boys, have at it." I just hate how restricted NASCAR has made the sport. Nobody's been too awfully injured since Earnhardt's death (with the exception of a few Nationwide and ARCA drivers a year or 2 after) yet they still feel the need to change something every time someone flips over.

***** Lame racing is exactly what was seen for a solid 5 or 6 years when they started changing all of the rules. The C.O.T. to me just seemed to really break the sport altogether. It started the tandem racing at the superspeedways, which was painful to watch. The cars always got spread out no matter where they went. The same people dominated every year. It was boring. You may have a different opinion and I respect itm
@garettprice3246
@garettprice3246 9 жыл бұрын
***** They're making more changes in 2015. Dropping the HP down to 700. Banned testing anywhere outside of NASCAR sanctioned tire tests. Honestly that kind of stuff doesn't make any sense to me.

Garett Price Crucially they are dropping the downforce, which has been what killed the COT and the first year of the Gen-6. There has been way too much aerodynamic downforce on this car with the huge spoiler, splitter etc.
