Love this band & album! I saw these guys on a triple bill with Tesla & Great White in 1989. Great White couldn't play because Jack Russell had laryngitis, but the other two acts played extra long sets to make up for it. What a fantastic concert!

One of my heroes of all time, was 14 at the time this came out and bands like Badlands and guys like Ray turned my whole life around, and not just music wise but lifestyle wise and I thank the Man up above for introducing me to the best freaking and in your face genre that, to me, will ever exist, and of course I also thank him for putting people like Ray, we sure need many like you Big Ray, R.I.P mi hermano.

Standin' here, I got my eye on you Your story bleeds, but there's no review Honey drip and set my soul on fire Stealin' hearts got me walkin' the wire You're gonna lose control All night long When I find my love, love, love High wire Flash a smile, like a shiny blade Everyone there thinks ya got it made Sorry, child, can you take me higher But you keep me hangin' on your lonely wire You're gonna lose control All night long When I find my love, love, love High wire Oh, feels so good You give me lovin' like no one could You turn me child, inside out Still you leave me drownin' in a sea of doubt You're gonna lose control All night long You're gonna steal my soul, mama You can't go wrong When I find my love, love, love High wire Love, love, love Oh, sweet child, I know where you come from now High wire, baby Oh, oh, oh

Randy has entered the chat...
@lanceash5 ай бұрын
I agree with you. Most people are solidly in the Randy Rhoads camp, with a few in Zakk's, but very few think of Jake as being the best guitarist Ozzy ever had. Lemmy Kilmister once said that the most exciting guitar player he had ever seen besides Jimi Hendrix was Jake E. Lee.
@nicksmith8557Ай бұрын
That's no denying Randy's skill but Jake is genuinely at a much higher level in reality.

Because of a long standing legal issue between the record company, Gillen, and the families of HIV victims he had apparently intentionally infected. Not kidding. Some seriously f'ed up stuff happened.

Issues with Ray knowingly spreading the HIV to unsuspecting women, to make it short
@crazylegslife Жыл бұрын
Ray had HIV and spread it knowingly before he died... Industry blacklisted the band and stopped selling their albums.

Jake E. Lee- guitar Ray Gillen- vocals (he recorded the original vocals for The Eternal Idol with Sabbath and went on tour with them, but then his vocals were erased and replaced with Tony Martin's) Greg Chaisson- bass (don't know what happened with him) Eric Martin- drums (later became Kiss's drummer)
