15 күн бұрынThe moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived!! Join me in the heart-pounding excitement as I tackle all of the jumping phases at Badminton Grassroots. I must admit, the nerves were sky-high, especially considering this was is the first time I have done the 100 at Badders, and after the course walk we know what a testing cross country track it was. It goes without saying; it was one of the most daunting courses I've ever faced. Despite my nerves, Jam was on spectacular form, and dug seriously deep around that XC course. Tune in to witness the thrilling highs and nerve-wracking moments as we navigate this unforgettable journey at Badminton. Holy Crap, where's Meg?? You've turned into a proper show jumping professional. I can believe how much your seat changed after I saw you with Mike somebody or either, the one who talked about riding like a jockey and your feet forward or back. What a change, sitting up, not yanking her back. I'm thrilled for you all: you; jam; and Wilma. Everyone will benefit from the changes you've implemented. Bravo! Now I'll settle in to watch the rest of this long awaited part 2!!!

Sat here crying for a stranger I've never met! Meg Elphick you are a inspiration to all us armatures, wannabes, enthusiasts and pony lovers. You have shown us a true representation of what equestrian sport can be. The highs the lows the confidence spills and everything in between. Pure chills watching your cross country round. Just phenomenal riding on a phenomenal pony. You make me want to be a better equestrian every time I watch you!

I saw fence 1 and thought “okay this is doable” then fence 2 appeared and I nearly cried🤣 So unbelievably proud of you man! I remember when you were saying you didn’t know whether you wanted to do the 90 or the 100, you braved it and you absolutely SMASHED IT! And Jam of course😂❤️

Seeing you with your little connie next to the other people on their "proper sport horses" put into perspective how well you did, yes jammy is a very good pony that gets you out of trouble, but this is still a bit of an uphill battle for her!

When she's tired you see her hooves turn to the left during a jump. He knows not to touch them. She really gave it her all. So did you Meg. Congratulations 🎉👏

My favourite part of this video was the care and attention to Jam immediately after cross country. Celebrations came after her welfare, what a team ❤️❤️❤️❤️

At the International 3DE in Melbourne which is just around the corner, horses come off xc into an enclave where they get a vet check, temperature etc. I'm surprised that doesn't happen in the UK especially at Badminton (unless it happens and everyone just leaves it our of their vlogs but I doubt that is the case)

You were fab. I hope that’s built some confidence. Jam is an utter legend, it’s so easy to forget she’s only 10. It really can’t be easy when you draw a crowd like that full of expectation. It’s a huge pressure and you handle it brilliantly

I LOVED the side-by-sides of the different jumps at the same time - thank you for including that! At 52:32, when Piggy is going over the course walk...is that you and Jam on the wall behind her? I'm so impressed with how you greeted all of your amazing supporters at the end of cross country and really engaged with each of them. So kind and genuine of you - they'll never forget that. Well you can ride a forward stride! Well done on that round. She was tiring six or so out. She stopped gaining height and begins to throw her front legs side ways to clear things but my goodness what an incredible little mare with a heart as big as a bucket. Congratulations on producing her to such a standard. Great to watch.

All the respect from your peers but friends.... Washing Jam off, the pit crew on her mane in under 8 mins!!! 5*'s, doing grooms work. Respect!!! They all came for Jam and her only human love. You we're meant to find each other. I've been checking for part 2 every day. Twice a day😂 We ALL haves much faith, and it's nice to see yours blossom again! Jam is such an amazing little horse, you can see she really loves what she does. And you absolutely smashed it Meg! You worked so hard to get where you are and it was thrilling to watch you nail those fences after seeing how hard you trained. You might not see it yet but I think the two of you together really are a force to be reckoned with! The fact that you've been beside the house on most of your visits to Badminton is a testament to all the hard work and dedication you've put into your lovely ponies (and definitely makes the notion of Jam did ALL the work not so true - your inspiring riding and training of all your animals paid no small part to that!). I am so PROUD of you, Meg!! You conquered a few femons when you did that BE 100 Course at Badders this year. And to see you in front of the house again, with Jam, made me smile from ear to ear!! And you deserved those few tears at the end, when you were in Hobbit's arms at the end of Cross Country!! You could see how proud Hobbit was of you. And how proud Simey, Emma, Hannah, Tina, and all of them were for you!! And people were right. You and Jam are a team. You guide Jam to the fence. You are the one who makes the decision on the line, and Jam says, Okay, Mum!! I'll jump that for you!! YOU are the one who makes it happen for Jam to help you out, if you goof up a stride. But, you are a GREAT RIDER, who had list her confidence after a bad fall. And it's taken a long time for you to find it again. And you have!! You'll always have the nerves, Meg. Always!!! Congratulations Meg! It was incredible watching you & Jam crush the 100! I was crying happy tears as you were celebrating after the last fence in CC! THE SCREAMS I SCRUMPT ON CROSS COUNTRY, I was riding those bloody jumps with you gurl!! 😂 Think it really goes to show what a positive influence you’ve made on the eventing circuit seeing all those young girls with adoration in their eyes waiting for you at the end of the course, I know I’d be lining up for a big ol’ bear hug!! Can’t say enough how much I appreciate you sharing your journey every year, it’s so lovely to watch your positive attitude bounce back after every challenge and milestone. Especially as a very nervous adult ammy myself about to tackle her pony club C cert, a whole massive 65cm xc and show jump rounds (everything’s big when you’ve been pottering round 45cm for 3 years!!) 🫣😅 Big big congrats to you girlie, can’t wait to watch you grow even more!! ❤️❤️❤️

Start watching that inside shoulder, Meg, it's trying to lead everything...pick up the inside shoulder, Rrrrotate through that core, keep the head atop the shoulders more, add inside leg to help Jam bend and step under with that inside hind. It is much improved, but it is still translating down and causing Jam to lean on that inside shoulder. Something that isn't massive, but definitely important as you progress.❤❤❤❤ If you were already doing as I recommended, know you need just a bit more focus on that during practice so it comes through the nerves on performance day🎉🎉🎉🎉

Brilliant well done ! Been great watching you, the herd and the mob grow and achieve over the years.... Fantastic to see such a great group of people support each other, achieve and have fun doing it.. always good to see Tina , Em, ( Lucy - in spirit) and Han (The "Super-groom"), Rock Doctor Pete ( what no Pete's Eats??), Rich, Simon, Freddy, The Hobbit and King Kenny and every one else get in and support. I actually knew your placings before the vlog came out because I looked at the online scores. Man, you’d have thought I’d won the lottery with how excited I got for you and Jam. So, so pleased for you both! What a team, and what a result after a solid year of tough work, mentally and physically. Your support team was amazing, and it was great to see you really believing in yourself and Jam- you definitely attacked several of those fences fearlessly! Watching your meet and greets was so lovely, I hope you feel the genuine support and pride from everyone. Enjoy the afterglow, can’t wait to hear about the possible “end of season aim”…
