You don't need these, they are huge, over twice the size of SSNs, and designed to deliver thermonuclear weapons. Astute, or equivalent, is what is required. I wouldn't be surprised if the UK based a couple of Astutes in Oz until you have your own; building SSNs is serious engineering, it will take at least a decade for Oz to be in a position to build their own hulls and Oz will have to get the reactors built in USA or UK.

The AUKUS deal stipulates that the UK and the US will lease their nuclear submarines to shore up the Australian submarine service for when the Collins Class submarines start to retire in the 2030s.
