Whew! Had a “friend” like this and had to breakawaaaaay. We were actually friends from way back in our teens years but she became friends with a social media influencer and I noticed how she would idolise that friend, low-key covet her life and generally started exhibiting more self-absorbed and superficial behaviour. She only kept me as a friend because I’d be the one she could turn to when things in her life got intense, but when it came time for her to reciprocate that same energy towards me she simply didn’t have the capacity - her exact words. Such is life🙂
