Join us as we tour Badlands National Park followed by a visit to Cedar Pass Campground.

Tent camped in 2022 on our way to take son to MT for college. Didn't mind not having a fire. Running through the area and on to Mount Rushmore/Devils tower was the best few days. Lots of wildlife and amazing views of the landscape. Truly amazing!

I stayed here in late September. If you manage your expectations, it's not a bad place for one or two nights. I was at agate interior loop with one of the few back in sites. I think it was number 4. I camp in a tent on the back of my truck. Negative- no campfires, but alot of places have been banning anyway. Most of the sites were a bit close together. Positive- flush toilet! Group sink for dish washing. Shelter over picnic table. One of the best sunsets and sunrises. DARK sky at night. Woke to 3 deer having breakfast next to my site. At check-in, I was advised there is a badger who likes to roam the campground.

They all afraid of open spaces? Why do this? I mean I guess some people want a middle ground when it comes to amenities like restrooms. Still, why camp like this at all?

Interesting but I'm kind of surprised that so many are camped there...there's no trees or fire pits. Not my kind of camping.

There is tons of great hiking nearby. We stayed here just to be in the park. Campground was actually better than it looks.

I'd be good for a couple of nights in spring or fall but that would be it.

The prairies are endangered so fires are not allowed. This campground is spectacularly beautiful. Def not for the KOA/resort crowd but for real natural adventure seekers.

Let me know if you come across some unusual campgrounds that would be a good fit for both of our audiences.

It’s an example of why we create our videos. Definitely not what I expected for a national park.
