Taufik dr pertama kali juara dunia emang gitu orangnya. Nyaris selalu flat tanpa ekspressi. Paling ada sedikit senyum kalau udah selesai match atau naik podium. Sejauh ini dia paling keliatan bahagia sampe nangis cuma pas olimpiade 2004. Sekarang setelah beliau pensiun, aku seneng banget melihat taufik main dengan ceria.

Amazing. Sometimes I love to see non top level games with older guys because they use their class and knowledge when the physical body can’t do the maximum shots. Good education on ‘power is not everything’

Lee Zii Jia doesn't have as many backhand tricks as Taufik, but LZJ's backhand smash is arguably better, but for other backhand shots, Taufik wins.

Taufik pernah memecahkan rekor backhand tercepat 260km/jam, hingga saat ini belom ada yg bisa memecahkan rekornya taufik, artinya lu tau knp beliau mendapat gelar "King Of Backhand Smash", melegenda dan terkenal hingga orang jepang membuat anime badminton dan memasukan karakter "Taufik Hidayat" Kedalamnya menjadi salah satu lawan terkuat dengan kekuatan backhand smashnya

With right height, angle, the grip and right amount of pace when you swing your racket from your upper part to the lower part of your hand (wrist) when you hit the shuttlecock. Taufik's wrist is flexible and strong so he can perform a backhand shot like that. Many professional players can perform a backhand shot like Taufik, but Taufik performs the best backhand shot and more often like no other players in real match.
